Whats with the gray blotches in the second one?

There is a lack of focus .Lack of symbolism,too many random elements in the center which seem irrelevant.Lack of narrative with the city background maybe it was placed there to fill in space but wallpapers dont need alot.Trying keep it simple with wallpapers you will find this to be common searching google.
