Day Three is underway and the crowd showing support in pink for Jane McGrath Foundation.

Some indian dude is wearing a pink turban for a nice touch and support.

One of the stands has been named Jane McGrath stand for the day in memoriam. Its great when the crowd shows a lot of support for Glenn McGrath and the charity.

Clarke on 253* and Hussey on 63*

Clarke's currently on 289* which is the highest score ever at SCG and the crowd are cheering for Clarke.

Sensational batting from Clarke.

What a day! Clarke declared when he was on 329* which is the 14th highest score in tests. He put the team first and rather than chasing personal glory, which I don't think anyone would have complained if he did since there are still 2 days to go, he declared as soon as Hussey reached 150*. Good to take two wickets as well but it should have been three but Haddin dropped a sitter off Pattinson who looked pissed when it was dropped. Haddin keeps dropping simple catches and surely there is a keeper with better hands than Haddin in the country. Should be an interesting day four since India are still 354 runs behind with 8 wickets in hand.

Wade should come into the side. But Haddin's decent.

Haddin has been missing too many simple chances in the past year. I would like to see Wade given a shot in the test team but it seems like the selectors aren't even thinking of dropping Haddin.

Australia won by an innings and 68 runs. Massive, massive win considering we only lost the four wickets yet we managed to take 20 for the match. It was a flat deck today but the bowlers kept running in and made things happen. Clarke topped of his awesome batting effort with the wicket of Tendulkar when he was on 80. Hilfenhaus picked up his second five-for in a row and his delivery to remove Laxman was incredible.

Bad news is that Pattinson is out for the rest of the series with a foot injury. Harris will take his place in the XI and Starc comes in to the squad.

WOW!

Day 1
India 161 All Out
Australia 149/0 rom 23 overs

Would have to be one of the most one sided days of test cricket I have ever seen. Australia picked four fast bowlers with Starc taking Lyon's place and he then won the toss and chose to bowl. The bowlers stuck early and the only resistance was a 68 run partnership between Kohli and Laxman. The tail completely crumbled and it baffles me that India dropped Ashwin. Yes it is a green pitch, but the curator even said it won't seam much it is just green because it is a different type of grass, but Ashwin was their second best batter at number 8. Hilfenhaus continues his awesome form with 4 wickets and Siddle took 3.

Then Warner took over and wow did he dominate. 50 from 36 balls and then he reached 100 with a six off just 69 balls. Incredible innings and he is still there at the end on 104* with Cowan by his side on 40*.

Can't wait for tomorrow!

Warner just got out for 180 from 159 balls. Incredible innings by him, he was seeing the ball so well and it has put Australia in a great position. Earlier in the day Cowan batted well for 74 before Marsh and Ponting got out cheaply. Currently Clarke is 18* and Hussey is 2*.

297/4 with a lead of 136.

Folded in the end for 369. No other batsman did anything but the bowlers, as always, chipped in with some helpful runs. Haddin got a duck :/

In reply India are 86/4 with Starc taking two wickets and Siddle and Hilfenhaus one each. They still trail by 122 runs and this is only day two.

India are proving themselves to be flat track bullies who cannot be competitive outside of their own backyard. Australia, England, South Africa, NZ, we can all compete around the globe, but India are bullies who dominate at home and then get wasted away. 1-1 vs SA, 0-4 vs England, and 0-3 atm against us.

That was another great win, loved Hilfenhaus' over right after lunch, taking the three wickets to quickly clean them up. Can't wait for the Adelaide test especially since Lyon should be back in the team.

India are terrible away from home but after this next test they don't play another away test for almost two years!

I just can't believe that their schedule is so easy. Hopefully be that time Australia are up to at least second in the rankings, if we beat India 4-0 we move into third I think. We are moving in the right direction but we need to ensure we kill off these rubber matches with big wins.
