Saw this on another forum a while back and I thought it'd be cool. and technically the guy who stole it, stole it from another website so is it stealing if you steal from a thief? I think so but that's not the point! And I don't know which section to post it in, so here goes...R.I.P me if I fuck this up.

It turns out you had an uncle your father never talked about who was a drunk. He was also an extremely wealthy Silicon Valley CEO.

Being a drunk, he's convinced that he slept with your mother about nine months before you were born and because he never had any kids of his own, hes convinced you are really his kid. how fun. You can decide the validity based on your own drinking habits. Hes left in the will his entire estate but with a condition.

I was at Wrestlemania in Seattle and that piece of crap Vince McMahon didn't shake my hand. Screw him! You can only have my money if you're going to put him out of business! or something funny like that.

We're going to say that his entire estate, including his banked money and stocks are worth approximately $14B. Because we're cool.

So here you are, $14,000,000,000 richer but you have to spend it on a wrestling promotion that puts Vince McMahon out of business. Or not. Your uncle is dead. But you're starting today.

Let's get some of the easy details down first:

Promotion Name:
Promotion Initials for either chanting or when you go public:
Promotion base:

Now that's out of the way, answer these questions:

Which currently un-signed independent talent do you sign for the promotion?

Which WWE/TNA/ROH/etc. talents would you try to steal away?

Who do you try to bring in to be your administration/staff?

Will you try to buy anyone else's promotions to beef up your talent roster and staff? Who would you keep and who would you drop?

How are you going to promote your product? Do you go after the usual television/pay per view deal or something else?

How will you set up your development league?

What would be your company's ideology? Would you run it just to what you like for wrestling to be or specifically run it to try to steal the wrestling market from the WWE?

Would your goal be to put Vince out of business (like your drunk uncle asked you to) or would you just try to make them the distant number two?

Which competitive tactics would you use to drive fans from the WWE to your promotion? Would you get dirty or try to play a clean fight?

Would you try to be socialist in cleaning up the wrestling industry by giving health care and benefits to your workers (which would ensure it difficult for the company to ever turn a profit) or would your goal to be turning a profit every year and being capitalist in your venture?

Lets say it worked and the WWE goes out of business. Do you sign Vince McMahon just to be a jackass?

Add anything else you feel would suit this. I don't know. I will probably fill this in myself when I'm not tired from writing stuff.

Promotion base: based in UK

Which currently un-signed independent talent do you sign for the promotion?
Any good wrestlers from or in the UK

Which WWE/TNA/ROH/etc. talents would you try to steal away? Any good wrestlers from or in the UK (Also The Blackfire from IWT)

Who do you try to bring in to be your administration/staff? Don't care really, good staff who do their job well I guess

Will you try to buy anyone else's promotions to beef up your talent roster and staff? Who would you keep and who would you drop? Nah WUK doesn't need to I feel

How are you going to promote your product? Do you go after the usual television/pay per view deal or something else? Weekly PPVs like TNA during the Asylum Years or whenever

How will you set up your development league?
Don't need one

What would be your company's ideology? Would you run it just to what you like for wrestling to be or specifically run it to try to steal the wrestling market from the WWE? Bring the EXTREME era

Would your goal be to put Vince out of business (like your drunk uncle asked you to) or would you just try to make them the distant number two? Whatever the EXTREME era brings

Would you try to be socialist in cleaning up the wrestling industry by giving health care and benefits to your workers (which would ensure it difficult for the company to ever turn a profit) or would your goal to be turning a profit every year and being capitalist in your venture? Yeah I'm a borderline socialist so sure healthcare and unionisation sounds good

Lets say it worked and the WWE goes out of business. Do you sign Vince McMahon just to be a jackass? Blackfire shoot fights Vince with Vince's hands tied behind his back

Which currently un-signed independent talent do you sign for the promotion? Tyson Dux, mainly focusing on wrestlers in central and eastern Canada.

Which WWE/TNA/ROH/etc. talents would you try to steal away? Tyler Breeze...he's unappreciated and gorgeous.

Who do you try to bring in to be your administration/staff? The Yetay...I mean...maybe Edge and Christian?

Will you try to buy anyone else's promotions to beef up your talent roster and staff? Who would you keep and who would you drop?: I doubt I'll have the money.

How are you going to promote your product? Do you go after the usual television/pay per view deal or something else?: Local Access TV, and the internets...

How will you set up your development league?:
Be real dood.

What would be your company's ideology? Would you run it just to what you like for wrestling to be or specifically run it to try to steal the wrestling market from the WWE?: Bringing the best of Canada to a grand stage.

Would your goal be to put Vince out of business (like your drunk uncle asked you to) or would you just try to make them the distant number two?: No...

Which competitive tactics would you use to drive fans from the WWE to your promotion? Would you get dirty or try to play a clean fight?: Just be good.

Would you try to be socialist in cleaning up the wrestling industry by giving health care and benefits to your workers (which would ensure it difficult for the company to ever turn a profit) or would your goal to be turning a profit every year and being capitalist in your venture?: If I can afford it, I would try to provide some...but in Canada healthcare is free so if I can't afford it I can have my feelings checked for free.

Lets say it worked and the WWE goes out of business. Do you sign Vince McMahon just to be a jackass?: He's 70 years old. I'll let him enjoy retirement...Although Meekmahan will probably live forever...

Promotion Name: Ascension Pro Wrestling
Promotion Initials for either chanting or when you go public: APW
Promotion base: IDK, somewhere in the US I guess.

Which currently un-signed independent talent do you sign for the promotion? Kurt Angle, Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio (Big name, part time), Wade Barrett (maybe in a commentary role if he doesn't want to wrestle), ZSJ, Joe Hendry, Chris Hero, Timothy Thatcher, Kong. I probably would try and convince CM Punk and AJ Lee to come in (even in part time status). They would give a big buzz if I could convince them to come on board.

Which WWE/TNA/ROH/etc. talents would you try to steal away? (obviously wouldn't get all of these)
WWE/NXT - Cesaro, Neville, Luke Harper, Austin Aries, Eric Young, Samoa Joe, Charlotte, Natalya
TNA - Gail Kim, Jade, Rosemary, Bobby Lashley (cross sport appeal), Matt Hardy, Mike Bennett (He's good on the Mic)
ROH - Marty Scurll, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole, Candice Lerae
NJPW - Kazuchika Okada, Ricochet, Will Ospreay
Lucha - Pentagon Jr., Sexy Star

Would you sign people to exclusive contracts or open contracts? A combination of both. I would sign the wrestlers that I plan to build the company around to exclusive contracts. The supporting roster would be made of a combination of both. I would use wrestlers on open contracts in order to keep the roster feeling fresh.

Who do you try to bring in to be your administration/staff? ???

Will you try to buy anyone else's promotions to beef up your talent roster and staff? Who would you keep and who would you drop?
If TNA is really going for ~40 million or less, I would probably buy them. I would keep about half of their roster, plus I would have their tape library that I could use.

How are you going to promote your product? Do you go after the usual television/pay per view deal or something else?
I will keep a normal weekly television show (1-2 hrs depending on roster size) and PPV schedule (Between 8-12 a year). This would be geared toward keeping the casual fans engaged. I would also run a secondary show more geared toward hardcore fans that would stream live on youtube (unless I get a Network like service). If I built up a decent sized female roster I could also run a secondary show just focused on female wrestling on youtube as well.

How will you set up your development league? I guess make some deals with some small promotions (all over the world)

What would be your company's ideology? Would you run it just to what you like for wrestling to be or specifically run it to try to steal the wrestling market from the WWE?
Well since our goal is to run WWE out of buisness, I guess that's where I would focus my efforts, but I would also do some stuff that I want to see in wrestling.

Would your goal be to put Vince out of business (like your drunk uncle asked you to) or would you just try to make them the distant number two? Whatever happens, happens.

Which competitive tactics would you use to drive fans from the WWE to your promotion? Would you get dirty or try to play a clean fight?
I would play targeted commercials during WWE tv shows. My commercials would focus on all the former WWE stars that I had signed (CM Punk, AJ Lee, Kurt Angle, etc.) in order to draw in casual fans. The Hardcore fans will come when they see the great matches that the other wrestlers are putting on during the youtube show. I may play some dirty tricks (Like WCW type suff) occasionally. Who knows?

How would you present your product? My product would be more in the style of modern sports. The commentators would talk about the stats before a big match up. We would have press conference style interviews before big matches/PPVs. I would also have an event similar to the BFG series/G1 Climax that lasted throughout most of the year. Lastly, I would focus on being a global promotion. Unlike WWE, I would focus on running shows and PPVs all the time (not just a few weeks out of the year).

Would you try to be socialist in cleaning up the wrestling industry by giving health care and benefits to your workers (which would ensure it difficult for the company to ever turn a profit) or would your goal to be turning a profit every year and being capitalist in your venture? If I could afford it, why not? It would give me a competitive advantage in negotiating with talent as well. Plus, I wouldn't bee too woried about making a profit. I could set aside less than 1 billion and use that to live on and then my goal would be to break even.

Lets say it worked and the WWE goes out of business. Do you sign Vince McMahon just to be a jackass? Nah, we good!

I'm awful with names

Promotion Name: Super B1skit Wrestling*
Promotion Initials for either chanting or when you go public: SBDub
Promotion base: America

Now that's out of the way, answer these questions:

Which currently un-signed independent talent do you sign for the promotion?

Beth Phoenix - great strong woman character

Awesome Kong - plays the big woman role perfectly

The Millennials - I'm friends with a member of the team, I'm bias, whatever

Which WWE/TNA/ROH/etc. talents would you try to steal away?

WWE: The Revival

The VaudeVillains

Baron Corbin

Bo Dallas

Curtis Axel

The Ascension

Neville

TNA: Aaron Rex

Bram

Cody & Brandi Rhodes

Decay

Davey Richards

Drew Galloway

Eddie Edwards

EC3

Gail Kim

Lashley

Moose

ROH: Adam Cole

Christopher Daniels

Motor City Machine Guns

reDragon

Jay Lethal

Dalton Castle

As I get bigger, I'd try to get bigger stars like Okada, Bayley, etc.

These guys or my staff can suggest guys I'd look into

Who do you try to bring in to be your administration/staff?

Jim Cornette (gets some things wrong, but can still be useful, and has connections)

Billy Corgan (unique ideas and money)

Jake Roberts (promo coach, can teach people about phycology)

Jeff Jarrett (could sell ice to an Eskimo, if he's willing to leave GFW, he could help attract talent)

Dutch Mantel

Jim Ross (commentary)

Open tryouts for 2nd commentator or both if JR says no

These guys can suggest bookers and coaches that I can look into

I'd fill a rarely seen president role, similar to Jack Tunney.

Will you try to buy anyone else's promotions to beef up your talent roster and staff? Who would you keep and who would you drop?

I wouldn't buy anyone, but I would like to poach so many people from Impact that it practically is bought.

How are you going to promote your product? Do you go after the usual television/pay per view deal or something else?

Television of course, ideally something like Spike, but realistically somewhere small to start out. To begin, I'd a advertise on the internet, because smarks are the most likely to check it out because they ALWAYS hate WWE.

How will you set up your development league?

To start out, I'd just have them train in a gym with any legends I can get to help me, and give them dark matches on the show, but later I'd love an FCW kind of thing.

What would be your company's ideology? Would you run it just to what you like for wrestling to be or specifically run it to try to steal the wrestling market from the WWE?

I want to be like WWE but reversed. For example, if WWE is 60% storyline and 40% wrestling, I'd want to be 60% wrestling and 40% storyline (and stay with this, even if WWE switches it up). If WWE ends up suffering because of me, whatever, that's on them.

Would your goal be to put Vince out of business (like your drunk uncle asked you to) or would you just try to make them the distant number two?

As I try to rise in popularity, no, but if they raid our talent, I may start firing back, and eventually a war could begin.

Which competitive tactics would you use to drive fans from the WWE to your promotion? Would you get dirty or try to play a clean fight?

I'd play clean, but if a war does start, then I have a saying… don't fight fair, fight efficient. Hopefully good storylines bring fans to Super B1skit Wrestling*

Would you try to be socialist in cleaning up the wrestling industry by giving health care and benefits to your workers (which would ensure it difficult for the company to ever turn a profit) or would your goal to be turning a profit every year and being capitalist in your venture?

Profit, but if someone got an injury, I'd try to pay half if the expense just to stay on good terms.

Let's say it worked and the WWE goes out of business. Do you sign Vince McMahon just to be a jackass?

Jackass? No, it'd be a publicity stunt like when Vince signed Bishoff (or however that's spelled). He'd probably hate my guts, and wouldn't take it, but oh well.

Add anything else you feel would suit this. I don't know. I will probably fill this in myself when I'm not tired from writing stuff.

I'd want my set to be a smaller version of this
maxresdefault.jpg

Also, I'd try to push Decay and more specifically Crazzy Steve up the card, and have some people join them to form a Flock-like Decay

*Name pending

Now that's out of the way, answer these questions:

Which currently un-signed independent talent do you sign for the promotion?
El Ligero, Cody & Brandi Rhodes, Aaron Stevens, Leaders of the new school, Rampage, Hendry, Angle, Nathan Cruz and Matt Myers.

Which WWE/TNA/ROH/etc. talents would you try to steal away?
Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro, Noam Dar, Cedric Alexander and Neville
Drew Galloway, E-LI Drake, Mandrews, Wolves and Rockstar Spud

Who do you try to bring in to be your administration/staff?
RUSSO. RUSSO. RUSSO. Also Heyman and Dwayne Johnson since he's creative and has alot of connections but mostly RUSSO. RUSSO.

Will you try to buy anyone else's promotions to beef up your talent roster and staff? Who would you keep and who would you drop?
Maybe some fellow British promotions like NGW.

How are you going to promote your product? Do you go after the usual television/pay per view deal or something else?
Go down a different route to other wrestling promotion and try get my show on a actual sports channel (preferably ESPN or Sky Sports) as this could add more credibility to the promotion

How will you set up your development league?
Probably wouldn't have one until a later date

What would be your company's ideology? Would you run it just to what you like for wrestling to be or specifically run it to try to steal the wrestling market from the WWE?
I'd run it so every division would be represented and supported, if there's a cruiserweight or tag division, I wouldn't neglect or belittle them like WWE do. I'd also like wrestlers to not be restricted to one division. If I had say, Davey Richards, just because he competes in the Heavyweight division doesn't mean he couldn't slide into a midcard division, it wouldn't be below him.

Would your goal be to put Vince out of business (like your drunk uncle asked you to) or would you just try to make them the distant number two?
Would just let the product run and go with what the public like.

Which competitive tactics would you use to drive fans from the WWE to your promotion? Would you get dirty or try to play a clean fight?
Just Purely outclass them by giving a more edgy show that has alot of wrestling, limited commercials and "to-the-point" shoot promo's, no writers for the wrestlers. Do like the WWE does with TNA and not acknowledge the WWE at all.

Would you try to be socialist in cleaning up the wrestling industry by giving health care and benefits to your workers (which would ensure it difficult for the company to ever turn a profit) or would your goal to be turning a profit every year and being capitalist in your venture?
Definitely health benefits for the roster, but would use other markets to help turn a profit like WWE do.

Lets say it worked and the WWE goes out of business. Do you sign Vince McMahon just to be a jackass?
Surprisingly yea because he's still a great on screen character for me to use. I will probably only have him for like 2 years but those 2 years will be glorious :p

Which currently un-signed independent talent do you sign for the promotion?: Probably someone like Joe Hendry, maybe also Will Osprey, obviously Al Blizzard!

Which WWE/TNA/ROH/etc. talents would you try to steal away? I would steal Samoa Joe, I am a great admirer of his work and I think he would be a great asset to the promotion. I also believe AJ Styles would be a great person to add to the promotion just because of what he can do in the ring is fucking awesome. Broken Matt Hardy as a character is interesting and also would make the company worthwhile to watch. Shinsuke Nakamura.

Who do you try to bring in to be your administration/staff? Shane McMahon without a doubt, make it potentially good and have the rivalry element seeded in at a early stage. I would also be interested in bringing in Tyson Kidd to be a commentator with Corey Graves to have the chemistry. Obviously there would need to be a writer involved; I would probably bring in (cringe time) Adam Blampied. I just need someone semi knowledgeable. I would bring in the Scottish lass, Susie Kennedy to be talent relations, she seems well respected and has connections to a shit ton of indie guys.

Will you try to buy anyone else's promotions to beef up your talent roster and staff? Who would you keep and who would you drop? I would not buy anyone. It is a waste of money.

How are you going to promote your product? Do you go after the usual television/pay per view deal or something else? I would put highlights on like BBC or ITV to boost interest in wrestling and also to gain fans. For the actual like shows, I would launch something like a YouTube service for the PPV and sell tickets for it, but put the PPV on YouTube Red. The actual shows like weekly ones will take place on free to watch TV, it would generate enough money for the company but; I would be tapping into a whole new market that WWE can't, accessing everyone.

How will you set up your development league? I would strike a deal with a smaller promotion giving them TV time or a production deal for like YouTube in order to get to their talent.

What would be your company's ideology? Would you run it just to what you like for wrestling to be or specifically run it to try to steal the wrestling market from the WWE? It would be for the fans by the fans, I would visit the forums to see what people are wanting and I wouldn't bother in the movie side of stuff. The merch would be meaningful and actually a decent deal.

Would your goal be to put Vince out of business (like your drunk uncle asked you to) or would you just try to make them the distant number two? To make them go bankrupt you need to make them number two then also make the smaller promotions over take them, making WWE having to pay more for talent and have a bunch of stuff they can't sell, resulting in stocks plummeting, corporate deals being withdrawn and profits being lowered massively.

Which competitive tactics would you use to drive fans from the WWE to your promotion? Would you get dirty or try to play a clean fight? I would make it free to watch, one way of making more fans watch it. I would also put it on a big TV Station, e.g. ITV in the UK for then that would also give us a bigger chance of getting more money in to re invest and also would give the fans a better chance to see wrestling for free. I would also sign all of the biggest indie fighters and make the fantasy matches happen without people even dreaming for it, there would be more of a focus on female wrestlers, not divas, I would make sure the women are treated as women and have female writers in charge.

Would you try to be socialist in cleaning up the wrestling industry by giving health care and benefits to your workers (which would ensure it difficult for the company to ever turn a profit) or would your goal to be turning a profit every year and being capitalist in your venture? I would ask the wrestlers if they would rather get paid more and get no perks, or if they would like to turn over some of their pay (like 5%) to get health care and travel costs.

Lets say it worked and the WWE goes out of business. Do you sign Vince McMahon just to be a jackass? Vince McMahon would just drive the promotion backwards in terms of ethics and morals. Therefore making me not want to sign him.
