No you can't.

I can do it on my phone. I don't use the mobile theme though, I just use the default one. And I make it the same way I would on the PC.

@Crayo maybe the statuses should be removed from mobile site? I feel like they slow the page loading down.

It looks like the majority can't use statuses via mobiles, so that's probably a good idea yeah.

I jumped the gun, if you click on the status bar, then on status comments, you can still comment. I can live with the bit of extra work.
