Right after I posted the thread about ages for a wrestler's prime, I realized that Orton has done so much in so little time that he may peak very soon. I'm not indicting his passion for wrestling. Only he knows how deep that is.

The best example is The Rock. He did almost everything a wrestler strives for in only 5 years that he got bored and went to make movies and hasn't looked back. Randy Orton could probably make a movie if he wanted. He seems to fit the Hollywood mold of looks.

Does anyone think it's possible he may be out of wrestling by age 35?

I've always seen Orton as a lifer, but it's a fair question.... Not like Rocky didn't grow up around the business and 'have it in his blood' too'.

Yeah good question CE. I never really thought about this, but there is a good chance that he will take the same path Rocky did. No one thought that Rock would completley leave the WWE so young and I don't think anyone sees Orton doing it either. Honestly I don't think anyone wants Orton to leave wrestling to make movies or TV but he could at any time. It would suck just as bad as The Rocks departure though.

I don't have an answer to your question but I really, really hope he does. Like do it ASAP.

He could make a great living as a mannequin in a department store after wrestling.

Well he recently signed a 10 year contract so I guess he plans to stick around for a while.

Very true. Thats probably holding right now but I actually see him retiring early as well. I would have disagreed since he is a generation superstar but so was the Rock. Honestly i don't want him to retire early but i could see him retire around at 36-37.

He already said he doesn't want to be 40 years old and still be wrestling, so that already sets the timeset.

On another note. Randy Orton hasn't done everything unlike The Rock. Orton still has to be a profitable (and decent for that matter) babyface

The Rock had personality that could lead him to the movies.

Orton has personality that could lead him to the silent role of an Abercrombie & Fitch model.

But the earlier you get out the better. Might end up like Hogan and Flair where their familes leave them and they have to depend on the paycheque after every "one more match" and overpriced autograph sessions.

I guess even regardless of his contract, he could just completely lose the passion to compete. Obviously all we can do is speculate, but if he doesn't feel the need, there's no real reason for him to stick around. He'd have a truckload of money, so he's be able to retire, and not put anymore risk to his body.

I've thought about this before, if he does stick around for life he could get like 20 world titles. Think about it, he is a 6 time world champ now and I think he got them in a 5-6 year time frame (probably miles away there but oh well) and atleast 2 maybe 3 of those were before he actually was at his prime which I think could last up to 6-7 years but he would still get titles after that anyway, take a look at Taker.

It's hard to believe that they used to have the same title holder for 3 or 4 straight years.

Good call on his possible world title reigns. The amount of title changes these days he could be a 30 time world champ.
