I heard that the mayor of LA basically said that he wasn’t planning on holding any live sporting events with crowds until 2021. Might be a nail biter as to whether or not it will be live. I’d say we’ll most likely have a vaccine by WM time though.

But, that certainly will make tickets more expensive if it is.

Tomorrow we find out whether our lockdown is lifted. If it does, we'll still have major restrictions, but it's a trend in the right direction.

We have 12 deaths, and all of them are people over the age of 70.

Today we had only 9 new cases, the second day that we've had under 10 new.

You're 100% right, I was thinking the same thing.

Like, you want the country to be opened up, but you can't even put in the work to stop the spread. Like stfu, nobody is taking away any of your rights. If anything THOSE people are the ones taking away other people's rights to be safe and healthy.

What I don't really understand is that even though his advisors have told him that testing as many people as possible is the key to reopening the country, Trump doesn't want the federal government to provide any tests.

Like, it just seems like a dumbass thing. You want to reopen the country, but you don't want to make rapid testing available to do so. If anything, he should be wanting to test MORE than what is needed so they can determine who should be forced to stay home and who can go to work.

America never disappoints

No shade on anyone that's annoyed or frustrated or whatever by all the closures but at least be smart enough to know that LARGE GATHERINGS OF PROTESTS are not going to help the country reopen because of an infectious virus, like shit I want this shit back to normal as quick as possible but I also think reopening too early would make it last longer in the long run. It's a fine line because I do think everything needs to be reopened as quickly as possible as well so I don't envy anyone making those actually decisions.

We have a governor in Kansas that I trust pretty well to listen to medical professionals. If she feels it’s safe to lift the stay at home order (which is supposed to take place May 3), then I trust her judgement.

But I feel like it’s inevitable that without a good treatment or vaccine we’re gonna see it rebound and we’ll be back where we started.

Back during the Spanish Flu, protesters succeeded in making states re-open public parks and what not as the disease was dying out...

Which then caused the disease to spike again and kill even more people than the initial pandemic did.
