The cover of the May issue of Nintendo Power reveals a sequel to the futuristic first-person shooter, The Conduit, is in development for the Wii.

While IGN has yet to receive its copy to confirm exact details, it appears SEGA will again be publishing the title. Conduit 2 is also said to feature a 4-player split screen competitive mode.

The first title sold modestly, shipping 150,000 units worldwide during its launch week. High Voltage Software CEO Kerry Ganofsky told IGN

High Voltage Software is also working on another title, The Grinder, a multiplatform game due out late next year. The Grinder was originally a Wii exclusive title before it was revealed it would also be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. in February the game has gone on to sell over 350,000 copies since then.

Pretty surprised they're making a sequel.

It was a very solid game on the Wii which has some nice FPSs. It was no Metroid Prime but the graphics were nice, the movement mechanics were good and it was just a solid title. Hopefully with the MotionPlus, it can get over the hump into elite status. And I usually hate FPSs, but on the wii they're more fun to me. Can't stand COD or Halo, I'm more of a 3rd person shooter, Gears of War, FTW!
