I know that, but the drink he was trying to cover it with. Didn't really make any sense. :Hmm:

Some people drink sea water. Fish.
Also women.

No, he's a face. What heels does he now side with? He constantly feuds with JBL on the commentary booth and as you have mentioned he ass licks Jerry. He even goes up against Miz, his previous BMFL.

There have been occasions as of late where he has gone for the heels and also if he was a complete face he wouldn't give compliments to heels as most faces completely do. I'm watching him compliment Cesaro after beating up Sgt. Slaughter. He called him a "great champion", but "his actions were not of one". IMO it feels more like a half and half thing. I'm sure I could find one where he went for the heels, specifically Prime Time Players, but that requires too much work.

JR when he was super babyface said the same. You can compliment the achievements of a heel but call in to question their integrity, that's called putting a heel over dude. For example, it would have been silly for the face commentator to say during Mark Henry's hall of pain that he's a "coward" and to start bad-mouthing his talent, you just say he's a mean dude but he's super strong etc.

I agree with you on that. It's just unfamiliar to me at times because I hardly got to see Lawler do it as much as Cole does. Lawler would often completely dismiss anything a heel did and attack them for the actions. I had forgotten about JR :haha:

Just giving Lawler sympathy laughs because of his heart attack. Kind of the equivalent of crying crocodile tears. And as mentioned, he is a face now. Giving heels compliments is just fine for a face to do, so long as they're not praising them as some great guy or anything in light of any bad shit they might have done. JR used to praise Triple H all the time as being one of the greats, although Triple H attacked him once and he would make sure to call him 'a no good bastard' any chance he got.

Wasn't it also reported several months ago that Vince wanted the commentators to fake laughter and make noises (like they were holding back laughter) whenever a comedy segment was happening in the ring? This reminds me of that. It's probably Vince in a headset telling Cole to laugh really hard at anything Lawler says.
