Tbf I don't think that's been officially confirmed either. I believe Meltzer just said all indications point to the previously confirmed S2 no longer happening. But yeah if he's really gone then def no S2 lol

Maybe Cody is doing the work without anyone else knowing as it helps keep it from leaking if he tells no one. So he’s talking to WWE, seeing how much they are willing to give him to come back…. Then he sticks it to them by going back to AEW. He went and fucked with WWE, and now he hopes the fans cheer for him!!They cheer whole he talks about how much WWE offered and how much they bent over for him. But then his very next match they are booing him again

Could be so, but honestly, once it’s done it’s done and easier to think about doing. If it was him coming up with it originally I’d agree. But since it would be him doing an idea already done, he might be smart enough

Yeah, I'm not saying he isn't smart enough. I was saying, he wasn't Pillman, who was brilliant. I had to stop myself because I was about to go into my "Pillman Mark" mode and ramble how much more of an impact he would have made if he didn't pass. Dude is in my top 5 favs.

Back on topic, this is something that has gotten me interested in wrestling again. There has been so much speculation about what may be going down.

One such theory is that WWE promised him something huge, as in taking over NXT. Disclaimer: I know it's not very likely. However, that would be the ultimate Fuck You to Triple H if that happened. Dude takes shots at him repeatedly and the. Takes his job too. Maybe there is something to Nick Khan and The Rock being tight, so they're squashing HHH for being an ass to The Rock when he came into wrestling.

I think Cody just didn't get his way in AEW, leading to his departure. Now, he could go wrestle in all the indies again, but I feel he wants to stay in the mainstream eye so WWE is his only other legit option. Plus I'm sure there are a couple matches there he wants and he can check off a WWE return where he's treated as the star he thought he was in his first run off his bucket list. I'd be very surprised if it's anything more substantial than that.

I think it’s also a possibility that’s he’s coming back on a part timer contract so he can be a dad and work on his other ventures as well as wrestle some high end angles. Maybe he devoted so much time to AEW and it’s launch that he got kinda burnt out of being a wrestling suit.

Kayfabe wise since it will never get to this extent like it did with Cody but I can totally see something like this being done with MJF if he's still doing the contract talking and WWE stuff on Twitter in a few years time.
