The year was 1997, WCW was in the midst of their dominance of the WWE in the ratings war. The NWO was still the hottest thing in wrestling, everybody was wondering where Sting was and Goldberg and DDP was becoming major stars. What happens next?

This is the timeline of what happens before the start of the BTB which will be the 1998 Royal Rumble.

September

On September 20, 1997, WWE found part of their answer to the ratings war when "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and Triple H along with a muscular female named Chyna formed a faction called "Degeneration X". This group pushed the censored limits with their skits and language. They quickly got on the nerves of the WWE World Champion, Bret "The Hitman"Hart who along with the other members of the "Hart Family" confronted D-X on the September 28th episode of RAW. During the confrontation, the Hart Family was attacked from behind by the newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Age Outlaws as they become the newest member of D-X. The results of the attack saw Brian Pillman injuring once again his ankle and taken out of action. The feud keeps going on hot and heavy through the month of October with Jim Neidhardt joining the Hart's replacing Pillman.

October

Meanwhile in WCW on the October 13th episode of Nitro in Philadelphia, WCW is interrupted by ECW owner Paul Heyman, ECW World Champion Shane Douglas and other ECW stars as they somehow obtain front row seats to the show. The spectators get into verbal arguments with past ECW stars like Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko before being escorted out by security. When Paul Heyman was asked for comment by wrestling journalists about the incident, he states "Nobody comes into ECW's backyard without ECW doing something about it". ECW gets more popular with fans after the incident then ever before.

In the WCW World Title hunt, Hogan is challenged by past rival Rowdy Roddy Piper and put in a match against him at Halloween Havoc on October 26. Piper had Hollywood Hogan beat in the middle of the ring using the sleeper hold when Kevin Nash interfered. As the two beat down Roddy Piper exposing his surgically repaired hip, a crow-face painted Sting repels from the ceiling with a baseball bat in hand. He chases off Hollywood Hogan and the NWO as the line has been drawn between the two.

November

The feud of D-X and the Hart Family has boiled over to Survivor Series where Bret Hart will defend the title against HBK in the main event. At the end of the match, Vince McMahon comes down to ringside and ends the match as Shawn Michaels locks in the Sharpshooter on Bret Hart without Hart tapping out. The crowd about riots when HBK is declared the winner. On the next night's RAW Commisioner Sgt. Slaughter strips HBK of the World Title citing that Hart never tapped out. Hart quickly demands the title back but Slaughter rules the title vacated.

In WCW tension between Sting and Hogan escalate as Sting repeatedly shows up and confronts Hogan without saying a word but Hogan refuses to wrestle Sting saying that he hasn't earned a title shot because he has been actively wrestling. At the November 23rd, World War 3 pay per view, Sting shows up and wins the 3 ring, 60 man battle royal after eliminating NWO members Scott Hall and Kevin Nash at the end, securing his shot at Hogan. Sting challenges Hogan for a match at Starrcade.

December

WWE Commisioner Sgt. Slaughter sets up a re-match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels on the November 24th episode of RAW for the vacated WWE World Title. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart is interrupted by interference by "The Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman. Pillman cites the reason for his actions as that D-X injured him and then the Hart Family replaced him while he was injured. He vows that he is his own man and will never again answer to anybody. On the next week's show on November 31st a fed up Bret "The Hitman" Hart walks out of RAW and the WWE for good based on the last 3 months of mayhem. Sgt. Slaughter then declares that the winner of the upcoming Royal Rumble will be crowned WWE World Champion.

On the December 7th, D-X "In Your House" pay per view, Shawn Michaels wrestled upstart "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for Royal Rumble positioning. After interference by Triple H, HBK hits Sweet Chin Music and secures the key 30th position while Austin with the lost is banished to the dismal number 1 slot. On the next night's RAW episode in Philadelphia it is WWE's turn to be confronted by ECW as Heyman and his band of stars confront Mankind and Steve Austin during the night before being escorted out by security. The legend of ECW continues. D-X, with everything in their favor, continues to rule WWE and the stars with their antics leading up to the Royal Rumble.

At Starrcade on December 28th, Hogan loses his World Title to Sting after the referee is knocked out and the debuting Bret Hart declares Sting the winner after Hogan taps out.

January

At a special Thursday night Nitro on January 8th , WCW Commisioner JJ Dillon vacates the WCW World Title citing Bret Hart wasn't a WCW sanctioned referee. He declares, he will decide the situation in the upcoming weeks. An angry Hollywood Hogan at the next week's Nitro calls all members of the NWO to the ring at the beginning of the show and fires all members but the Outsiders, Syxx and Eric Bischoff. The four stars then beatdown all the fired members as a show to all that they are still in control of WCW.

What direction will WCW and WWE take as they crown new World Champions?

Can D-X keep up their dominance of the WWE?

What will happen as the NWO rebounds after Hollywood Hogan's actions?

Will Goldberg, Stone Cold and Rocky Maivia become the stars they are today?

Does ECW have what it takes to become a true major force in wrestling?

The answers to these question and much more will be answered as CMS and Laurinaitis.....

The Royal Rumble Match
Winner becomes the new WWF Champion

Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Rock, Jeff Jarret, Ken Shamrock, Owen Hart, Marc Mero, Kurrgan, Blackjack Bradshaw, Hawk, Animal, The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust, Cactus Jack, Chainsaw Charlie, Savio Vega, Vader, Farooq, Kama Mustafa, D'lo Brown, Steve Blackman, Mark Henry, Trasher, Mankind, Chainz, Dude Love, Farooq, 8-Ball, Mosh, secret entrant.

Since November the WWF has been without a champion, following the event now nown as The Montreal Screwjob. However, at The Royal Rumble, and in the Royal Rumble match, we will finally have a new champion. We know, thanks to the HBK vs Stone Cold match at In your House: D-Generation X, that Stone Cold will be the 1st entrant and HBK the coveted 30th entrant, but that's practically all we know. Will DX members stick together to secure a victory? Or will Nation of Domination beat them in that mission? Will Mick Foley really wrestle 3 times? Who will be the secret entrant?

Triple H w/Chyna vs Stone Cold Steve Austin

Not only will Stone Cold be the first man to enter the Royal Rumble match, but he will also have to compete in a one on one match before. At In Your House: D-Generation X, Stone Cold battled HBK in a match that would determine he positioning for the Rumble match. Austin had the match wonn, earning the 30th entrant slot, however HBK's DX partners HHH and Chyna interfered giving HBK the win and dooming Austin to bad luck on this evening. Now, in this match, Stone Cold will get the chance to release his agression on Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Will he be able to do so? Or will the interference of DX be to much to handle once again?

Intercontinental Championship Match
The Rock(c) vs Ahmed Johnson

Third generation superstar The Rock Rocky Maivia has found a lot of success since joining the ranks of The Nation of Domination. This tandem secured The Rock recuperating the IC Championship. However, a new star has rose in the WWF, one that could very well soon enough rival the success of The Rock himself, and that is Ahmed Johnson. For years he has been on the shelf of main event status, and on this night it could be when he takes that final step. Ahmed, once a member of the Nation, saw how his so called friends turned on him after an injury. Ahmed Johnson has been battling them in revenge since then, and on this night, after becoming Number One Contender, his road of revenge might come to an end when he battles The Rock for his belt.

Non Title Match
WWF Lightheavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku vs Scott Taylor

Taka Michinoku at In Your House:D-Generation X, finally became the first ever WWF Light heavyweight Champion when he defeated Brian Christopher on the finals for the tournament of this belt, until then vacant. Brian Christopher would demand a rematch on Raw, the night after that, only to get defeated my Michinoku once again. Next week, a Battle Royal was held between all the other competitors of the tournament, with the winner earning a showcase match against the champion at the Royal Rumble. Scott Taylor last eliminated Aguila in the Battle Royal to earn this right. Will Taka continue his dominance over this division? Or will Scott Taylor beat the champ and prove he is worthy of a title match?

WWF Tag Team Championship
New Age Outlaws(c) vs The Undertaker and Kane

Undertaker and Kane didn't exactly kick off with the right foot here in the WWF, with things getting even worse when Kane actually made his debut and cost Taker a title match at In Your Hose: Bad Blood in a Hell in a Cell match against Shawn Michaels. Kane since then destroyed everyone in sight, everyone on his path demanding competition against Taker, however The Undertaker has refused this match as he doesnt want to battle his own blood. But blood showed that it is thicker than water, as when The Undertaker claimed he was coming for Shawn Michaelsin revenge for what happened inside Hell in a Cell, and the New Age Outlaws, members of DX, came down to attack him, Kane would reappear, only this time to make the save, surprisingly helping The Undertaker. Is the hatchet truly buried though? Will this two brothers be able to co-exist in their challenge for the Tag Titles?

"The Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman vs Owen Hart

It has been a slow recovery for Brian Pillman. Since day one here in the WWF he has been sidelined by an ankle injury. Finally, after a long, long recovery, he returned to action and he joined the ranks of the Hart Foundation. The Foundation would battle with DX over the dominance in the WWF. In wars, soldiers go down, and this time it was Brian Pillman who went down, reinjuring his ankle in a DX attack. Again, he recovered and returned, only to find out he was already been replaced by Jim Neidhart. Brian Pillman claimed then he was his own man now, but first he has to clean his past. By that he meant he was challenging the Hart Foundation. The Foundation leader's, Bret Hart, was already out of the company, so it was time for a younger Hart to step up to the challenge: Owen Hart. Will the Loose Cannon indeed release himself from his past, or will Owen Hart defend the honor of the estinguising Hart Foundation and score the win?

You guys really have picked an awesome time to do this. You've got a lot of talent, and of course, Shawn Michaels will get a nice long title run. Here's my predicitions:

The Royal Rumble Match
Winner becomes the new WWF Champion
Shawn Michaels

HBK was the biggest star in this time, and I think you're saving Austin's big moment for later down the track. Or perhaps a swerve and giving Owen Hart a well deserved championship run?

Triple H w/Chyna vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
Triple H really isn't on Austin's level imo, and Stone Cold needs momentum going into the Rumble.

Intercontinental Championship Match
The Rock(c) vs Ahmed Johnson
C'mon, who would take the title of the Great One to give it to Ahmed Johnson?

Non Title Match
WWF Lightheavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku vs Scott Taylor
I've never seen either man compete, but I think it's too early to have your champion get beaten, he needs to built up credibly so the belt has some prestige.

WWF Tag Team Championship
New Age Outlaws(c) vs The Undertaker and Kane
Very interesting match-up. I really see this going either way, but my gut tells me Taker and Kane. Either that or they implode and feud with each other again.

"The Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman vs Owen Hart
This is going to be an awesome match, I can tell. Owen will win by cheating to continue this feud.

The Royal Rumble Match
Winner becomes the new WWF Champion
Secret Entrant
I say it will be Shawn Michaels as well but I have a feeling with this great match anything cna happen and we will all be shocked. But then again the secret entrant is there and there is a reason you have him secret so my money is on it.

Triple H w/Chyna vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
Intercontinental Championship Match
I say Triple H, with Chyna cheating to help him win this will lead to a gimmick match at mania.

The Rock(c) vs Ahmed Johnson
Non Title Match
The Rock will win this for sure.

WWF Lightheavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku vs Scott Taylor
WWF Tag Team Championship

New Age Outlaws(c) vs The Undertaker and Kane

"The Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman vs Owen Hart

For ten years, men have fought in one match that separates boys from men. A match that tests physical and mental limits. A match that pits wrestlers to their deepest fears, brings them face to face and forces them to banish them.

The Royal Rumble match.

Tonight, the tradition continues. 30 men will fight for glory, power, and gold.

We see the WWF Championship.

30 the called, 1 the chosen. Who will be the man able to step up the rest and claim his deserved spot in history? Who will be the 1998 Royal Rumble Winner? Who will be the new WWF Champion?

HBK: I will.

Vader: I will.

Rocky Maivia: I will.

The camera separates in three, each one showing respectively Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack.

All three of them at the same time: I will.

Faarooq: I will.

Stone Cold: I will…and that’s the bottom line ‘cause Stone Cold said so!

And now, World Wrestling Federation presents, the 11th Annual Royal Rumble!

JR: From deep on Californian lands on the magnificent San Jose Arena, we welcome you to 11th annual Royal Rumble

King: My God JR, can you feel it? We are actually deciding our Wrestlemania main event right here tonight.

JR: Oh it’s huge King, it truly is no doubt about that.

King: It’s more than big, it’s enormous, it’s monumental! For the first time since Survivor Series, we are actually going to have a World Federation Champion!

JR: And that’s just the icing of the cake on this amazing night.

Finkel: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following is scheduled for one fall, with no time limit.

“Break it Down†plays to a big amount of boos from the audience as Triple H makes his way out, being followed up closely by Chyna. Triple H mocks some fans at ringside before he finally enters the ring. Hunter climbs to the corner where he looks around and performs his DX taunt to the crowd.

Finkel: Introducing first, from Greenwich, Connecticut, being accompanied by Chyna, representing D-Generation X, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Triple H!

King: One half of the most dominant stables in WWF history, and now he’s here to make a statement of his own.

JR: Oh come on, like screwing Stone Cold wasn’t one already. That man right there along with that Jezebel are playing with fire, and my God, they are going to get burned!

“Hell Frozen Over†plays to a massive ovation from the crowd as Stone Cold Steve Austin comes rampaging down the ramp, powerwalking into the ring. Austin climbs to all the corners where he sticks out his middle finger taunting to the crowd.

Finkel: And his opponent, from Victoria Texas, Stone Cold Steve Austin!

JR: I am telling you, Triple H and Chyna better have one hell of a plan if they plan on defeating that rattlesnake here tonight.

King: They are DX JR, of course they have. And I am telling you, Austin will end up sucking it by the time this night is over.

JR: This might very well be the case, remember folks, Austin is also a part of the Royal Rumble match later on tonight.

King: And he’s entering Number One, JR, don’t forget about that.

Triple H w/Chyna vs Stone Cold

Hunter and Stone Cold look at each other from opposite ends of the ring. They finally storm toward one another and enter in a collar elbow tie up, comparing their strengths. Triple H is the one who gets the advantage and he locks his opponent in a side headlock. He tries to drain the energy out of the rattlesnake, tightening more and more the grip on the headlock, however Austin is able to counter as he walks toward the ring ropes behind of him and bounces Triple H out of the maneuver. Hunter crosses the ring going to the opposite set of ring ropes. Triple H bounces back and he walks right into a Lou Thesz Press by Austin, which knocks Triple H down to the canvas. The crowd pop as Hunter gets mauled by the rattlesnake, who lands straight right after straight right hand directly to the face of his opponent. Stone Cold continues looking for big maneuvers, trying to end the maneuver as he dashes to the ring ropes behind him, bounces back and nails his forearm drop directly to the face of Triple H, preceded by his classic taunting, multiply showing his middle finger to the crowd. Stone Cold makes the cover: 1…2…, Triple H is able to kick out. Austin wastes no time and he gets back to his feet and steps back, letting Triple H get up to his feet. The degenerate pulls himself back up to his feet and walks right into to Stone Cold, who kicks him right in the middle section and then attempts the Stunner, however Triple H is able to avoid right on the last minute as he pushes Austin away. Stone Cold tries to turn around quickly to continue his offense on Triple H, however Triple H wants nothing else to do with Austin, and so he quickly runs away from the ring sliding to the outside of the ring. Triple H walks toward Chyna and hides behind her, taking a break and a deep breath. Austin doesn’t take that shit and he quickly slides to the outside of the ring as well going in pursuit of Triple H. Triple H quickly notices this and so he leaves his safe position and starts running away from Stone Cold around the ring. Austin starts running as well, however he stops suddenly as he finds face to face with the imposing figure of Chyna. Austin laughs at Chyna and continues running in pursuit of his opponent. Triple H finds himself with no other place to go and so he slides right back to the inside of the ring.

Stone Cold follows him closely and slides as well to the inside of the ring, however Triple H has the leverage in this situation and he receives Austin with a double axe handle directly to the back, keeping him floored. Triple H grabs Austin by the arm and drags him to the middle the ring, where he makes the cover: 1…2…, Austin gets one shoulder up keeping the match going. Triple H shows then his relentless side as he gets down to one knee over Austin and starts repeatedly punching him on the face. The referee has to intervene and he starts a count that could end in disqualification for Hunter, as closed fist punches are illegal. Helmsley however doesn’t stop his attack until the referee’s count reaches 4, when he finally stops punching the rattlesnake and gets back to his feet. The referee pulls Triple H aside and verbally grounds him for not following directions, however all he gets from Triple H is the classic DX taunt, a crutch chop. Triple H remains on the corner and there he measures Austin. He finally storms toward the rattlesnake and channels Harley Race connecting a jumping knee right to the forehead. Triple H makes the cover: 1…2…, Austin is able to kick out as well. Triple H gets back to his feet and he remains next to the still floored Austin. A fan yells “You suck, big noseâ€, insult which gets the attention of Triple H. Triple H immediately directs his attention to the fan and starts verbally addressing him, losing focus from the match. All of this allows Stone Cold to recover and get back to his sense, and even get back to the control of this contest as he grabs the legs of Triple H and takes him down to the canvas. Stone Cold recovers his vertical standing and grabs again the legs of Triple H, opens the compass and to the awe of the crowd he mercilessly stomps Triple H right on the lower abs, bordering the belt line. Triple H takes his hands to that area, rolling around the canvas with an expression of pain on his face. Austin isn’t through though and he grabs the legs of Triple H, opens the compass and repeats the punishment. The face of Chyna on the outside of the ring tells a story. Austin puts the boots over Triple H then, stomping all over him, and each stomp getting faster and stronger than the previous, until he finally ends his flurry with an forearm drop right to the face. Surprisingly, Stone Cold doesn’t make the cover, and instead he picks Triple H by the hair, pulls him back to his feet and launches him over the top rope and to the outside of the ring.

Austin follows Triple H to the outside. Hunter seems him coming and he tries to crawl away from him, however Helmsley is not able to escape his opponent as Austin grabs his tights. Stone Cold picks his opponent and guides him back to his feet. Stone Cold then nails a big straight right hand to the head of his opponent. Stone Cold grabs him then by the back of the head and throws him toward the guard rail. Chyna takes a few steps towards them, however the referee stops her. Austin picks up Triple H and Irish Whips him toward the ring post, then, before Hunter collapses to the ground, Austin picks him and throws him to the inside of the ring. Stone Cold continues trying to end this match fast and makes the cover: 1…2…, Triple H gets one shoulder up. Stone Cold picks Triple H back to his feet pulling him again by the hair. Now having his opponent standing, Stone Cold starts unloading straight right hands directly to the head of his opponent, weakening more and more Triple H. Austin dashes to the ring ropes behind him, however when he goes to bounce back Triple H snaps back to his senses and he dashes toward him and tries to receive him with a high knee to the head, vintage Triple H. However Stone Cold is able to avoid it as he sidesteps, letting Triple H pass by, hit his knee against the top rope and then roll over it landing on the outside of the ring. Chyna moves again and she moves toward Triple H, picks him back to his feet, and throws him right back to the inside of the ring. Austin looks at Chyna with a grin on his face and mockingly he thanks Chyna. Stone Cold picks Triple H and again, showing his desire to end the match fast, he kicks Triple H in the gut and goes to hit the Stunner, however Hunter Hearst Helmsley avoids it once again pushing Stone Cold away. Austin turns around and dashes right back toward his opponent, but Triple H reacts first and locks him in an sleeper, slowing the pace of the match and playing with the desperation factor of Austin and his desire to end the match quickly saving energies for the Royal Rumble. Triple H tries to end the match right there, applying more and more pressure to the headlock, however Stone Cold finds quickly his way out, as he hoists Hunter up in the hair and drops him connecting a side slam suplex, getting out of the headlock. Both men get back to their feet. Hunter storms toward the rattlesnake, who receives him with a clothesline that knocks him down to the canvas.

Triple H gets back to his feet, but he walks right into yet another clothesline. Stone Cold waits for Triple H to start recovering. Hunter does so and Austin dashes to the ring ropes behind him, bounces back and nails the recently incorporated Triple H with a running clothesline. Stone Cold picks Triple H, guides him to a standing position and sets him, connecting Triple H then with a spinning neckbreaker. Stone Cold makes the cover again, hoping to get finally the win: 1…2…, Triple H gets back to his senses and gets one shoulder up. Austin seems a little frustrated about this. He grabs Hunter by the head and starts guiding him up to his feet, however he notices that Chyna has climbed to the apron. Stone Cold lets Triple H go and walks toward the Chyna. However she isn’t able to reach to her as the referee steps into the way, sends Stone Cold into retreat and he goes to handle the situation. The referee verbally grounds Chyna and tells her to climb down of the apron. But this is all a charade, a smokescreen that serves as distraction letting Triple H to cheap shot Stone Cold nailing a low blow on the rattlesnake, bringing him down to his knees. Seeing this, Chyna climbs down to the apron. Triple H grabs Stone Cold and sets him up for the Pedigree. The referee turns around redirecting his attention to the match competitors. Triple H is just about to connect the Pedigree, however out of nowhere Austin is able to counter out of the maneuver as he takes down Triple H by the legs to the canvas. Stone Cold secures Hunter Hearst Helmsley’s legs and then he catapults him directly into the turnbuckle. Triple H crashes against it head first and staggers back groggy. Stone Cold gets back to his feet behind of him, and when finally Triple H turns around, Stone Cold nails him with a clothesline that hurls him back toward the corner. Hunter’s back hits against the turnbuckles and collapses down to the canvas, sitting against the corner. The crowd pops as they realize in which position Triple H ended. Stone Cold walks toward him and starts viciously nailing stomps to the body of the floored Triple H, kicking all over the humanity of his opponent, stomping the proverbial mudhole on Hunter Hearst Helmsley.

The referee finally is forced to intervene in the situation and he takes Stone Cold away from Triple H. The referee keeps Stone Cold away from Hunter for a while, letting Triple H get himself together and recover. He uses then the top rope to pull himself back to his feet and showing he wants a piece of Stone Cold badly now as well, he storms toward him. But Stone Cold reacts first and he receives him with a big straight hand. Stone Cold continues his flurry of offense connecting punch after punch. Austin grabs Triple H by the arm and Irish Whips him toward the ropes. Triple H bounces back, however Stone Cold bends down a little too early, letting Triple H to connect his face knee smasher. Triple H takes advantage of this situation and of this momentum and he quickly sets up the rattlesnake for the Pedigree and connects it. Triple H makes the cover: 1…2…, Stone Cold somehow is able to get one shoulder up keeping the match going. Hunter Hearst Helmsley cannot believe it. He looks up to the referee and argues with him, pleading for a slow count. Chyna finally has seen enough and she climbs to the apron back again, looking to create another distraction for Triple H to take advantage off. Triple H turns around and walks away from the referee as the official walks instead toward Chyna, telling her to get down of the apron. However, this time the one who capitalizes is Stone Cold, getting back at Triple H hitting him with a low blow. Chyna notices her mistake and she climbs down to the apron. Triple H turns around grabbing his gonads and walks right into the Stone Cold Stunner. Austin makes the cover: 1…2…3.

Result: Stone Cold defeats Triple H

JR: He did it! Bah Gawd! Stone Cold did it!

King: You’re happy, aren’t you JR? But don’t forget that he is still entering the Royal Rumble first.

JR: But I know the rattlesnake, and bah gawd I know he’s not going to quit

Chyna stares at the celebrating Stone Cold. Austin notices her and invites her to enter the ring as well. Chyna advances as if she was going to enter the ring, but Triple H pulls her from behind, stopping her and pulling her backwards. Finally DX backs down up the ramp.

We go backstage and we see Dok Hendrix.

Dok: Amazing night here in the Royal Rumble, we just witness Stone Cold overcome the odds and defeat DX member Triple H, and right now I stand next to his DX partner, no other than the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels.

Crowd boos

Dok: Shawn, we just saw your partner Triple H loose to Stone Cold Steve Austin. Does that increase Austin’s chances going into the Royal Rumble?

HBK: And you’re asking me that because…? Do I look like a wrestling critic or analyst?

Dok: No I just…

HBK: I’m messing with you Dok, I’m messing with you. No, Austin’s chances didn’t improve. Yeah he might have gotten the pin, but he didn’t win that match. How long did he take him to get the win? How much energy did he use? Now Dok, don’t look me like that, ‘cause I know you don’t know, but don’t worry, the Heart Break Kid will tell you. More than the needed. Austin enters the Royal Rumble first, first Dox, first. If he was rested, I would guess he would last ten minutes, but now, I’d be surprised if he outlasts the second entry.

Crowd boos.

HBK: Stone Cold Steve Austin has no chance of winning that match. But then again, nobody in that match has a chance, either than The Icon, the Showstopper, The Main Event. Why you might ask? Because I have something neither of those 29 other participants, including whoever might be the secret entrant has. Do you know what that is Dok?

Dok: No, I don’t.

HBK: Of course you don’t. I have actual God given talent. And that’s why, when it is all set and done, the winner of the match, and finally the new WWF Champion, will be your truly Shawn Michaels.

Crowd boos.

HBK: And if you’re not down with that, I have two words for ya…

Shawn Michaels walks away from the scene leaving Dok Hendrix behind.

We return and we see Scott Taylor jogging inside the ring with his music playing on the back.

Finkel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with no time limit. Inside the ring, from Westbrook, Maine; Scott Taylor!

JR: And we promise you that the next match will feature some of the most fast pace, exciting action you have ever seen.

King: You love this light heavyweights don’t you JR?

JR: As a matter of fact I do.

King: Well, I’ll tell you right now, both Scott Taylor and Taka might be impressive, but they are no Brian Christopher.

“Japan First†plays to a mild reception of cheers from the audience as Taka Michinoku makes his way out, with the WWF Light-Heavyweight belt wrapped around his waist.

Finkel: And his opponent, from Japan, the WWF Light-Heavyweight Champion, Taka Michinoku!

JR: And there he is, the man on the light-heavyweight division.

King: Actually, it…

JR: Yeah, we all know, Brian Christopher.

Non Title Match
Taka Michinoku vs Scott Taylor

Taka and Scott Taylor walk toward one another and they shake each other’s hand in the middle of the ring, showing sportsmanship. Both man jog backwards to opposite ends of the ring and start circling each other, looking for a spot. Taka is the first to try to mount offense as he storms toward Taylor, only to get hoisted by an arm drag. Both men get back to their feet and immediately Taka dashes toward his opponent, getting the same result, arm dragged back to the canvas. Taka gets back to his feet and for the third time he dashes toward his opponent. Scott Taylor reacts first once again, but this time instead of an arm drag he attempts a hip toss, however Taka Michinoku, showing his own ability, counters the maneuver and reverses it into a monkey toss, hurling Scott Taylor away. However Taylor shows his athleticism, as he lands right back over his two feet, in a standing position. Taylor turns around and storms toward his opponent, but in an ironic twist of events, Taka receives him with an arm drag. Both get back to their feet and once again, as Scott dashes toward Taka receives with an arm drag. Taka this time doesn’t release the arm of his opponent and tries to lock in an standing armbar, however Scott Taylor finds quickly his way out of the maneuver as he rolls over his head, then lifts his legs, wraps it around the head of the light-heavyweight champion and leg scissors him away. Taka and Scott both get back to their feet. Taka rushes in towards his opponent, however Taylor reacts first and he drop toeholds him down to the canvas. Scott jumps right back to his feet and performs a moonsault landing right over the spine of Taka. Taylor makes the cover: 1…2…, Taka gets one shoulder up. Taylor immediately gets back to his feet and he walks toward the corner, climbing to the top rope, and there he waits for his opponent to get back to his feet. Taka gets right back to a standing position and Scott flies through the air attempting a Missile Dropkick, however Taka Michinoku gets the same countering idea as he jumps and tries as well to perform a dropkick. Both dropkicks meet in the air neutralizing each other and making both men collapse backwards, with Taylor suffering the biggest damage as he was coming from the top rope. Taka crawls away from Scott Taylor as both men try to get back to their feet. Finally both recover their standing positions, Scott Taylor shockingly first, however he is still groggy and he does so laid against the ring ropes.

Taka recovers and notices the position in which his opponent is. Taka Michinoku immediately sprints across the ring and nails his opponent with a crossbody plancha sending both his opponent and himself to the outside of the ring. The crowd roars in excitement at this match. Taka fin ally recovers and get back to his feet, only to slide right back to the inside of the ring, where as if measuring something, he waits for Scott Taylor to get back to his feet. Taylor finally does so and immediately Taka turns around, crosses the ring dashing toward the ring ropes, bounces back, crosses the ring one more time and then jumps over all the ring ropes performing a running no handed over the top rope plancha, connecting completely Scott Taylor. The crowd once again cheers at the action they are watching. Taka slowly gets back to his feet, and once he completely gets up to his feet, he picks Scott Taylor and throws him to the inside of the ring. Taka slides following him and makes the cover: 1…2…, Scott gets one shoulder up. Taka seems a little angry at Scott kicking out, and so he starts unleashing his frustration with a series of stomps all over the humanity of his opponent. He ends this flurry of stomps with a double foot stomp right on the face of his opponent. Taka then walks toward the ring ropes and holding the top rope, turning his back to the inside of the ring he waits for his opponent to get back to his feet. Grabbing his face in pain, slowly Scott Taylor gets back to his feet. Taka notices this and he pulls himself up in the air using the top rope, then springboards and flies toward Scott Taylor, however out of nowhere Scott Taylor is able to counter as he receives his opponent with an arm drag hurling Taka away. Taka’s face reflects his shock. He gets back to his feet and storms toward Scott, however Taylor avoids him as he leap frogs over him. Taka passes by, bounces to the ring ropes and goes right back Scott, who once again lets him pass by leaping over him. Taka crosses the ring again and bounces back yet again, only to this time get connected with a dropkick right to the face. Scott makes the cover: 1…2…, Taka gets one shoulder up. Scott doesn’t follow up and instead he walks toward the ring ropes, and just like Taka did, he starts taunting his opponent waiting for him to get back to his feet. Taka slowly starts shaking off the cobwebs and getting back to his feet.

The champion finally recovers his standing position, and immediately springboards, he being able to connect his maneuver as he connects his opponent with a Springboard Tornado DDT. However, Scott isn’t over as he dashes to the ropes once again and connects the now floored Taka with a springboard moonsault. Scott makes the cover confident of his victory: 1…2…, Taka keeps the match going as he gets one shoulder up. Taylor this time stays over his opponent as he picks his opponent and guides him to a standing position. He grabs him by the arm and Irish Whips his opponent toward the corner. Taylor walks toward the opposite side of the ring measuring his opponent. He then storms toward the cornered Michinoku looking to attack his opponent; however Taka steps forwards and in excellent timing he hoists Scott Taylor up and drops him head first right into the turnbuckle performing a flapjack. Taylor staggers back from the corner, somehow able to remain standing. Taka climbs quickly top the tope and almost with the same speed as he came up to the top rope he comes down getting Scott Taylor in a picture perfect Hurricanrana. Taylor gets right back to his feet following the maneuver and he storms toward Taka Michinoku, who had gotten up as well, however Taka Michinoku receives him with a shocking leg scissors hurling him across the ring. Both men get back to their feet and Scott, mistake or bravery, once again storms toward Taka Michinoku. Michinoku probably feels that Scott Taylor knows what’s coming next and might already be ready for the leg scissors or Hurricanrana, and so this time he receives him with an Over the Head Belly to Belly Suplex, that is performed with such technique that gets the awe from the crowd. Taka Michinoku gets back to his feet and lifts both his hands taunting to the crowd, getting a good reaction of the audience that respects his daredevil performance. Taka walks toward the corner and he climbs to the top rope. He looks down measuring the floored Scott Taylor and comes down performing a Corkscrew Plancha, however, he finds nobody home, as right on the nick of time Scott Taylor is able to roll out of the way making Taka fail this maneuver. Both men lie next to each other, neither moving. Finally, after a couple of seconds, both men start showing signals of life again, with Taylor recovering his standing position and Taka Michinoku trying to do the same, already up to this forearms and knees.

Scott Taylor measures his opponent and notices in which position his opponent is, and he notices that he has the open to attack. Scott Taylor dashes toward his opponent looking for a dropkick right to the temple of the bended Taka Michinoku, however and right on the nick of time Taka moves backwards avoiding by inches the kick of Scott Taylor, who passes by crashing and burning down to the canvas. Taylor gets back to his feet and so does Taka Michinoku. Taylor tries to outfast Taka, however it is Taka the one who does so as he nails Scott with a step up enziguiri. Taka once again walks toward the corner and climbs to the top rope. He looks down to Scott Taylor and lets himself go, this time connecting effectively his Corkscrew Plancha, landing right on top of his opponent. Taka hooks the leg as the referee makes the count: 1…2…, Scott, to a pop from the audience, somehow gets one shoulder up keeping the match going. Taka seems a little frustrated at not being able to put out his opposition. He gets Scott Taylor back to his feet, sets him up and goes for a suplex, however in mid air Scott Taylor counters out of the hold sliding down of the grasp of his opponent, and landing right behind the champion. Taka Michinoku turns around only to get connected right on the side of the head by a Dragon Kick. Taylor makes the cover: 1…2…, Taka gets one shoulder up keeping the match going. Now it is Taylor the one showing signals of frustration as he angrily lifts his opponent up to a standing position. He sets him, lifting him up in the air and to a pop from the crowd he connect a spinning brainbuster, brutally planting Taka Michinoku head first into the canvas. Taylor seems confident as he makes the cover, hooking both legs of Taka Michinoku: 1…2…, the light-heavyweight champion gets one shoulder up keeping the match going. Taylor however seems to be determined on getting that pinfall and seems to have found his momentum. He guides Taka back to a standing position, steps backwards and then he connects his opponent with a Hurrancanrana. Taylor follows Taka and makes the cover: 1…2…, Michinoku gets one shoulder up again keeping the match going. The crowd nor Scott Taylor can’t believe what they are seeing with their eyes.

Scott taunts to the crowd announcing one more time. He guides Taka back to his feet, steps backwards and looks to connect for the second time his Hurracanrana, however this time Taka Michinoku reacts first, catches his opponent in mid air and reverses the maneuver into a Powerbomb. Taka gets back to his feet grabbing Scott by the hair, and connects him with the Michinoku Driver. He makes the cover: 1…2…3.

Result: Taka Michinoku defeats Scott Taylor.

JR: And that one is for the record books.

King: Nobody kicks out of the Michinoku Driver. On second thoughts, maybe Brian Christopher would be able to do so.

We go backstage and we see Kane, alone in a dark room, with a single, red, dim light illuminating the room right over his head. Kane is giving his back to the camera (and camera man).

Voice: Kane, can you give us some comments about your match for the WWF Tag Team Championships.

Kane slowly turns around and he faces the camera, them methodically he walks closer and closer to the camera, until he finally gets right in front of it. Kane kneels getting his face right in front of the camera’s lens. The camera man removes the camera of that position to shoot the hand of Kane getting closer and closer to him. The camera out of a sudden drops to the floor and the signal ruins and ends as the camera seems to have damaged when fallen.

JR: What did we just see?

King: What the hell was a camera man doing in a room alone with Kane? That’s having a severe death wish!

JR: And one has to wonder how if The Undertaker can still trust somebody as Kane. After all, not so long ago Kane was attacking The Undertaker, and tonight he seems to have gotten back to his old manors of attacking innocent people!

King: Innocent people? You’re talking about the camera man? He’s not innocent, he’s plain stupid.

JR: We’ll have The Undertaker and Kane later on tonight and we will find out of The Undertaker can trust his maniacal brother, but as of right now, it’s time to decide a different championship, it’s time for the Intercontinental Championship match.

Finkel: The following contest is schedule for one fall and it is for the WWF Intercontinental Championship!

Crowd pops.

“Black Superman†plays to a nice reception from the crowd as Ahmed Johnson steps out from the curtain and to the stage. Johnson walks down the ramp and then enters the ring, where he climbs to the corners taunting to the crowd.

Finkel: Introducing first, the challenger, from Pearl River, Mississippi, Ahmed Johnson.

JR: A huge chance by Ahmed Johnson here, to finally win the Intercontinental Championship.

“Domination†plays as Rocky Maivia, with the WWF Intercontinental Championship wrapped around his waist. The Rock looks extremely cocky as he walks down the ramp and enters the ring. There he climbs to the top rope, unhooks his championship and lifts it up high.

Finkel: And his opponent, the WWF Intercontinental Champion, from Miami, Florida; The Rock Rocky Maivia!

JR: What a shock, The Rock came out here without his Nation of Domination buddies.

King: He doesn’t need them. Remember he’s facing Ahmed Johnson . This match relies on the brains as far as I am concern, and seeing that, Ahmed didn’t even have a chance.

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match
Rocky Maivia(c) vs Ahmed Johnson

Rocky Maivia and Ahmed advance toward each other, meeting in the middle of the ring, but instead of trading words, both men start trading right hands, landing vicious punches to one another. The Rock seems to be getting the upperhand, however Johnson turns the tide right back to his favor as he delivers a knee to the middle section. Ahmed starts throwing bombs of his own then, shaking the brains of his opponent. Ahmed Johnson grabs his opponent by the arm, then Irish Whips him toward the ring ropes. Maivia bounces back and gets picked up by Ahmed Johnson, who immediately lifts him up in the air and Military Presses him over his head. Johnson then drops him right down to the canvas. Rocky Maivia grabs his lower back but quickly gets back to his feet. The Rock tries to escape from his opponent, as he starts crawling toward the ring ropes, however Johnson walks toward him and grabs him by the tights, stopping him from escaping. Johnson picks The Rock back to his feet, but before he attacks him The Rock reacts first and pokes Ahmed right on the eyes staggering him back. Rocky Maivia dashes toward his opponent trying to mount some offense, however Ahmed Johnson reacts first and he catches his opponent right on the throat. Ahmed Johnson then secures his opponent by the throat and connects his opponent with a modified Belly to Belly suplex. Ahmed Johnson makes the cover: 1…2…, The Rock is able to kick out. Ahmed Johnson picks his opponent up and now that his rival is back to his feet, Johnson starts driving his opponent with straight right hands to the head of Maivia. He then mixes up his offense with toe kicks to the middle section. Ahmed grabs his opponent by the arm and tries to Irish Whip him, however Rocky Maivia is able to counter and he goes under the arm of Ahmed Johnson and as Ahmed turns around The Rock tries to set him for a DDT. But power once again plays in favor of Ahmed Johnson, who is able to avoid the DDT, and then he counters back body dropping The Rock down to the canvas. The Rock gets back to his feet, and he storms right into a clothesline by Ahmed Johnson. The Rock gets back to his feet and storms right into Johnson again, only to get clotheslined again down to the canvas. Ahmed taunts to the crowd lifting both his arms up in the air as he waits for Rocky Maivia to get back to a standing position.

Ahmed Johnson waits for his opponent. Rocky Maivia gets back to his feet and storms toward Ahmed, who already has his right arm stick out waiting to clothesline Maivia. However, Rocky is able to counter, as out of nowhere he manages to float over his opponent and nail a DDT, driving Ahmed Johnson head first into the canvas. Rocky Maivia picks Johnson and guides him back to a standing position. He then grabs him by the back of the heads and throws him to the outside of the ring. Rocky Maivia stands in the middle of the ring, without any opposition left in the ring. The crowd heavily boos as Maivia taunts to the audience, lifting his punch and making the classic Nation of Domination taunt. Ahmed Johnson starts recovering on the outside of the ring, and slowly he starts walking toward the ring, looking to return. Ahmed Johnson is finally able to climb to the apron, trying to return to the ring. Rocky Maivia notices this on the inside of the ring and he walks toward him. Maivia starts nailing a series of straight right hands to Ahmed Johnson, until he finally manages to knock Ahmed Johnson down of the apron. Once again Rocky finds himself alone in the ring, and so he starts taunting again. He gets so into the taunting game and with toying the crowd, that he, trying to mess with the crowd, starts arrogantly running the ring and bouncing to the ring ropes. He goes to bounce back with one side of the ring, however it is the same side of the ring in which Ahmed Johnson is laying, and right on the nick of time Ahmed Johnson jumps right back to his feet and lowers the top rope, making The Rock go over the top rope and land right on the outside of the ring. The crowd cheers heavily. Rocky Maivia crawls away from Ahmed Johnson, not wanting anything to do with him. However, Ahmed Johnson does, and he stops Rocky from escaping any further as he grabs him by the boot, then pulls him closer to him. Johnson grabs The Rock and he guides him back to a standing position. Ahmed weakens him with direct straight right hands to the head of his opponent. Ahmed Johnson then grabs his opponent by the arm and Irish Whips him right into the steps, against the which Rocky Maivia crashes shoulder first. Ahmed picks The Rock and guides him right back to his feet. Johnson then grabs his opponent by the arm and Irish Whips him again toward the steel steps, punishing The Rock’s shoulder once again.

Ahmed Johnson grabs the carcass of Rocky Maivia, guides him back to a standing position and throws him to the inside of the ring. Ahmed slides to the interior as well and there he makes the cover: 1…2…, Rocky kicks out keeping his Intercontinental reign safe. Ahmed Johnson gets back to his feet and looks down at his opponent. Ahmed Johnson dashes to the ring ropes of his opponent, then bounces back and tries to connect his opponent with a splash, however right on the nick of time and avoiding the maneuver Rocky Maivia rolls out of the way making Ahmed Johnson fail. Maivia gets back to his feet and measures Ahmed, who remains over his forearms and kness, in a bended position. The Rock dashes to the furthest side of the ring and bounces back, however out of nowhere the one who reacts is Ahmed Johnson, who snaps right back to his feet and receives he running WWF Intercontinental Champion with a huge shoulder block that violently brings Maivia down to the canvas. Ahmed gets back to his feet and tries to secure a pinfall victory as he dashes toward The Rock and punishes the already floored Maivia by finally connecting his opponent with the Splash. Ahmed Johnson makes the cover: 1…2…, Rocky keeps the match going by getting one shoulder up. Ahmed Johnson seems a little frustrates about the fact that he hasn’t been able to defeat Rocky Maivia and finally win the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Ahmed grabs Rocky by the head and guides him back to a standing position. Ahmed sets his opponent and then goes for a suplex, however in mid air Rocky Maivia is able to counter and avoid the maneuver as he slides down of the grasps of Ahmed Johnson and lands right over his two feet behind Ahmed. Johnson turns around and to a big amount of boos from the audience Rocky Maivia starts unloading a series of straight right hands landing right on the jaw of his challenger. Maivia grabs his opponent by the am and tries to Irish Whip him, however Ahmed Johnson counters and instead he is the one who throws Rocky Maivia toward the ring ropes. Ahmed Johnson waits for Rocky Maivia. The Intercontinental Champion bounces back right into Johnson, however it is Rocky who is able to attack first as he nails his opponent with a flying clothesline, knocking Ahmed Johnson down to the canvas.

Rocky Maivia kips up right back to his feet in a merely display of arrogance, provoking the boos from the audience. Maivia answers back with yet more boos as he screams “The Nation baby!â€, and lifts his fist up in the air. Maivia walks toward the corner and he climbs to the second rope, where he waits for Ahmed Johnson to get back to his feet. Johnson slowly gets back to a standing position, being cheered by the people in attendance, who try to motivate him by getting behind him. Ahmed turns around and gets right in front of the corner where The Rock is climbed, and immediately Rocky Maivia launches from the ropes looking to inflict punishment on his challenger, however to a big pop from the fans and in yet another demonstration of his power, Ahmed Johnson catches Maivia in mid air, grabbing him by the throat with his two hands. Ahmed keeps Rocky grabbed with his two hands and turns around facing now the middle of the squared circle, however before he’s able to punish The Rock in any form, Rocky Maivia reacts and delivers two toe kicks to the middle section, and then a third one that practically lands below the belt line, forcing Johnson to release Rocky and bend in pain. Immediately Rocky dashes to the ring ropes, comes right back toward his Number One Contender and connects Johnson with a rolling neckbreaker. Rocky Maivia makes the title retaining pinfall: 1…2…, Johnson says no as he gets one shoulder up keeping the match going. Rocky Maivia doesn’t let his opponent breath and immediately he tries to lock in a kneeled side headlock, however, and even though he is punished to a great extent, Johnson still possesses his power and he shoves his opponent away. Rocky Maivia takes advantage of the momentum provided by the push and he dashes toward the ring ropes behind him. Maivia bounces back and nails the still kneeled and trying to recover Ahmed Johson with a direct knee strike to the side of the head of Ahmed. Rocky makes the cover: 1…2…, Ahmed kicks out yet again keeping the match going. This doesn’t sooth too well with Maivia, who looks up to the referee reproaching him with his eyes. Maivia repeats the cover, hooking the two massive legs of his challenger this time: 1…2…, Johnson gets one shoulder up keeping the match going, much to the frustration of the champion.

Maivia takes a long, deep breath trying to calm himself down. Rocky finally gets back to his feet, and he brings the groggy Ahmed Johnson up with him. Ahmed hasn’t been able to shake off the knee to the temple Rock hit. Rocky Maivia knows that, and as if the side of the head of his challenger had a bullseye painted on it, Rocky starts nailing hard, calculated punches with his straight right hand directly in that spot. Rocky nails one, two, three punches rambling the brains of his opponent, getting no reaction from the debilitating Ahmed Johnson. Maivia measures this last punch even more, aiming for it to be the last shot and finally put Ahmed away, however when he goes for it, Ahmed Johnson gets right back to his senses and he blocks the punch. Johnson quickly sets The Rock and he drops him down hard to the canvas connecting a high angle falling powerslam. Ahmed remains knocked out on the canvas right next to his opponent before being able to capitalize. Johnson shakes off the cobwebs and he crawls toward his opponent finally putting one arm across the chest of his opponent: 1….2…, Rocky Maivia kicks out keeping the match going. The crowd awes at the Intercontinental Champion being able to still kick out keeping the match going. Ahmed Johnson cannot believe. He gets back to his feet and puts his hands on his waist and looks down to his opponent, as if looking in him the answer for how to beat him and win the championship. Maivia pulls his opponent by the hair bringing him back to his feet into a standing position. Immediately, Ahmed Johnson hoists Ricky Maivia up in the air and charges toward the corner, crashing Maivia’s spine right against the turnbuckles. Ahmed keeps the aggression as he delivers a series of vicious shoulder blocks to the middle section of his opponent, punishing The Rock’s ribs and draining the air out of his body. Ahmed Johnson takes a step backwards and turns his back on Rocky, who staggers back from the corner and right into Johnson, who catches him, sets him up and drops him connecting a sidewalk slam. Johnson makes the cover: 1….2…, Maivia kicks out retaining his belt. Johnson cannot believe it, but he has no other option but to get back to his feet and continue his offense trying to finally end the contest.

Ahmed guides The Rock back to his feet and Irish Whips him toward the ring ropes. He then awaits for Maivia who comes right back from the ropes, however it is The Rock who attacks first as he nails his opponent out of nowhere with a Running Shoulderbreaker, surprising Ahmed Johnson. The Rock knows this is the open he has been waiting for a long. He shows his despair to end the match as he quickly dashes toward the corner and he climbs to the top rope, where he waits for Ahmed to get back to his feet. He doesn’t wait long as Ahmed quickly returns to his feet and faces the corner where the champion is, only to get connected by a Flying Crossbody, perfectly executed by Rocky. Maivia gets back to his feet and badmouths the crowd with arrogance, proud of finally knocking down Ahmed. Rock walks toward the opposite corner and he climbs to that top rope. Ahmed gets back to his feet again and Rock flies toward him, however this time Johnson receives him with a toe kick to the middle section, then sets him up and quickly connects him with the Pearl River Plunge. Ahmed remains knocked out on the canvas, not able to make the cover right off the bat. Ahmed drags toward the ropes and gets back to his feet, then he walks toward Rocky to probably make the cover, however, behind Ahmed Johnson running down the ramp no other than D’lo Brown comes. Brown climbs to the apron but gets quickly knocked out of it by a straight right hand by Johnson. Coming from the crowd and behind the announce tables, Kama Mustafa storms toward the ring. He is able to enter the ring and continues his dash going toward Ahmed Johnson, however Johnson uses his own momentum to send him over the top rope of the opposite side of the ring. Johnson turns around looking for the referee, puzzled at what is happening, but he discovers the referee is busy himself trying to keep Faarooq, who also came out of the ring. Ahmed Johnson turns around then looking for Rocky Maivia, however Maivia, on his knees, is already waiting for him and nails him with a low blow, taking advantage of the referee’s distraction. Rock jumps right back to a standing position, sets Ahmed Johnson up and connects him with the Rock Bottom. Rocky Maivia makes the cover to a lot of boos from the audience: 1…2…3.

Result: Rocky Maivia defeats Ahmed Johnson.

JR: Oh come on, that’s disgusting, what the hell is the Nation doing out here?!

King: They are making sure the Intercontinental Championship doesn’t fell in disgrace and remains with the smarter man.

Faarooq sees that The Rock already won the match and he jumps right down of the apron. Rocky Maivia isn’t going to stick around any longer and he rolls out of the ring. Ahmed Johnson gets back to his feet and he stares at the Nation of Domination, gathered together on the ramp. Rocky Maivia lifts his title up high.

We go backstage and we see Chainsaw Charlie and Mick Foley in their locker room.

Charlie: Tell me Mick, I have to know, how on Earth are you going to pull that off?

Foley: Pull what off?

Charlie: You know, participate three times in the Royal Rumble tonight.

Foley: What are you talking about? I am not even in the Royal Rumble match.

Charlie: Of course you are, I just saw the card and the participants for the match, and you are listed three times.

Foley: Uhmm, there must be a mistake because I am pretty sure I am not in the match.

Charlie: No, it was pretty clear, they have Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack listed and…

Foley: There you have it, I am not in the match.

Charlie: What are you talking about? You…

Foley: I didn’t hear my name in there, did you?

Charlie: No but…

Foley: Then there you have it, I am not in the match. Have a nice day Charlie.

Mick Foley gets up and he walks away, leaving Chainsaw Charlie confused.

My review for the first part of the PPV.

Austin vs. Triple H / Chyna Aweosome match I thought this would have been later on in the card but then again it gave Austin some time to rest up before the rumble match. Now onto the match itself Austin and Triple H each showed their entire movesets and it was great Austin doing some greta brawling action and I could really picture myself there in the crowd it was perfect. Chyna was used correctly having her in the match and make distractions every now and then. Good job seriously.

Dok and HBK Promo It was a good promo because it showed how much HBK wanted to get that Rumble win. And if he does it, it would be three years in a row. Austin though will probably be the last one with HBK and the secret entrant and then it will get interesting I can't wait.

Taka vs. Scott I have to tell you that I am not familiar with either man I barely know what they look like so it wasn't easy to picture it in my head and get into the match. But nonetheles It was a good match I have to give you that. Lots of highflying action and it started off slow with lots of arm drags and reversals and then built up to be a fast paced matchup.

the Kane promo is pretty cool; it showed that Kane meant business against the new age outlaws tonight and well hopefuly you push Kane better then the wwe did.

Rocky vs. Ahmed Johnson This was my favorite match of the night so far. I thought at first it would be a walk in the part with the great one against Ahmed Johnson who is like the 90's Bobby Lashly (imo) but he did get a good ammount of offense in. Showing brute strength and power reversing many of Rock's maneuvers like catching him in the air from the second turnbuckle. And to end the match it was great that you used the Nation in the end of this match because it not only showed that Rock will do anything to keep his title but also put more heat on him and the nation. Great match and the best of the firts part.

Cactus and Charlie Promo I thought this was a smart promo to do because it hypes up Cactus jack as his three different personalities and each of them being totally different. It also hypes up the Royal Rmble and hopefuly one of the faces of foley goes over.

Outstanding first part Ill drop a review for the second.

We go backstage and we see Sgt. Slaughter sitting in his office, behind his desk, ready to address the fans.

Slaughter: Good evening WWF all around the world. I am the president of World Wrestling Federation and I come to you with a message of vital importance for…

Signal gets cut out of nowhere, as the screen turns black. It starts slowly coming back and eventually it does, however we are not in Slaughter’s office. Instead, we see Brian Pillman, who is apparently locked in some sort of small, dark room.

Pillman: Ohh, I’m sorry, did I interrupt something?

The crowd responds “Yesâ€.

Pillman: Well that’s too damn bad, but let’s be honest. Nobody gives a crap about what Sgt. Slaughter has to say. However, on the other hand, I know the world is captivated and holding their breath in fear, waiting for the next thing I’ll say or do.

Pillman’s face morphs into an even crazier grin.

Pillman: And what will I do? I’ll tell you what I’ll do. I’ll kill each and every one of the so called “stables†here in the WWF. The Heart Foundation thought they could get rid of me? That they could replace me? They’ll all pay, and it all starts tonight with Owen Hart.

Crowd cheers on the back.

Pillman: Owen, you’re a marked man, just like the rest of the stables, and tonight, you’re on my target, and I pull the trigger.

Crowd heavily boos.

Pillman: Oh, Sgt. Slaughter is about to end his message. Poor bastard didn’t know nobody hear him. That’s really a shame, because I heard rumors that what he was saying was quite big. Anyways, I’ll send you back to Slaughter.

The signal turns off and goes black for a couple of seconds, then reappears on Sgt. Slaughter’s office.

Slaughter: Thank you everyone, and continue to enjoy the show.

King: Wait a minute JR, what was the announcement?

JR: I have no idea King, that damn Brian Pillman ruined it all.

King: And I’ll tell you something, if I was Owen Hart, I would be truly intimidated

JR: He’s a Hart King, do not forget that.

“Burned†plays to a mixed reaction from the fans as the monster Kane makes his way out, being accompanied closely by Paul Bearer. Kane walks down the ramp powerwalking down the ramp looking imposing.

Finkel: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following is a tag team match scheduled for one fall and it is for the WWF Tag Team Champions. Introducing first, one half of the challengers, being accompanied by Paul Heyman, Kane!

King: Tag team titles on the line, but I know you are wondering JR, can The Undertaker trust both Kane and Paul Heyman.

JR: We cannot deny Kane and Paul Heyman have helped The Undertaker as of late, but Bearer being the sneaky bastard he is, I’d recommend every living soul not to trust them.

“The Darkest Side†plays to a huge ovation from the crowd. Lights go out and no other than the Lord of Darkness, The Undertaker, walks down the ramp. Fire blasts on the stage behind him. The Undertaker walks up the steel steps and enters the ring. Lights go back on per the command of his hand. The Undertaker walks closer and closer to Paul Bearer and Kane.

Finkel: And his partner, from Death Valley, The Undertaker!

JR: The Phenom of Death Valley here with a chance to become tag team champion, but most importantly, a chance to truly give his trust on his brother.

The Undertaker and Kane walk toward each other and meet face to face in the middle of the ring. Paul Bearer steps backwards getting himself away from the siblings. The Undertaker goes to see if he can trust his brother and extends his right hand to Kane. Kane looks right on the eyes of the Undertaker and then down to the hand.

King: I can’t wait. Will he do it? Will he?

Kane slowly moves his right hand closer and closer to The Undertaker, apparently going to shake the hand of his brother.

JR: It seems as if he will.

Kane’s hand moves closer and closer to the one of his brother. The crowd roars in their surroundings. However, Kane finally shows his true colors and he puts his hand around the throat of The Undertaker, the lifts him up high and drops him connecting a Chokeslam.

JR: Oh come on! Kane, you son of a bitch! The Undertaker trusted in you, your brother trusted in you!

Kane and Paul Bearer look down to The Undertaker as they leave the ring, with apparently no intentions of participating in the title match. They walk up the ramp and finally leave.

“Oh you didn’t know†plays to a lot of boos from the audience as both The Road Dogg and Billy Gunn run down the ramp and they slide to the outside of the ring.

JR: Oh no, this match can’t be really happening!

King: IT IS! IT IS JR!

The New Age Outlaws yell at the referee and force him to ring the bell.

WWF Tag Team Titles
New Age Outlaws© vs The Undertaker

Billy Gunn and Road Dogg announce the end. They pick The Deadman back to his feet and throw him toward the ring ropes and wait for him to bounce back so that they can connect the Double Hotshot, however when Taker bounces back the one who attacks is himself, as he flies through the airs and connects both his opponent a Flying Clothesline. The Undertaker gets back to his fweet and he grabs Road Dogg by the throat, and by the throat he pulls him all the way back to his feet. Taker walks toward ring ropes not releasing the Outlaw. The Undertaker hoists him up in the air and Chokeslams him from the inside of the ring over the top rope all the way to the outside of the ring. Taker turns around back to facing the inside of the ring. Billy Gunn, now left alone inside the ring with the Deadman, surprises him with a toe kick to the middle section, making The Undertaker to bend. Gunn dashes to the ring ropes and bounces back attempting to connect the Fameasser, however Taker incorporates making Billy Gunn fail. Gunn turns around and walks right into Taker, who lifts him, sets him up and drops him right over the head, to a big pop from the crowd, connecting the Tombstone Piledriver. The Undertaker makes the cover: 1…2…3.

Result: The Undertaker pins Billy Gunn.

JR: Oh no, do you know what this means?

King: I know it, but I can’t believe it.

JR: Neither can I, but it’s real. The Undertaker and Kane are the new tag team champions.

King: But Kane didn’t even wrestle the match!

The Undertaker gets awarded with both the tag titles and he gets down to one knee, where he taunts to the crowd as lights go out and turn neon blue by sticking his tongue out and rolling his eyes back.

We go backstage and we see Chainsaw Charlie knocked out, bleeding profusely from a gash on the forehead. There is a group of EMTs and officials checking on him.

Official: He’s out. There’s no way he will compete on the Royal Rumble.

The officials around him nod agreeing. Scene fades back to the announcers.

King: He’s out?

JR: That’s what the official said King, Chainsaw Charlie won’t be able to compete here tonight.

Finkel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, with no time limit

“Hart of Hearts†plays to a lot of cheers from the audience as Owen Hart steps from out the curtain into the stage. Owen Hart looks serious and all business as he enters the ring and stands in the middle of the ring waiting for his opponent.

Finkel: Introducing first, from Alberta, Canada; Owen Hart!

King: And get ready JR, the craziness of this place is about to get taken up a notch.

“Shitlist†plays to boos from the crowd as Brian Pillman steps out from the back, with the same deranged look on his face. Pillman threatens to hit the front row fans as he walks down the ramp. Brian enters the ring.

Finkel: And his opponent, from Cincinnati, Ohio; Brian Pillman!

Brian Pillman vs Owen Hart

Pillman and Owen Hart walk toward each other and meet in the middle of the ring. Pillman lifts his right hand proposing a Greco-Roman knuckle tie up. Owen lifts his left hand accepting the challenge, however Brian Pillman snaps and he walks away toward the ring ropes. He stands on the bottom ropes and screams to the fans insulting them. Owen Hart seems confused at this and he looks everywhere looking for an explanation. Brian seems to get himself together and he walks back toward the middle of the ring, where once again he lifts his right hand going for the tie up. Owen again accepts the lock up as he grabs Pillman’s right hand. Brian elevates his left hand and Owen his right one and they lock them up as well. Both men then compare their strengths while in the Greco-Roman knuckle tie up, however Brian Pillman ends the sportsmanship as he nails a toe kick to the middle section. Owen bends in pain which allows the Loose Cannon to punch him right on the forehead. Brian nails a second punch, then he Irish Whips Owen to the ring ropes behind him. Owen Hart crosses the ring going toward the ring ropes. Owen Hart comes right back from the ropes towards Brian Pillman, who receives him with a hip toss. Brian Pillman immediately dashes toward the ring ropes, bounces back and he connects Owen Hart with an elbow drop landing right on the sternum. Pillman makes the cover: 1…2…, Owen kicks out. Brian gets back to his standing position and he walks toward the referee, getting right on his face. Pillman argues angrily with the referee about a slow count. A fan in the audience screams “Pillman sucksâ€. Brian acknowledges the fan and he rolls to the outside of the ring. Brian then climbs on the guard rail so that he can see the fan who screamed. Brian starts yelling at the fan, saying “You wanna go! You wanna go you son of a bitch!†The referee calls Brian Pillman and orders him to return to the ring. Brian Pillman turns his head and stares at the referee, then tells him “Ok, ok rules manâ€. Brian Pillman jumps down the guard rail and slides back to the inside of the ring, however when he does so he gets attacked by the recovered Owen Hart, who nails him with a Double Axe Handle right to the spine of his opponent, keeping the Loose Cannon Brian Pillman down on the canvas and stopping his attempts of getting back to a standing position.

Owen rolls Brian Pillman over his back making the cover: 1…2…, Brian is able to kick out. Owen Hart gets quickly back to his feet and grabs the legs of his opponent. He starts setting Brian Pillman, to a big pop from the crowd, for the Sharpshooter. Brian however is able to use his leg strength to stagger Owen Hart away. Brian Pillman gets back to his feet and storms toward Owen Hart. Hart however reacts first and receives him with a deep arm drag, channeling Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. Both get back to their feet and Owen repeats the punishment with an arm drag. For the third time both competitors get back to their standing position. Brian Pillman dashes toward Owen Hart who attempts for his third arm drag, however this time Brian Pillman is able to block the attempt and reverse it into a hip toss. This however is also blocked by Owen Hart, who instead tries to connect a clothesline. Pillman continues the sequence as he ducks the clothesline. Pillman dashes away from Owen Hart and toward the ring ropes. He bounces back from the ropes and nails Hart with a chop block. Pillman looks down to Owen Hart for a fraction of second, then quickly dashes to the ring ropes behind him. Owen gets back to his feet as Brian Pillman dashes to the ring ropes. Pillman bounces back and nails second chop block. Once again Owen gets back to his feet and groggily waits for Brian Pillman to bounce back from the ring ropes. Pillman bounces back however this time Owen Hart doesn’t just stand there waiting to get tackled down to the canvas. Instead he throws himself toward the canvas forcing Brian Pillman to leap over him. Brian does so and crosses the ring going to the opposite set of ring ropes. Brian bounces back and goes toward Owen Hart, however Owen avoids the clashing one more time as he leap frogs over him. Brian runs across the ring one more time and goes toward the ring ropes. Owen waits for him to bounce back and connect him with his Spinning Heel kick, however he goes for the kick a little too early as Brian holds on to the ring ropes, letting Owen elevate in the air performing the kick, but having nobody to connect, and so crashing and burning spine first to the canvas. Brian Pillman advances toward the laid Owen Hart and performs a jackknife cover on Owen Hart: 1…2…, Owen gets one shoulder up keeping the match going.

Brian Pillman seems frustrated about Owen Hart repeatedly kicking out from his pinning attempts. He crawls toward the middle of the ring. The referee, who is on the way, walks away looking confused at what Brian Pillman is doing. Brian gets up to his knees and pulling his hair screams “NOOOOOâ€. Pillman then suddenly stops and gets back to his feet, where he then, instead of again showing his frustration, he starts laughing maniacally. Brian Pillman walks toward Owen Hart and picks him back to his feet. Brian sets his opponent in a front facelock, then quickly drops Owen Hart head first into the canvas connecting a Snap DDT. Brian Pillman gets back up, grabs Hart by the hair and pulls him back to his feet. Brian Pillman quickly sets Owen Hart in the front facelock, then he walks backwards toward the corner behind him. Cautiously, Brian climbs to the second ropes, not releasing Owen. Brian finally goes for it, perfectly connecting Owen Hart with a Tornado DDT out of the corner. Brian Pillman makes the cover: 1…2…, Owen kicks out yet again to a big pop from the crowd. Brian gets up and advances toward the referee. Pillman grabs the referee by the neck of shirt and yells at him right at his face. Owen Hart slowly gets back to his feet and crawls toward his opponent, who remains distracted screaming at the official. Owen gets up to his knees and he rolls the distracted Brian Pillman up: 1…2…, Brian kicks out. Pillman and Owen get back to their feet. Brian immediately storms toward his opponent looking to attack him, however Owen Hart is able to react first and receive him with an Over the Head Belly to Belly Suplex. Owen gets back to his feet and goes to finish Brian Pillman off as he connects a jumping leg drop landing on the throat of his opponent. Owen makes the cover: 1…2…, Brian Pillman kicks out keeping the match going. Owen, unlike Brian, doesn’t argue with the referee, and instead he gets back to his feet going to quickly continue his offense. Owen grabs Brian by the hair and pulls it hard, bringing Pillman up to his feet. Owen weakens Brian with a toe kick straight to the middle section, forcing Brian Pillman to bend in pain holding his gut. Owen quickly sets his opponent up grabbing him in a Gutwrench, hoisting Brian up in the air and finally dropping his opponent by connecting a Gutwrench suplex. Owem gets back to his feet and walks toward the corner.

Owen there climbs to the top rope, and playing to the crowd he lifts both his arms, getting a big amount of cheers from them. Brian Pillman gets back to his feet still turning his back on Owen. The Loose Cannon finally turns around and immediately Owen Hart comes flying from then top connecting a Diving Crossbody. But, nobody knows more about high flying offense than Brian Pillman, and so he easily counters as he rolls through the maneuver and ends up on top of Owen Hart making a cover: 1…2…, Owen Hart kicks out. Both get back to their feet and walk toward each other. Owen gains the upperhand as he connects a toe kick to the middle section, then sets the head of Pillman between his legs. The crowd cheers in excitement knowing what’s next. Owen screams something that we don’t quite get to understand and connects Brian Pillman with his Inverted Piledriver, driving the head and neck of Pillman right into the mat. Owen makes the cover: 1…2…, Brian is somehow able to kick out. Owen cannot believe it. This time he does looks up to the referee and lifts three fingers trying to tell the referee that he got a three count, however the official reiterates that he got a two count and the match is still going. Owen Hart finally settles in with the decision. He gets back to his feet and still a little disappointed puts his hands on his waists. The crowd tries to motivate Owen Hart and they start a huge “Owen†chant. Owen gets back in the zone and walks toward Brian Pillman, however all the time he wasted has been enough for Pillman to recover, and in a leverage move and having a handful of tights, Brian hurls Owen toward the middle of the rope. Owen ends up draped over the middle rope with his throat right over it. Brian Pillman rushes toward Owen and mercilessly he stands over the back of the neck of his opponent, choking Owen Hart, who is still draped over the top rope. The referee warns Pillman that this is illegal, but Brian ignores him and continues choking his opponent. The referee stats the count: 1…2…3…4…, Brian Pillman finally steps down from over Owen Hart, letting Hart catch some air and try to recover himself. Owen tries to get himself together and get away from the ropes and from the unsafe position he’s in, however he doesn’t do so fast enough as Brian Pillman dashes toward him and connects him with a leapfrog body guillotine.

Owen Hart lashes hard from the ring ropes down to the canvas. Brian Pillman immediately walks from out the ring into the apron, where holding anxiously to the top rope waits for his opponent to get back to his feet. However, instead of getting back to his feet, what Owen Hart does is roll away from the side of the ring where Brian Pillman is waiting for him. Owen rolls completely to the opposite side of the ring. Brian looks angry at this. He springboards to the inside of the ring, lands on his two feet and storms toward his opponent, crossing the ring and connecting the Hart Family member with baseball slide kick to the back of the head to his opponent knocking him out of the ring to the outside of the ring. Brian gets back to his feet and immediately he goes to leave the ring after Owen Hart. The referee grabs him by the arm and keeps him inside the ring, telling him to let him count Owen Hart out. Brian stares at the referee, his eyes slowly turning crazier. Brian Pillman taunts the referee by showing him the middle finger, then goes to the outside of the ring. Pillman, before going after Owen Hart, climbs to the announcing table where he pulls the middle finger to them as well. The crowd responds by chanting the name of the man who made the taunt famous, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Pillman again acknowledges this and answers back to them “Fuck Austinâ€. Jim Ross commentates on how truly demented this man is. Brian hears this and lying on the announcing table he gets right on the face of Jim Ross, intimidating. However, all this taunting and mockery gets interrupted by Owen Hart, who having gotten back to his senses, grabs Pillman by the legs while being laid over the table and pulls him off, bringing him down from the table into the floor. Owen quickly grabs the legs of his opponent and goes to lock in the Sharpshooter. The referee sees this and desperate to get the fight back to the inside of squared circle, gets out of the ring and physically makes Owen Hart release the hold. The crowd boos. Owen Hart confronts the referee asking him why he did that. Brian Pillman slowly pulls himself back up, then connecting a cheap shot on the distracted Owen Hart, Brian Pillman connects Owen right on the back of the neck with his forearm, flooring him immediately. The referee verbally grounds Brian Pillman for what he did, but there’s no going back as the damage is done and Owen Hart is floored. Pillman smiles at the referee and slides to the inside of the ring.

The referee follows him and a little disappointed to what just happened, he starts counting Owen Hart out: 1…2…3…4…5…6…, to a big pop from the crowd Owen Hart start trying to incorporate, 7…8…9…, Owen Hart manages to slide to the inside of the ring right on the nick of time keeping the match going. Immediately Brian Pillman goes toward him putting the boots on him, stomping all over him. Brian Pillman brings Owen Hart back to his feet, sets him and gets up for a suplex, however he doesn’t drop Owen right off the bat. Instead, he transforms his vertical suplex into a stalling vertical suplex. Brian has the opening now and so he gets out of the ring and to the apron and there he waits for Owen to get back to his feet. Hart slowly pulls himself to a standing position, putting his right knee on the canvas at first and then fully incorporates himself. Owen Hart turns around. Brian Pillman immediately springboards and flies through the air looking to connect Air Pillman, however Owen Hart is able to counter as he sticks his knee on the way of his opponent, letting Pillman fly right into the kneecap of Brian. Owen Hart advances toward him and takes him down to the canvas by the legs and he this time successfully locks his opponent in the Sharpshooter. The crowd heavily cheers as they expect to see Brian Pillman tapping out. Brian however starts crawling toward the ropes. Owen tries to stop him, however Brian Pillman is able to grab the bottom rope forcing Owen to break the hold. Indeed he breaks the hold, but what he does is drag Brian Pillman back to the middle of the ring. Owen goes to lock in the Sharpshooter one more time, but this time Brian Pillman reaches up, grabbing the head of Hart and taking him down to the canvas rolling him up: 1…2…, Brian surprises Owen Hart and he’s not able to answer, 3.

Result: Brian Pillman pins Owen Hart

King: And thankfully the craziness is over.

JR: I don’t know JR, now that Brian Pillman won and he seems to be getting more and more successful, this might just be start of the craziness.

The referee tries to lift the arm of Brian Pillman, however Pillman turns him down and quickly rolls to the outside of the ring, Brian climbs up the guard rail and just leaves to the back going between the crowd.

King: Well, and so he goes!

Owen gets back to his feet and stands in the middle of the ring. He looks disappointed, but the crowd start motivating him as they chant his name.

JR: A huge effort by Owen Hart, but tonight was just not he night.

(Wrestlemania: 70 days missing)

“Hell Frozen Over†plays to a big amount of cheers, a massive ovation, from the crowd as Stone Cold rampages out from the curtain. Stone Cold walks down the ramp and enters the ring. Austin climbs to all the corners where he sticks out his middle finger taunting to the crowd.

Finkel: Introducing first, from Victoria Texas, Stone Cold Steve Austin!

JR: A man that has the odds stacked against him but folks let me remind you, Chainsaw Charlie will not be participating in this Royal Rumble match.

King: This means there will only be 29 competitors.

JR: Exactly

“Power†plays to a big amount of boos from the crowd as no other than Rocky Maivia steps from the curtain and arrogantly walks down the ramp. The Rock enters the ring and he stares at Austin before climbing to the top rope.

Finkel: And his opponent, the WWF Intercontinental Champion, from Miami, Florida; The Rock Rocky Maivia!

The Royal Rumble Match
Winner becomes the new WWF Champion

Stone Cold and The Rock stare at each other from different sides of the ring. Hell finally explodes as both storm toward each other, meeting in the middle of the ring with a wild exchange of straight right hands. Stone Cold gets the upperhand however by driving his knee to the Maivia’s middle section. Surprisingly enough both men, even though they have had to compete prior this match, seem to be given it their all out there. Austin grabs The Rock by the back of the head and tries to throw him toward the corner, however The Rock reverses as he reaches out and grabs the left arm of Stone Cold, instead him being the one Irish Whipping Stone Cold toward the corner. Stone Cold crashes chest first with the turnbuckle and in a whiplash effect staggers right back, right back into Rocky Maivia who knocks him down to the canvas as he receives him with a hard forearm strike to the back of the neck. Maivia puts the boots on his opponent, stomping all over the spine of his opponent. Rocky grabs Stone Cold and picks him back to his feet, then he proceed to weaken his opponent even further by connecting a series of straight right hands. Maivia then grabs Austin by the arm and he Irish Whips Stone Cold toward the ropes trying to send him to the outside of the ring. Austin effectively goes over the top, however he manages to hold on to the ropes and maintain himself in competition. Rocky Maivia doesn’t let his opponent catch a break and starts struggling with him, trying to send him over the top rope. After a couple of seconds forcing against each other, Stone Cold manages to connect a straight punch to the face of Rocky Maivia staggering him away. Stone Cold recovers his vertical position standing on the apron. Rocky gets himself together and storms toward Austin looking for a shoulder thrust aiming for the middle section of his opponent, however Austin receives him with his knee, letting Rocky Maivia crash against it. Rocky Maivia staggers back from the impact grabbing his shoulder in pain. Steve Austin quickly enters the ring, dashes toward the Intercontinental Champion and takes him down connecting a Lou Thezs. Stone Cold starts connecting Rocky with big straight right hands to the face, shaking the brains of Maivia. Just now, the countdown for a next entree wines down: 7…6…5…4…3…2…1…

“Disco†plays to cheers from the audience as Dude Love makes his way out from the curtain and runs down the ramp sliding into the ring.

Entry #3: Dude Love

Dude Love immediately rushes toward Stone Cold and grabbing him by the head he pulls him away from on top of Rocky Maivia. Dude Love nails straight right hands to the head of Austin, then mixes it up with forearm strikes. Love grabs Austin by the arm and he Irish Whips toward the ring ropes. Stone Cold bounces back from the ropes coming right toward Dude Love, who receives him with a knee sink straight to the middle section knocking him down. Dude Love leaves Stone Cold knocked out to his right and turns around going to attack the other opponent, The Rock. However, as Dude does so, Rocky Maivia attacks him first as he was already waiting for him. Maivia starts unfolding a series of straight right hands. He grabs the right arm of Dude Love, pulls Rocky Maivia toward him and connects him with a short arm samoan drop. Maivia gets back to his feet and he walks toward Stone Cold, where in his classic manor, Maivia stomps all over the humanity of his opponent. Rocky grabs Austin by the head and guides him back to his feet, then immediately he throws him toward the corner, making Steve crash against the turnbuckle spine first. Rocky walks back toward the opposite corner in which Stone Cold is waiting for him. Rocky looks by the tail of his eye and he catches Dude Love getting back to his feet. Immediately, Maivia rushes toward Love and connects him with a soccer kick like kick to the middle section, keeping Dude Love, who was already over his knees and forearms trying to get back to his feet, grounded on the canvas. Rocky now that has gotten rid of Dude Love, storms toward the cornered Stone Cold, however Austin reacts first and sticks his two boots on the way, making Rocky Maivia run head first right into the boots of his opponent. Rocky staggers back from the crash holding his jaw. Stone Cold gets himself together and he storms toward Maivia, however The Rock is able to maintain himself in control as he receives the running Stone Cold with his version of a spinebuster. On the opposite side of the ring, and behind Rocky Maivia, Dude Love manages to get back to his senses.

Dude immediately dashes toward The Rock, who never sees Love coming, and connects him with a two handed bulldog, driving Maivia right into the floored Stone Cold. Rock’s head gets drilled right into the sternum of the rattlesnake. Maivia contorts as if he just got electrified holding his head in pain. Dude Love picks him up and lets him standing close to the ring ropes. Love walks away from Maivia, then turns around and storms right back toward Rocky, looking to clothesline Maivia over the top rope, however when he dashes toward him, Rocky reacts first and is able to back body drop Dude Love over the top rope and to the outside of the ring.

Dude Love has been eliminated

Dude Love stares at Rocky Maivia from the ouside of the ring and as he walks up the ramp going to the back. We can see Love mouth “I will come back.†As Dude passes the curtain finally leaving, the countdown whines down: 6…5…4…3…2…1…

“Cactus’s theme†plays to an ovation of the surprised audience as no other than Cactus Jack makes his way out dashing down the ramp.

Entry #4: Cactus Jack

King: What?

JR: Don’t look at me King, I am just as confused.

Cactus Jack slides to the inside of the ring and immediately gets right on the face of Rocky Maivia. Both men trade words, however, the first one to attack is Cactus Jack, who starts unloading a series of straight right hands on Maivia. Cactus nails with such amount of strength that beating Maivia down to the punch he knocks Rocky down to the canvas. Even though he already floored his opponent, Cactus continues connecting his straight right hands. Cactus Jack finally stops and getting back to his feet, he does his “Bang Bang†taunt. Jack turns around facing the spot of the ring in which Stone Cold was knocked out, however what he finds is the rattlesnake storming toward him. Austin connects Cactus Jack with a clothesline. Austin then grabs the legs of the floored Cactus Jack, opens the compass and mercilessly he stomps right on the groin of his opponent, getting the awe of the crowd. Maivia has gotten back to his feet and is already waiting behind Stone Cold. Austin turns around, however his sixth sense had already told him that somebody was behind him Stone Cold turns around swinging with a straight right hand, that lands right on the mark knocking The Rock out cold down to the canvas. With Rocky Maivia down on the canvas, Stone Cold puts the boots on him as he stomps all over him. Stone Cold grabs the legs of Rocky Maivia, opens the compass and repeats what he did to Cactus Jack as he stomps The Rock right on the groin. Steve Austin walks away from Rocky Maivia fired up and taunting to the crowd. Stone Cold however, when he turns around where he remembers Cactus Jack is laid out, Cactus Jack storms toward him and connects him with his spinning neckbreaker. Stone Cold, grabbing his neck, rolls away, all the way under the bottom rope to the outside of the ring. However, since it wasn’t over the top, he doesn’t get eliminated. Cactus Jack and Rocky Maivia are left alone in the ring. Cactus stares at Rocky and waits for him to get back to his feet. While he does so, the countdown starts whining down: 7…6…5…4…3…2…1…

Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels stare at each other from different sides of the ring. We can see Austin breathing heavily, while HBK is just relaxed and confident. Both man finally dash toward one another, HBK’s face obviously showing that he expected to gain the upperhand, however Stone Cold receives him with a clothesline that knocks HBK down to the canvas. Both men get back to their feet and it is Austin the one who remains in control, as he connects a series of straight right hands that manage to stagger HBK backwards all the way to the corner. Austin then ends the flurry with a toe kick to the middle section, which knocks HBK down to the floor, sitting against the corner. The crowd cheers as they know the position HBK fell in. Stone Cold knows it as well and he starts punishing the cornered HBK, stomping the proverbial mudhole on him. Stone Cold finally stops and he steps backwards lifting his hands taunting to the crowd. Stone Cold there waits for Shawn Michaels to recover and get back to his feet. HBK slowly does so, using the ring ropes to pull himself up. The rattlesnake is behind him right in the middle of the squared circle ready to strike. HBK turns around, however he was just laying possum as when he does so, he runs toward Austin nailing him with a flying forearm strike. After that, HBK nips up right to his feet. Stone Cold isn’t even moving. HBK walks to the corner and he climbs to the top rope. He looks down to his opponent and finally flies through the air, effectively connecting his elbow drop right on the sternum of Stone Cold. HBK gets back to his feet fired up, and taunting to the crowd he walks toward the corner. There, to a big amount of boos, he starts tuning up the band announcing what’s next for Stone Cold. Austin slowly pulls himself back to his feet, still fatigued at all what he has gone through. He turns around facing Shawn Michaels, who immediately advances toward him looking for his superkick.

However, right when he is about to connect the kick, Stone Cold ducks the kick making HBK fail. Shawn Michaels turns around and walks right into Stone Cold, who kicks him in the middle section looking for the Stunner, however Shawn Michaels pushes the rattlesnake avoiding the maneuver. The crowd starts heavily booing for some reason, and we eventually see that it is because HBK’s DX partner, Triple H, is running down the ramp. Stone Cold turns around and goes right back toward HBK, who again goes for his Sweet Chin Music, but Stone Cold blocks it yet again by grabbing HBK’s boot right his right hand. With his left hand then, Austin shows the middle finger to Shawn, the spins Shawn around and when he finishes his spin, Stone Cold kicks him in the middle section going for his Stunner. However, right before he completes it, Stone Cold gets pulled from behind by Triple H, who had already slid to the inside of the ring. Triple H kicks Austin in the middle section then Pedigrees him, to a big amount of boos.

JR: Oh come on!

King: I told you JR. Shawn Michaels will be our WWF Champion.

Triple H pulls the rattlesnake back to his feet and lays him against the ring ropes. Shawn Michaels gets himself together and gathers enough energies to clothesline Stone Cold over the top rope to the outside of the ring.

Result: Shawn Michaels wins the Royal Rumble!

JR: Son of a bitch. We have a new WWF Champion and not even in a match like the Royal Rumble he did it fair and square.

King: Who cares? Shawn Michaels is again our champion!

Shawn Michaels and Triple H celebrate in the middle of the ring. HBK seems eager to be awarded the WWF Championship.

King: Give it to him already!

On the outside of the ring, we see Stone Cold get back to his feet getting cheers from the audience. Stone Cold seems irate, and he finally explodes and slides back to the inside of the ring. Triple H notices this, but it’s too late as he gets kicked in the middle section and stunnered. HBK awaits for Stone Cold to turn around to hit Sweet Chin Music. Stone Cold does so, but he manages to sidestep making Shawn Michaels miss and pass by. HBK turns around and he gets stunnered as well.

JR: The rattlesnake might have lost the match, but he left his imprint here tonight.

Stone Cold taunts over the floored DX before he finally walks up the ramp and leaves to the back.

King: Well I don’t care JR, all I know is Shawn Michaels is the new champion and…

Out of a sudden, three man appear on the stage, with White Train playing on the back. Two of them are familiar to the WWF audience, as they were here before. They are no other than Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. The other one is WCW’s Executive Producer Eric Bischoff

King: Now wait a minute JR. I know who these people are, but what are they doing here.

Bischoff: Now, excuse me. To those few who don’t know who the hell we are, the man on my left is no other than the man you used to know as Diesel, Kevin Nash.

Nash gets a mixed reaction.

Bischoff: On my left you have former Razor Ramon, Scott Hall.

Hall gets a lot of heat.

Bischoff: And yours truly? I am Eric Bischoff!

Crowd boos even louder.

Bischoff: And together, well, we like to be known as the nWO!

Crowd gives them an overwhelming amount of boos.

Bischoff: Now, last time I checked this show, there had to be 30 competitors in the Royal Rumble match, and yes, yes I know Chainshaw Charlie, uhmm, got attacked backstage, leaving this as a 29 men match, I think it would be only fitting if the WWF gave you what you want and gave you 30 men in this Royal Rumble!

Crowd pops.

Bischoff: That’s why, well, I took the liberty to add to this match just that, a thirtieth competitor.

Crowd cheers.

Bischoff: So without further due, please welcome that man…

“Voodoo Chile†plays to big pop from the surprised crowd as last nWO member, Hulk Hogan, makes his way out. Hogan hugs all the other nWo members and together they walk down the ramp.

JR: I am sorry folks if we were left speechless for a couple of minutes there but, we don’t know what the hell is going on in here.

King: I second you in that one. What is, well, competition doing in our WWF event?

Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan enter the ring ring. Hall and Nash pick up the defenseless HBK, then bring him close to the ring ropes and hold him for Hogan. Hulk steps back taking impulse, then finally storms toward HBK nailing him with a Running Big Boot sending him over the top rope.

Hulk Hogan eliminates Shawn Michaels

Finkel: Uhmm, la…

Bischoff: Don’t worry Findel, I have this. Ladies and Gentlemen, your new World Wrestling Federation champion…HULK HOGAN!

JR: It’s Finkel you son of a bitch.

King: Chill down JR. This is still a family show.

JR: I can’t believe this King. A freaking WCW guy is, is our world champion!

Scene fades to the back with the nWo celebrating in the middle of the WWF ring. Hulk Hogan hoists his newly won championship up high.

CMS' Royal Rumble Review

Triple H vs. Steve Austin: Great opening match between two of the biggest stars today and back then as well, although I did think that Austin would lose the match due to interference from Chyna (as she did throughout the match) and put D Generation X more over. It was a great way to start the show and a logical match to start the show to let both mn rest up for the Rumble match. As mentioned, great way to start off the show.

Michaels Interview: Good way to have Michaels put himself over, as I think that he wll win the Rumble to go on and win the WWF Championship. I LOL'ed when Michaels said that he has a God given talent, considering he is a Born Again Christian.

Scott Taylor vs. TAKA Michinoku:
The right man as it seems as though you are giving TAKA a push, and to be honest, I have never been a fan of Scotty 2 Hot- I mean Scott Taylor. It was a nice, fast paced match, and it left me wanting to read more, so kudos to you for that. I think it still would have worked if it was a Championship match as it would have added a bit of prestige to the belt, but it is no biggy.

Kane Interview: Nothing really much to comment about on this Kane 'interview', just really putting him over as a monster. I think that the NAO will win after Kane leaves Taker stranded.

Intercontinental Championship Match- Rocky Maivia vs. Ahmed Johnson: Once again, an extremely enjoyable match, and as Ninja Star mentioned, I thought that it would be a walk over for Rocky over Ahmed, so it was good to see that you let Ahmed mount some offense in. With Rock not having the Nation of Domination by his side, it makes him look much more of a stronger champion, has he proved that he can win battles on his own, so kudos to you once again for that. An extremely enjoyable match this was.

Chainsaw Charlie and Mick Foley promo: I seriously LOL'ed at this promo, Foley being a smart ass and saying that he isn't in the Rumble. I think that once one of the Three Faces of Foley is in the ring and he knows another is the next entrant, he will eliminate himself to go to the back.

Brian Pillman promo:
I like how you cut Slaughter off for a good Brian Pillman promo, absolutely crazy Pillman is. I am looking forward to his match with Owen, should be a good one with Owen getting the win I think.

Undertaker 'and Kane' vs. the New Age Outlaws: Well I was half right in Kane abandoning Taker and letting the New Age Outlaws pick up the scraps, only that Undertaker did a He Who Shall not Be Named and come out with the victory. I am sensing that they will lose the titles on an edition of Raw, or have a match at Wrestlemania where the winner takes sole ownership of the titles, which Taker will win.

Owen Hart vs. CRAZY Brian Pillman:
My new favourite match of the night so far, so it is my favourite non- Royal Rumble match. It was an action packed, long, back and forth match, and you kept the excitement in the match all the way throughout. I would have liked an Owen win but it is good to see that you are giving Pillman a push, but hopefully this is not the last encounter between the two. Rematch at Wrestlemania please :p.

Royal Rumble match:
I read in the Chat Room that you lost the majority of your Royal Rumble match (I think :p), but from what was there, it was still an enjoyablematch but for obvious reasons, not the match of the night. I was close again in thinking that Two Faces of Foley would almost be out at the same time. I would have loved to see Michaels win and then carry the company as he does so well, but it was a massive swerve to see that the nWo were in the WWF and win the World Championship. I think that this is kayfabe and that WWF got the contracts of nWo, but I am not quite sure as of yet.

Anyway CMS (I am still calling you by this name, Jeff Hardy FTW :p), kudos to you for an extremely enjoyable show, and I can't wait to see the aftermath of what was a great show. I would like to see where you go with the nWo/WCW/WWE saga, and also what looks to be a huge DX up against the nWo feud. You left me wanting to read more, you get a fantastic 9/10 from me. Great work once again (y).
