So does this beg the question that he was trying to get out of his AEW contract then and did what he could to get fired so he could go back.
it proves at least he tried to go back to WWE while under suspension - which is pretty pathetic behavior to me

I don’t know how much longer he had left in his contract while he was suspended, but I’m assuming he reached out because before he got fired, he probably knew he wasn’t re-signing.

Unless TK froze his contract and would’ve kept him and made him make up the time he missed. But idk, just spitballing

Interesting.

Maybe he was trying to get out, really couldn’t tell you. But it sounds like Punk knew, fired or not, he was gone first chance he got.

I don't think losing on on guaranteed millions is a genius move. maybe to your level of intellect :p

And making even more afterwards
that is very, very debatable considering he a) had zero leverage , b) is the one who approached WWE to come back if these articles are to be believed and c) We know Punk was getting paid insane money in AEW by all reports

he has no leverage. WWE will make a lot of money , he will make less money on merch than he did in AEW as well. They only thing he's getting more that is undebatable is more prominent exposure

regardless, burning bridges and getting fired is never a genius move as it severely limits your financial options in the future. If he fucks up again, he will have nowhere to go for a big cheque. had he wrapped up like a mature adult with aew, he would have options. So again, there's nothing genius about getting fired and begging your ex employer for your old job back. it's just sad and immature.

Moxley would never go back imo

Jericho may sign a legends deal somewhere down the line when they put him in the HOF
I think both will go in HOF even if Mox doesn't go back. The Shield is gonna get in no matter what

Obviously The Shield is going to go in. Hell, the group will go in and then all 3 might go in individually.

I just meant, I could see Jericho working with the company again. I can’t see that for Moxley.
