Well I'm impressed they had the intestinal fortitude to pull that trigger.

But let's be real after last year. Tony had to have been pressured. His ego was probably hurt at all in too.

But damn wrestling in the past 30 days has been nuts. Not in good ways

Can’t wait until Punk goes on Colt Cabana’s podcast and explains this… oh wait

NGL TK's whole reasoning made his roster and security look like pussies while Punk comes off as a real life Austin.

If I had a boss who did that for a work office spat, I'd be mad......let us handle it first. It has happened in my work life.

Honestly wouldn't it have been better just to say that CM Punks recent unprofessional behaviour been a better reason without making him look like Brian Pillman?

That's all I'm gonna say about this whole situation.

I don't know why you're trying to defend a man who tried to assault his fucking boss.

Sucks because I really would have given him his win back, but yeah, he can take it from MJF.

Though, I’m personally hoping it’s Sammy.
We might be the only two people here who wants that Sammy World Title run. :lol

Some further details about the investigation process and fallout from CM Punk's firing from AEW were revealed during the post-Collision edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Dave Meltzer & Bryan Alvarez said the investigation over the past week involved talking to all eyewitnesses to the All In backstage skirmish between Punk and Jack Perry in addition to an outside investigation where "a lot" of wrestlers were interviewed on background and how things had changed/not changed over the last year.

Meltzer did not have the names of those who are part of the disciplinary committee mentioned in the AEW press release about the situation. That committee, lawyers and the external investigators all came to the same conclusion about Punk and Khan then made the call to fire him.

Meltzer said that while Punk got fired over the All In incident, there is "so much more to it that hasn't come out" that contributed to the decision, indicating more news is to come.

Additionally, Meltzer also said he was "far too kind" in his reporting in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter about Punk "lunging" in Khan's direction after the Perry incident was broken up.

"If you saw the actual wording of what was said, lunging was...I was toning it down. It was more than lunging," he said.

Other notes:
  • Alvarez said there was a meeting with the talent backstage prior to Collision about Punk's firing.
  • There is no update on the status of Ace Steel who Punk got re-hired as a remote worker after he was initially fired following the post-All Out brawl last September.

yeah I listened to this earlier and they sound pretty pissed and that they've actually held off on other Punk transgressions. Should be a fun post-mortem over the next few weeks as to what comes out

I get they can't morally say the things if they were told them off the record but I don't care for the cryptic shit though lol now it's whatever but they were both doing it the last few weeks too. Alvarez even doubled down on the Punk/Miro thing not being a joke but was super cryptic and wouldn't say how he knew. Like just don't say anything if you can't give details to prove your points there lmao
