ya the aggregators are the worst. say or feel how you want about Meltzer and SRS but at least they are reporting what they hear and not copy pasta + conjecturing other reports, that really is the worst

Many moons ago we have a News site for the forum believe it was this one or it's the one the OG's came from. One of our "writers" did that shit I'm like we can rewrite things in our own words not own opinions. He got the boot I think the page only lasted a month or two.

"The opening quarter of this past Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision drew 472,000 viewers.
After Tony Khan announced that he fired CM Punk 89,000 people tuned out as they went down to 383,000 viewers, a loss of 19% of the audience. "

"The last Punk-centered "Collision" drew 552,000 viewers, meaning that, while time will tell how much of this was due to people not tuning in after Punk's firing, "Collision" shed over 200,000 viewers after showing the two-time AEW World Champion the door — a 38% decline."

I have a hard time with those numbers being for one guy. Could be AEW fatigue so much in a short span?

Could be college football was back, and also Payback was the same night. I mean I know I didn’t even watch Collision live because I was watching the Georgia Bulldogs. So others maybe tuned in to see if they mentioned Punk, then tuned back to football or watched Payback.

Oh yeah those are two things that are going to pull right off the top. The numbers may have actually been up to see what was going on with Punk then going to what people had planned to all along.

I think the overall number is more cause of football and Payback but everyone dropping after the announcement tuned in just to see bc of the controversary. If there wasn't any, number probs woulda just been lower bc they wouldn't have wanted to see what was happening

there is almost always a drop off after first quarter as well I strongly disagree the rating has anything to do with Punk no longer being there. Sure some people dropped off after the announcement but I am no a fan of trying to spin it like there are losing fans because punk is gone. Punk hasnt been on dynamite in months and the ratings are the same. he also didnt pop a rating when he did show up on dynamite that one time. he sells merch but he doesnt pop ratings anymore imo, lots of data to show that is true. he hurt his stock badly after his first suspension

Nah, that's not really a surprising headline, I would hardly even consider it newsworthy. I'm sure most everyone in every other company, especially the people who aren't in positions of power/influential main eventers, would say the same.

Wasn’t he really only back to appease Punk?
