The guy shouldn't want to sue. He got shoved by a celebrity so he should be happy about it since it will most likely never happen again. #punkforthewin

In a court of law there's no case. I'm a paralegal and he won't win.

I'm so sick people trying to get money by suing. Get a job and work!

Now depends on the state and the laws. Every city is different now. But it's not about winning, if he was to take it to court, it would hurt the PG rating of things, sponsors may pull there ads, it would hurt Linda's election. Not to mention how much it would cost to go to court for this. Also the negative press, they wouldn't want that. So, they would settle anyway. But glad the fan is being a good sport.

This is one of those situations where everyone comes out looking bad.

The guy who hits him purposely looks bad because he cheap shots a wrestler from behind at an event where he knows the wrestler is not supposed to hit back. So he's a pussy in that sense, and an idiot because he chose one of the few guys on WWE's roster today who would strike back. He could have gotten away with it with Cena, he knows how to rise above hate.

Security looks bad because not just one but two guys were able to strike Punk (one on purpose, one on accident) when no one should have got close.

Punk looks bad because he was unprofessional and for a guy who WWE has a lot centred around him right now (PPV poster, WWE 13, new DVD, new t-shirt), this really isn't behavior they'll be pleased with. I won't assassinate Punk as a person like others have though, because we all know people who've punched first and asked questions after. He's a hot head, not a scumbag.

I agree with everything you said. Perhaps it wasn't planned ahead of time for Punk to run through the crowd, thus not giving security enough time to get to said spot?

Punk did run off pretty quickly too, maybe they couldn't keep up? That's what I like about Punk, if he's escaping through the crowd, he doesn't mess around he GTFO fast.

I do have to say. Punk does play a good coward. Yeah, the guards were bigger than him and maybe slower. I worked at Great American Ballpark third shift, (That's The Cincinnati Reds ballpark) and running up those arena steps can be very tiring.

The only way it seems unprofessional is cause it was the wrong guy, had he knocked the right guy out then I don't see how it would be unprofessional of Punk, if you're up there and you got fans trying to push and shove you then you're gonna do what you can to defend yourself no matter who you are.

But as a professional, Punk must stay calm and not strike a member of the audience. Even if he hit the right guy, Punk works for a large corporation, they expect him to not lash out out the people paying to see them perform, provoked or not.

I don't blame Punk for hitting back on a personal basis, but from a business point of view he did completely the wrong thing.

At one point a fan shouts "push him down the stairs!" and then someone does in fact push him, no offense to you, but at this point Punk HAS TO defend himself. He could be serious hurt otherwise and I believe that coward also struck him in the kidney. That's serious business.
