I guess this was dropped at AEW Full Gear which I'll try to cheer myself up to watch tomorrow. I love the Classic look to it based on the NWA TV and National Title from back in the day. First guy that makes me think about that Title is Tully all the way baby.

i actually hope aew does have tons of wrestling titles like the nwa did back from the 1940s to the 1980s and also like what cmll is still doing since the 1930s

No, AEW definitely does not need a lot of titles. No wrestling company does.

Technically still think they have less belts than the fed. At least they don't have two works titles xp

I feel like the NXT titles/champions don't generally appear on Raw or Smackdown, whereas most of the ROH title holders, plus a few CMLL and NJPW title holders do appear on AEW quite frequently. If we being real, I think we typically see more title belts on a week of AEW programming than you would on a week of WWE programming. Which I'm not using as a slam on AEW, it's just to say that whatever couple extra belts mainline WWE have over mainline AEW are pretty negligible when you factor in the total number of belts in AEW's orbit.

I think NWA have more too (at least if you don't count ROH)

nwa wrassling back in the old days had more titles than any other company at the time if you count all of the nwa titles from the thousands of nwa wrassling territorys from the 1940s to 1980s

I can tolerate a lot of titles I just need there to be a clear speration between your prestigious divisional titles and the more gimmicky ones which can definitely have their place. As far as NJPW and CMLL belts being showcased, I have no issue with that at all outside of specific issues with the individual company's titles logic, I enjoy the continuity between companies.

ROH is it's own issue, I don't like how Tony books those titles at all. But I don't really group it on "too many titles" criticism, they would be fine if he booked them better. It's all nuanced

The title does look nice. AEW has very nice belt designs for all of their championships.

Technically still think they have less belts than the fed. At least they don't have two works titles xp

You're not wrong. But the one thing in WWE's advantage is the process is relatively simplified.

A male performer in AEW has the ability to try to win any of the following singles championships at any given time

  1. World
  2. TNT
  3. National
  4. Unified
    1. Continental
    2. International (AEW's website lists both of these titles still in addition to the Unified title.
  5. Tag
  6. Trios
That's 6 (or 7 if you split the Unified) championships, NOT counting ROH titles which have been defended on AEW TV with frequency in the past.

Raw/SD have the same number of mens championships. but with spilt rosters, a male performer can go after 2 singles titles and a Tag title. That's it. Same for a female performer.
