Claudio Castagnoli recently did an interview with Arda Ocal of the Right After Wrestling show. Here are a few quotes regarding he and partner Chris Hero coming to WWE after their recent tryout match:

Thoughts on his possible move to WWE:
“I think I would prefer to go as a package with Chris Hero. But I would be comfortable working there on my own. We have a the unique ability to perform in a singles environment and in a tag environment. I think we definitely have very good chemistry and we have greater potential as a team.â€￾

Would the Kings of Wrestling survive in the WWE?
“I think we could survive in the right circumstances. We have the tools to flourish in any wrestling company. We both have unique abilities to talk. Both Chris (Hero) and I are both really good singles wrestlers and tag wrestlers so I think we bring a lot to the table there. And the next step is to bring in actual teams (into the WWE) and not just two singles-wrestlers coming together. That’s what’s missing – actual teams that look alike and seem to have been a team for a long time.â€￾

His last two sentences are so true. WWE are missing real teams, teams that work their way up together like Edge & Christian rather than just having two guys thrown together. KOW are an actual team and will look the part in the tag team division. It will be a good change if they are brought in to WWE. I like the interview since he is confident without being cocky and he says all the right things.

I still hope that they will sign with WWE. The last I read they had the deals infront of them but haven't signed. With Punk leaving WWE KOW being brought into the main roster would be a decent compromise.

That'd be a nice addition. Like you said, no one really gets brought up through the ranks anymore, simply because there aren't any ranks. It's just random guys thrown together. Best chance you've got of seeing this now with the current roster is with Ryder and Hawkins since they've been teaming together on and off for a better part of the last decade.

It is a shame that more wrestlers don't try to break into the business in tag teams. Yes singles wrestling is the goal but tag team wrestling can be huge and you can transition from tag team to singles. If WWE sign them then they need to keep those two together as a team for some time and build a division around them.

On Ryder and Hawkins, they have been doing nothing yet WWE don't use them as a team which is just stupid. They gave them one match together but then ignored both of them. Putting them back as a team again at least for the short term would be good.

I'm thinking it's just harder to come up through the ranks working with the same guy in a tag team in the independents now than it has been in the past. Especially with so much focus on trying to become singles wrestlers. That being said you've got some pretty good tag teams out there that could be brought into WWE, at least their developmental territory, but it'd be up to WWE to keep them in that role.

Nobody wants to be stuck in tag teams, because the money isn't the same.
