I was a fan of The Lightning Express back in the 80s. I remember when they beat Sting and Rick Steiner for the UWF Tag Titles. They never really made it much higher than that. Armstrong was big in his father's territory and Horner had a good run in Smokey Mountain, but they couldn't get over the hump in a big promotion. Best was in UWF when Crockett's NWA started working with them before they bought them.
