Classic (old School) wrestler's deaths that hit you the hardest

Growing up, we have our heroes, and, when it comes time for them to pass, we all feel like we lost a piece of our life. They make a big impact, they supply you with memories, it can sometimes be a struggle to deal with their passing and it seems unfair, especially in the wrestling world, when many of our heroes die far too young. I don't need to name mine as it's obvious, I am just wondering about you guys and what wrestling deaths hit you.

Dusty gutted me I felt like I lost an uncle


Macho, Piper, Perfect, Kenyon, and Mean Gene were all downers for me too

Owen Hart - is an obvious one. I was watching the ppv with a group of high school friends that night, and after JR announced it it was surreal.

Eddie Guerrero- another obvious one but the whole dedication show was brutal to watch. The Hear without You tribute makes me break out in tears.

Macho Man - one of my favorites hearing the news that day was just terrible.

Chyna - Just seeing how her life turned out, it was sad to say everyone was thinking the day would come, and it finally did.

Chris Kanyon - Hearing about his struggles with coming out gay, and his bipolar disorder that was tough to hear.

Macho and Eddie for me, love both of those guys and I was absolutely gutted when the news broke on their passing.

Dusty, Piper, and Heenan also really got me.

Benoit......made me stop watching, made me stop defending the business.

Just too much to say you like this shit.

For me, it was Kerry Von Eric and Owen Hart. Both died way too young.

I know it sounds odd, but Mae Young. I just always thought she'd be around till she was 100, showing up on WWE TV to make us laugh. I legit cried when I heard she passed

I found out on one of the forums I was on at the time. Logged on and saw in chat “RIP Macho Man.” And had to Google it. Shit really hurt me.

Eddie's death brought a legitimate tear to my eye.

And Benoit's death was emotional the first day while shocking and depressing every day after

I actually found out in a random way...I logged on my PlayStation and a guy on my friend list had his picture as Macho Man with “RIP Macho Man”. My heart nearly came outta my throat, I looked it up and was so shocked.

As I've mentioned in the past, I don't think any celebrity death was as bad as Chris Benoit's for me. I stopped watching for four years and it was one of those things where you come to find out not all your childhood heroes are wonderful people. I had to learn that the hard way at age 10.
