Also I tried playing this a few weeks back and didn’t understand it at all. I need to watch someone play to understand because I sucked at following directions unless I see it being done lmao

It took me forever to figure out how water and electricity worked, there's no in game tutorial lol it was so frustrating. But one of my friends came over and played one day and he figured out everything so fast and since then I've understood lmao

Electricity basically works like, if your buildings are close enough to the power you don't need power lines, they're "in the grid" but any buildings not close enough, you have to out a a poweline anywhere in the active grid and connect to the areas that are inactive, you can see what's the active grid when placing power lines

Do like my solar power plant is by my industry so I have to run power lines to my main town but I just have to have a line at the end and itll connect the entire town bc those buildings are all close enough

Look up utility and traffic tutorials especially but my biggest advice is just don't add a lot of stuff too fast, build like one strip of residential at a time and let them build and people move in and start living before adding more, that way if any problems arise it's not a million at a time

One thing I had to do too was early on all the retail stores I added kept closing bc they'd upgrade but then wouldn't have enough educated workers bc of higher requirements, but my education setup was fine I literally just had to wait until they got educated and now it's all good lmao

Also for anyone that has played...are my only options for garbage disposal really just landfills or fucking incereantion plants that pollute? bc eventually I'm gonna replace that industry area with offices bc I think I can manage without due to my harbor and outside connections so I don't need manufacturing in my city but I can't be pollution free unless i use the landfills but those are fucking trash

It is, if you don't have any DLCs. You can also reduce garbage accumulation by using the Recycling and Pet Ban policies.

I refuse to do pet bans I'm not running a prison here. I have recycling on, accumulation isn't that bad so th onenor two incineration plants I need won't be too bad at least

The Green Cities DLC, obviously, adds the most towards getting rid of Garbage and Waste (in a better way)
