WWE.com has moved Christian’s superstar profile to the Alumni Section of the website, and has noted the following in his updated bio:

“[Christian] solidified his legacy and left active competition still at the top of his game.”

Christian’s last match was in March 2014, and after suffering several concussions, his in-ring return status remained unknown for quite sometime.

Well it was innevitable, he spent more time on the shelf than he did in-ring since 2012.

WWE should do a Edge and Christian sitcom on the network.

Christian has been boring for year's.. The only time he was entertaining was with Edge & Christian.

It sucks seeing anybody retire due to concussions though. It's better if they leave on their own terms.

Kinda pisses me off that they didn't come up to him and put a good last feud on the table and see how he'd react. He deserved to go out with a bang, not a whimper. Oh well.

There was little choice in that situation. They seemed interested in getting Christian into some good programs when he came back, but those constant injuries derailed his runs from gaining any real traction. It's one of those unfortunate realities with rasslin'. Between working for years with chronic injuries and becoming far better about dealing with concussions, a lot of these guys are forced to stop before anyone can plan out a retirement angle or some special send off. Many just disappear quietly while the show goes on.

Yeah, it's a hard truth to swallow. I still think he has one more run in him, but that could just be hopeless optimism on my part.

Not everyone gets a Ric Flair send off, he wasn't Edge. Didn't have to be, but he was nothing more than a gate keeper, it's a good job to have, but they are not going to get the top spot.

As harsh as you make this sound, it's the truth.

Christian was very good and he'll most likely be a HOFer eventually but bigger names and better wrestlers have come and gone and didn't get any fanfare. It's hard to expect any for him.
