Former longtime UFC Welterweight Chris Lytle will finally be making his return to the UFC, but not to he octagon.
In light of the recent failed drug tests from Chael Sonnen which involved his hefty $250,000 fine from the NSAC; "Lights Out" will look to replace The American Gangster at the analyst booth for UFC Fight Nights for doing pre fight analysis on the main events.
Lytle will make his debut as an analyst this Tuesday at UFC Fight Night 45 joins the panel which includes also retired Kenny Florian, Undefeated Light Heavyweight and former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Daniel "DC" Cormier, and Karyn Bryant on the analyst desk.
Lytle last fought Dan Hardy in August 2011 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee where he submit The Outlaw in Rd. 3 in a bout which earned him fight of the night and submission of the night honors. Before the bout he handed Dana White a letter saying that win or lose, he would retire following the bout.
In his UFC career, Lylte fought a total of 20 times and shared the octagon with the likes of Robbie Lawler, Matt Hughes, Matt Serra, Matt Brown, and Josh Koscheck alongside many others that provided us memorable moments inside the cage.
