I have a mac, and my friend has vista, and i have a statement since ive experinced both.

vista is a ripoff of os x 10.4, but windows didnt do anything right, so vista turned into shit.

The thing is, every windows 1st edition version has some problems. But its a good version of windows. If youre talking about networking, is much better than XP. It finds the addresses really fast and fixes errors automatically.
There are several versions for Vista. There are 4 different Vista's in the market. The strongest version is the Ultimate.

On the other hand, Vista uses alot of memory to upload. Therefore, you will have to wait for pretty long time to can access the windows Vista after switching on your computer.

Another thing that is bad for the moment is that most of your programs youre used to use in XP doesnt work on Vista. So you will miss these programs and you have to buy or download new programs that are compatible with Vista.

That software thing isnt entirely true, all my games which were made for XP still work perfectly fine, along with all the software I have installed, I havent had to find any Vista versions of anything, besides video drivers... which I run a 8800GTX but that is it, all my old drivers work fine, I have no problems with Vista, the memory thing is sorta true but if you have 2+GB your fine.

The only thing that is still compatible with Vista is the Office software. But if youre having softwares not made by Microsoft, you have a high probability of not being compatible in Vista for sure.

I just got it, like today and im not enjoying it much. Its pretty much the same as XP, but harder to use. Like im having a hard time organizing and finding files. Perhaps its just going to take some time to get used to , but i think they didn't make any real improvements.

all the icon changes its name and its just confusing and the worst parrt,no more microsoft power point

I heard that Vista is crap and is nothing but a crappy ripoff of XP. Besides, why waste the money buying that piece of crap when there is nothing that's compatible with it?

i used windows vista i didnt like it much im much more of a fan of xp. IMO and many other tech people XP is the best Windows OS Version out there.

^^^ lol XP has more wholes in it then any OS out there and from the time it came out to know it still has wholes which is y u still get so many updates. Xp came out unfinished and sucked and imo still sucks. Vista may have some problem now but they will get fixed.

I rater have Vista even with its problems rather than shitty xp.

Plus although i hate macs they have had the best OS out there when it comes to security and holes, macs are tough to crack

I said best WINDOWS operating system. On acutal problems its the best, now on security yes your right. So dont try and disprove me. Have you had any training or gone to college to become a computer tech?Well i have.And if you have gone to college and had training then i apologize.Macs are tough to crack but so is most non-windows operating systems such as Linux.


Windows XP Is better than Vista For These Reasons:
-Half of the software dosnt work with Vista.
-Half of the hardware dosnt work with Vista.
-Most users have to upgrade just to use it comfortably.

Why do you think alot of the computer manfacturers pulled vista and went back to xp?Because it sucks and people hate it but now Microsoft is forcing them to Vista by the end of the year.

Well im 17 so i didnt go to college yet but i went to a trade school and read college books in the computer field so i think thats just as good. I know the inside and outside of a comp and most softwares including all OS.

My laptop after i just repaired is up to speed and has more than enough space and power to run Vista with no problems.
