As a whole, Cesaro didn't have a bad time in WWE. 7 time tag champ, had a lengthy US run, but it was always a case of "could have been more" with him. He was super over after the Battle Royale win, didn't capitalize. Upon return from injury with his Bonds-esq gimmick was getting over, did have a good tag run afterwards from it, but in some ways could have been more as a singles guy. His latest stretch, got a singles Universal title match, even in a loss, impressed, no follow up.

And add the fact that a lot of his friends are gone (DA PARTY REPRESENT) it makes sense that he may want to try himself elsewhere after earning his money in WWE. While I would see him rocking it up in AEW, he can easily thrive anywhere. ROH upon their return, IMPACT, New Japan, MLW, wherever.

I think we'd just think differently about Cesaro and I'd be very disappointed he picks one of the few companies i don't watch:lol

I'm sorry the company you wanted to succeed isn't being received well so far though, I had decent expectations as well

I don’t even like Adam or Kross all that much it’s just the massive amount of dog piling going on makes me want them to semi succeed. EC had explained it better than I did. But also I’d love the Lols

Definitely can’t blame him but this is a big blow to the company imo. He was arguably the most reliable guy on the roster. You could put him in any spot and he could have a good match with pretty much anyone. Definitely the most underrated wrestler of the last decade. At 41 years old and ten years with WWE, I don’t blame him for wanting to try something new. He’s probably just sick of never being put into a top spot and wants to contribute something more meaningful.

I hate to be that “hate on WWE” guy but they dropped the ball on Cesaro too. Fuckin had him beat Seth Rollins and get a title shot against Roman only to shove him down the card and have him not do anything for months. They never pulled the trigger with him so I hope they enjoy seeing him kill it somewhere else. :toomanykobes

Underutilised maybe. Underrated? Never in a million years.

Everyone means underutilized when they say this. Everyone rates him high, it's true

That's what I assumed. Even Vince himself knew how good he was between the ropes.
