As a whole, Cesaro didn't have a bad time in WWE. 7 time tag champ, had a lengthy US run, but it was always a case of "could have been more" with him. He was super over after the Battle Royale win, didn't capitalize. Upon return from injury with his Bonds-esq gimmick was getting over, did have a good tag run afterwards from it, but in some ways could have been more as a singles guy. His latest stretch, got a singles Universal title match, even in a loss, impressed, no follow up.
And add the fact that a lot of his friends are gone (DA PARTY REPRESENT) it makes sense that he may want to try himself elsewhere after earning his money in WWE. While I would see him rocking it up in AEW, he can easily thrive anywhere. ROH upon their return, IMPACT, New Japan, MLW, wherever.
