When Cena goes part time and he's clearly out of the driver's seat, he should finally be able to be alternative.
Unlike Rock, Austin or Brock he won't really have that second career. His TV career will be all but done unless he became a media whore and made his life an open book.
It's hard to believe he'd do any reality shows and potentially cause a rift in his relationship with the company.
Then again, Cena could be far greedier than any of us realize.

It would be a shame (if he can wrestle in his late 40's) for him to a part-timer and never evolve beyond the company man he clearly wouldn't have to be anymore.

No one respects the Hulkster more than Hall. Watch his last call with Scott hall episode where he reviews hulk/warrior from WM6

Nobody respects Hulk Hogan quite like Terry Bollea, brother brother,.

Pretty sure with the horrible Goldberg heel angle, WWE is smart enough to never turn Cena. We all want it and would mark, but would we buy the gear? No, never. The ratings would barely go up, if at all. If we see heel Cena again it'll be way too late.

To be honest I've been with WWE long enough where I learn "Cena" & "Heel" can't match. it's never going to happen, think about the problems

Wasn't Austin a heel when his t-shirts first began selling like hit cakes?

Yes, but that's because people were cheering Austin and basically forcing WWF to turn him babyface. Whole different scenario from Cena. The whole point of turning Cena heel is that you don't WANT anyone cheering for him, so why would anyone expect or hope that his merchandise continues selling then like it does now? While the NWO shirts sold like hotcakes despite the NWO being the baddest heels on the show back in the day, there's no guarantee that things would transpire that way with Cena and from WWE's standpoint, it doesn't seem worth rolling the dice over.

Honestly from WWE's point of view, it's easy to see why they take the safe route in keeping Cena the way he is for the moment. He's still a cash cow and there still isn't anyone who is big enough yet to equal him or take his place as the top tier star of the company.
Until there is and/or the fans who do still love Cena abandon him, the odds of Cena turning heel are close to non-existent.

No offense, but that's a load of horse crap. I don't care if the entire arena cheers for John Cena after his heel turn.
Stop controlling everything. Let his a** turn heel and get pops. I'm not advocating a turn, just the notion that he shouldn't be cheered afterward.
The Empire likes a buzz and a reaction and this would suffice. It's a money issue and nobody knows for a fact that merchandise sales will plummet.

I've accepted the fact a heel Cena could sell merchandise just as a heel CM Punk could. WWE is run by a bunch of p*ssies, I swear.

It's not a guarantee that his merchandise sales would plummet, but the risk/reward ratio here is very important. Most guys, including Stone Cold who was still a red-hot babyface when he turned, take a hit in merch sales when they revert to being a heel. Considering John Cena is their biggest cash cow on that end, it's a likelihood worth considering. But I'm so bored and burned out from discussing a potential Cena heel turn that I'll just stop here.
