Well, do you remember the Eddie VS JBL match a few years ago where Eddie looked like he lost half of his blood? You can't tell me that wasn't awesome. This match wasn't that by a long ass shot, but I'm just wishing.
No I don't think that is "awesome", I think it was a major health risk which has ended careers, Eddie lost way too much blood and had a major risk of infection.

Let's face it, Orton blows ass to see....dude couldn't even sell the handcuff key's well, he had to have checked his hands 4 times just to ensure he had it, but Cena carried the fuck out of the match. Not gonna lie, i marked my fucking ass off for the removal of the bottom turnbuckle (inb4 a history lesson from klock) and even if he didn't hit the table, i think THE FANS undersell the idea of how much worse it would hurt to hit your face on a table and not break the shit. Cena is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Orton, and if you mark for punk, i will drop dogshit pipebombs all over you if you disagree. It wasn't match of the night, but FFS, did you see Golddust carry that tag match? Come on.

Orton blows? He can work but neither guy seemed really like they wanted to work into something special despite both being very capable. Orton hit the second biggest spot which was a bump from the apron through a table which should probably explain what was lacking in that match. I'm not calling for a spotfest but you can't sell it as being the biggest match ever with no risks taken, neither guy carried it as there wasn't anything to carry also IMO. No idea what the random rant about Punk was about either so we'll skip that. Golddust carried the tag match also? He did a lot of the work but you're using that term overly liberally IMO, Golddust simply played the babyface in distress throughout although his sunset flip powerbomb and hurricanrana was dope admittedly.

As for the OP blood would have made sense in this match to sell the desperation to become champ, this match felt far too disposable to be for the two biggest titles in the company. A blood bath? Not worth it, a few bits of blood after a big spot? I'm in.

That's a very good point. Both Cena and Orton didn't look they cared after that match. Cena gave a bigger shit after losing to The Rock at WM 28, and that for only one of the tittles. And Orton looked the same after that match as he would after winning just another match on RAW, the only difference is that he was holding up both tittles. And the crowed sounded like they weren't even there, that's how quiet they were.

Yeah abuse of the word carry was definite. I mean the way the build has worked, I haven't seen anything special from Orton in the ring, or anything that really gave this build everything they hoped it would (with a pretty decent past/present rivalry package, shown 3000 times) but my point was there was nothing to me personally to think Orton wasnt going to finish this PPV with a win, and Cena undoing the Bottom turnbuckle was literally the only moment i thought i might have been wrong (i mean, come on, Cena had him gone and decided to just go after him for more instead of taking the Gold)

As far as Punk goes, It's no secret I don't think he's great, and the way this "build" happened was laughable. This is another example of the odds being stacked against him, and we get a mediocre match with a slop ending. Like I said, i thought the Diva's match had more of a guess factor.

As far as golddust goes, he was amazing. He didn't carry the match the entire time, but when it was down to the last two tag teams, you can see him selling well and big show literally standing multiple times doing nothing to take shots. They did a great job with him helping Dust up at first, but after that, to me, it was all Goldy.

I know my posts are a lot of clusterfuck, and i need to work on being more articulate and on-point, over my much more preferred method of swearing and pointing out the few thing's i liked. All I can say is this is another PPV i am glad i didn't pay for, I watch too much wrestling to not assume correctly for the matches...but if the matches themselves aren't even great, why bother?

I like your post style, it's easy to follow the trail of thoughts. Yeah it's shows like this why I don't tend to buy any PPVs even though they're a lot cheaper over here than in the US, it's not worth the risk especially when it's so easily available. I'll support people who entertain me gladly but I should feel comfortable that I'm going to be entertained.

Exactly. I am 100% sure i'm buying the RR, and i promise it's only half so I can bitch at my TV when Sheamus' music hits. It's a ppv that doesnt require much, and is going to have the Bork Laser/Undertaker presence, leaving out the Kofi Kingston Miz feud that i thought ended 2 weeks before on RAW...or R-truth with Brodus....depending on how the do Brodus Clay here (havent finished RAW still...smackdown tomorrow AM)

But other than that, the Diva's ending was nothing special, and I assumed it would be Tamina ko'ing the ref and AJ cheating, or some form better than "She held onto her hair!" for that Diva's show finale being on. Oh well on that part, but it was a show built for mediocrity, and probably the fact i'm watching WWF2001 that It's so easy to hate. Everything is so, damn, predictable.

OP sort of suggests it, yeah
I don't think he was talking directly about blading per say rather saying if they went the extra mile, which could have included blading he'd have been more into buying it. The odds are I'm interpreting it like an idiot though.

This is just something that's been going around, however it is said that the WWE is willing to take the extra step in the main even at TLC to make the match epic.

This is what makes me think other wise, OP could be a simpleton who thinks blood = teh ratingz IDK but these leads into it being about restructuring the match and so on.
