CM Punk didn't really fail in the main event scene. He never got a great feud going in the main event. Punk still gets bigger pops than 98% of the company during entrance, and during the match. He still sells and he's a great product for the fans. That's all John Cena is, plus the 130 steroid pounds... nevermind... I get it.

Personally, I haven't liked Cena since about 2003 when he was rapping etc. And especially hated him in 2005-2008. But I have to say, I I like him more as he is now than the last few years. Because Cena isn't being thrown at the fans all the time. He has a movie coming out and really isn't getting pushed down our throats like he was when he had the first trash movie come out. I'm still not a fan of him, but I'll rather see the Cena now than previously. Not known as the greatest superstar in WWE, winning all the time, shit like that. He wins, he loses, he's still a threat. I like that.

Yeah, I think every ridiculous idea made here will really happen...when the man stops being the company's biggest draw. C'mon people, you realize this is a business right? And the object of any business is to make money right? Well outside Rey Misterio in the Latin markets and Jeff Hardy to all the prepubescents, Cena is the WWE's only PROVEN draw. I say proven because he is the only guy who shows a jump in the ratings when returning. So, umm, you push the guy who pulls the wagon. Savvy?

As to how awful he is, that is really in the eye of the beholder. As a person who used to love the indy style and is now tired of the tediousness and redundancy of that style, I can safely say John Cena is more than a capable worker. He is probably the best big match worker in the company right behind the sure fire blue chippers (Edge, HBK, Jericho). He was freakin awesome from 06 till the injury in 07, having good to great matches with HBK, Lashley, Umaga, Edge and a plethora of others. Especially the HBK matches. I thought those two matches plus the awesome Umaga street fight made him the Wrestler of the Year in 2007. It takes a good worker to have good matches with different types of wrestlers. None of this can be said for net overhypes like Kofi, Rey, Jeff, et all. Yeah the gimmick is boring, the moves are silly, but when you look at Hogan, you're looking at the predecessor to John Cena with the connection to the fans that the Rock had. I'm not saying he is either, but I am saying that a whole bunch of smarks unjustly hate on the guy without really understanding what he is and how he works. His moves work within the context of his matches and he's a do-gooder face because he draws a shitload of money doing that.

Unfortunately the net is filled with a bunch of smarks that think that RoH's tedious ring style is what makes a wrestler a good wrestler, more so a good worker and that's far from the truth. Guys like Chris Hero and Nigel might be good wrestlers, but they aren't near the worker Cena is. And if you know someone in the business, they'll tell you the same because sadly, most can't identify the difference themselves.

Wow. Some of you guys are idiots. Let's put the companies biggest draw in the mid-card. Rofl.
