Jack Nicolson. He's been my favorite actor as far back as I can remember.

Some others that I will see a movie totally based solely upon that actor being in the movie would be Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Laurie, Kathy Bates, John Lithgow and a few others. I tend to like directors more than actors much of the time.

Very good choices.

Ones I hate:

Russell Crowe. I will not watch any movie that dickwad is in. In fact, if Alfred Hitchcock's zombie rose from the grave to direct one more movie and cast Russell Crowe in it, it would be the only Hitch movie I will never see. That is the depth of which I cannot stand Russell Crowe.

Hahaha! I don't know I kinda like Russell, but I feel your hate. I feel the same way towards Ben Affleck.

Russell Brand. He is annoying even to listen to. He was on Stephen Colbert the other night and I had to change the channel while he was on because listening to his voice is like having my face grated on a cheese grater.

I agree so much there about Russell Brand, but why were you watching Colbert in the first place? He is even more annoying IMO.

Tim Allen. EVERYTHING HE DOES IS EXACTLY THE SAME AND IF I HERE HIM FUCKING GRUNT ONE MORE TIME I WILL KILL HIM!!!!

LOL you're right but Tim Allen is such a likable guy I can't hate on him.

Tom Cruise. I used to be a huge Tom Cruise fan, but all of his Scientology bullshit has really ruined how I look at him. Plus, he just makes awful films now IMO.

THIS! I agree with everthing you said about Tom Cruise.

Russell Crowe is just way too much of a dick in real life and in the interviews I've seen him in that I can't like him. It's like with Tom Cruise, he's a good actor, but if I can't respect a guy when he is off camera, I can't enjoy him on camera either.

I can understand that Colbert is not everyone's cup of tea, but his sense of humor works for me. But more than that, I like him because he's a good debater... when someone on his shows challenge him on a topic, he's able to quickly come up with a good and totally off the cuff remark. As someone who used to debate, it is a skill I respect. But I can understand why some find him annoying.

I really, really used to love Tom Cruise. But if you notice, most of his movies nowadays just have tons of close up shots of him. He's pretty well known to have influence over the director in his movies nowadays so each movie is "Hey, I look great! That's all that matters! We don't need a plot!" But mostly it's the scientology crap. And that's not me being intolerant of religion either. It's just that Scientologists are the thinnest skinned people on the planet.

Actually, I think the moment I really hated Tom Cruise was when he sued a gay French porn actor for 10 million dollars because an English tabloid claimed that the guy said he had sex with Cruise. The actor wasn't even in England when the supposed quote was made and there was no record of it. But the porn actor didn't have money to hire a lawyer so he lost the lawsuit and had to file bankruptcy. I mean, seriously, sue the tabloid or just laugh it off. You don't have to ruin someone's life because you're that worried someone might say you're gay. The ironic thing is that his reaction probably made more people think he was gay.
