Yep that's the only way to lift the curse which is very odd unless the mechanics were tweaked. It says parts of it would be revealed when a player is petrified in YS Origins as well which no info was revealed this time so it might work differently

Magic came out with that right after N1 as well

Petrify mechanics:
A petrified player will be considered temporarily dead, meaning they cannot post, vote or use roles and they will not count towards majority.
They will not flip like a dead player however.
Petrified players can be targeted with roles and killed and lynched like any other player.
If a petrified player is killed or lynched, they will shatter and their flip will only be revealed to the Darklings.

This is what Tweet posted at the end of night when Magic was petrified in YS Origins, no such explanation here but it could just be bc we've seen the role before and it was new then? I wasn't aware it was a Tweet special

I'd assume so? I mean that's two ways to kill without giving town a flip. I feel that would be kind of bastard as fuck.

I guess if there's a way to overturn and both of them take over the faction kill, it's not impossible. I just don't think that's something Odo would sign off on?

If I had to guess it'd be the janitor shot on OMB though I have to admit I can see Poyser doing that one as well especially with how Magic explained why it was beneficial to scum and not as random I as first thought.....but Poyser knew Banez hid behind Lethal and provided receipts really fast which means he definitely knew before the kill was made who Banez was hiding behind and could have gotten the 2 for 1

Trying to think of characters that would fit. I guess Medusa/Medusa head off the top of my head. And yeah I don't think I've seen it on SK but it's not out of the realms of possibility. Neither does the SK having petrify I suppose as well.
