They were ahead of the game on that one. Remember Kevin Thorne?

He wasn't a sparkly, in love vampire guy. Imagine Salvatore Sincere with fangs and diamonds on his chest.

You're getting far too technical bra. I can't picture many casuals saying "Hey! Wait a minute! Since when can Undertaker pass his powers down biologically? This is madness!". A son of his having such abilities would be more logical than most other scenarios.

I'm still saying we go full horror movie shit style and have the spirit of Taker entangle itself within another body, say Mark Calloway was the original shell and now it's someone else. It allows the character to go bye bye as Calloway while giving the option for reviving it.
Didn't they establish that the power of the Undertaker comes from the urn? Have someone steal takers powers by stealing the urn, maybe empty the ashes out of it.

Didn't work for Kama Mustafa when he stole it. It only gives or takes away power to/from Taker.

Is it bad that I see a scenario with someone trying to do some weird ass ritual in the ring to crack that particular function of the urn so to steal takers powers?

Far too technical imo. Many won't remember this stuff and it's not unheard of for WWE to think of fans as Blue. Also, you can fix those loop holes in one simple explanation during the story.

So if we're on board with continuing it, which superstar gets that opportunity? I assume it can't be no vanilla midget.

O'Brien would have been dead set for me but I'm not feeling him at the moment. Let him re learn to be a singles guy and then we'll talk. Judging just by looks alone I'd say Judas Devlin down in developmental would fit the bill. Dude is tall as hell, tatooed and looks like someone you'd see with that type of gimmick. Only seen very little of him in ring though so cannot say anything about star power or ring ability.

You're the only one old enough to remember that.

Daniel Bryan obviously, whilst unifying both titles, MITBs and ending the streak at the same time.

Get Matt Morgan back, perfect size and intimidation factor.

How long does he have left in him? IMO if someone was to take this character, they'd need it for another ten years. If it keeps getting flushed down with different competitors then it just becomes laughable. One of the draw factors with it being Taker is that he's had it for so long and KEEPS rising from the dead with it. I think it'd have to be a young guy with a bright future.

Obvious solution is Nick Hogan or Reid Flair.

I can't see any of the young guys they have now who has to the look to keep it going.

Learn to dash! -.-

Follow up question to folks who say it's possible: Could Undertaker's gimmick be continued? By either his "son" or someone he passes it too?

Completely corny, even by wrestling standards. Plus, the current progression of the Undertaker gimmick is pretty much stating/admitting that Taker himself was never an actual zombie or resurrected spirit or whatever, even if we ignore that he once had a human persona (with a wife and family) as the American Badass. Plus, what happens when/if this son doesn't live up to the expectations of someone following in Taker's footsteps? I hate having a legend like the Undertaker's name associated with someone who wound up being a flop.

I'm sure as the years go by, there indeed will be another very similar gimmick, though. Gimmicks always end up re-used (only so much you can do) but given the legacy of the Dead Man, I think it may take decades before it ends up happening. I think the next similar gimmick should be not a supernatural zombie but a straight up mortician like the Tall Man from the old Phantasm movies (underrated horror series from the 70's and 80's, go watch it if you're into that kind of stuff.) Someone who threatens to embalm people or stuff them in caskets and stuff.
