What stops him from cutting a promo after?

Was Hogan casually wheeling down at Bash at the BEach anticlimactic??

That was because of the heel turn, Trips is already a heel so where's the moment? Him winning the titles again doesn't fit his egotistical character for one he'd make sure it was all about him he's not an opportunist, he's the dealer with the deck rigged.

It's not likely to happen anyhow, but IMO it would be a good moment if it did. I see you disagree but I don't know what else to say on the subject.

Could he? Sure. It's pro wrestling, so the rules exist merely to advance the storyline.

Will he? I highly doubt it. It really doesn't fit anything they've done with the story up to this point. I think it's far more likely (and I think this is pretty damn unlikely) for the Authority to back a heel-turned Cena than it is for HHH to just insert himself into the match and claim both titles.

It's an after thought though, he walks in with no promo or anything and just goes lulz my belts then celebrates? I don't see that happening at all personally it's so underwhelming.

That's what gets views for RAW though.

He has the authority to put himself into the match himself.

Him winning the title will get views, not him walking out midmatch and grabbing them lol. Think from his character's perspective though what makes more sense walking in midmatch and grabbing them or post match with a champion who's been destroyed announcing himself as the number one contender and grabbing them? One makes a huge moment out of him another makes him seem a lot more opportunistic which goes against his MO.

Steph saying "you were champion" all the time while Trips was mentioning some WWE and WH Champion is somehow a clue that it can happen... Meh, I don't think it'll happen...

I see it happening no idea how its going too happen but it's been hinted at and it turns HHH into the ultimate heel and then he can put Bryan over at WM making him a star player for life.

HHH winning the titles off of Cena in an impromptu match makes sense, but it would also almost certainly be a set up for Cena/HHH at Mania, which I absolutely don't want to see (though I suppose it could happen at the Rumble instead, which could lead to Bryan or maybe Punk being the one to finally dethrone HHH at Mania.) Plus, Triple H becoming champion by pulling the titles off the hook himself would perhaps have more of an impact because he wouldn't just be making himself the champion, he'd also be going down in the history books as the one who unified the two belts. Just taking them off Cena after Cena gets the victory means Cena is still the one who gets the accolade of being the second Undisputed Champion in history (Jericho being the first, obviously.)

The chances of Triple H actually making himself champion are slim to say the least, but I can't pretend it wouldn't be an awesome ending that would get people talking and tuning into Raw. It would definitely create a sort of "anything can happen" feeling, which is what the company needs heading into Wrestlemania (and the road to WM begins with the build to the Rumble.) HHH would really be living up to his "King Of Kings" nickname with this, and is there really a more appropriate image than Triple H walking down the aisle holding both championships while the lyrics "bow down to the King" plays throughout the arena? I can also picture Stephanie the next night on Raw introducing us to the new unified champion and her gleefully telling us that it's none other than her husband, Triple H.

What I think/want to happen:

- As Orton and Cena lie on the floor, possibly after a big spot, Triple H walks down the ramp in a suit and with Stephanie, unhooks the two titles, and then walks back with them, smiling.
- Tomorrow on RAW, Trips talks about how he has learned that no one else is suitable to be the face of the WWE and him being undisputed champ is "best for business" etc etc...
- Next week, he appears with the new Undisputed Championship, underlining him as champ
- Hunter then talks with Stephanie and they decide that he should be defending the title like anyone else, setting up a triple threat match (HHH/Orton/Cena) for RR PPV
- Hunter retains and Bryan wins the Rumble match on the same night.
- Bryan beats Hunter for the title at WM, capping off the authority storyline started months ago
