Can ex's get back together?

So it's something I've seen a lot of. Where two ex's break up, then get back together. I'm not talking about being apart for like a few weeks or months, but years. Can two ex's actually get back together? Or do you think ex's should be kept in the past?

They can and I've seen it. And while I'm not saying they shouldn't as a universal rule, but the foundation for the relationship becomes much more unstable.

Yes, definitely yes. I am doing it myself right now. I dated a girl my Senior year of High School, we broke up towards the end of high school cause i was moving to college and she still had two years left. 5 years later and several girls, we get back together and I am now heading into my last semester of College and am in the process of buying her a ring. So yes they can, if it is love. Sometimes however you need to let them go. The girl, Ashley, is my best friend and has been since the day I met her so that has alot to do with it. I couldn't imagine a day without her to be honest. So I'm going to say yes. Of course not everyone is quite that lucky unfortunately.

Just depends on the situation and what your relationship was based on. If it was some I really love this person could see yourself marrying them type of thing then that doesn't really go away sometimes. If it was just based on sex, material, etc then it won't work probably.

In life we may experience difficulties and as a result we have to try and move on or else we will be stuck forever. Going back to an ex is like going back into a mess so its not the healthy choice. People need to get over their hardships not to re-face them unless there is no other choice.

No, like others have said, they are an ex for a reason, and in my case, they are completely nuts

They can get back together, it is possible. I don't think I will ever get back together with an Ex unless I really loved her, they should stay in the past though so they don't bring up past problems.
