Call of Duty Ghosts players on Xbox One and 360 can mark April 3 on their calendar for when they’ll be able to grab the next set of DLC. Ghosts’ second DLC pack Devastation is bringing four new small and medium sized maps, a new hybrid weapon, and the second episode of its Extinction saga.
The four maps take place at a Mayan temple, a mangled container ship, a giant excavation digger in South America, and a reimagined version of Dome from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. The trailer below demonstrates some new features included with the maps, including the ability to jumpstart a volcanic eruption to devastate the playing field.
The new weapon is the Ripper, which is a tactical 2-in-1 weapon that can switch between a sub machine-gun and assault rifle on the fly. The second episode of Extinction is titled Mayday, and will close with a battle against a 100-foot tall Cryptid alien boss named the Kraken.
A multiplayer demo for Call of Duty: Ghosts will be playable starting March 7, and ending March 10. Only three maps – Strikezone, Warhawk, and Prison Break – will be available to be played in Team Death Match, Domination, and Search and Rescue. Extinction’s original game mode, Point of Contact, will also be available.
The release date for Ghosts' second DLC pack on other platforms currently hasn't been announced.
It will be 30 days after the xbox release for the other systems like usual. Can't wait though since we just got the new map packs and you can be Michael Myers in the one map and it plays the Halloween theme.
