Its not like you thought of the idea in the first place Diesel, there has been Match Writing Tournaments before and it was only a matter of time before it was brought back by somebody.

Congratulations Dennin

Besides Diesel, you weren't the only pitching the idea for the tournament. Lethal Combination ask to run one as well and Echelon send me 2 or 3 PMs about it.

Beth Phoenix grew sick of playboy covergirls getting all the spotlight in the Divas, and jumped ship to the Knockouts following Roxxi Laveaux’s win over Daizee Haze for the Knockouts title. Beth Phoenix’s first appearance was interrupting a promo where Scott Steiner was declaring Rhaka Khan a genetic freak and therefore the strongest Knockout. Beth lifted Khan in a gorilla press and threw her onto Scott, then kicked them both out of the ring. This resulted in a match declared for the following week, where Beth destroyed Khan.

Meanwhile, Moose started a feud with Roxxi over the Knockouts title. At their title match at Victory Road, however, Beth interfered and cost Moose the match. At the following iMPACT!, Beth said that Moose had months to challenge for the title and didn’t take the opportunities, so now, Moose was going to go to the back of the line and wait her turn. Cornette came out and declared that at Hard Justice it would be Beth, Moose, and Roxxi in a Triple Threat Match for the title. During the match the ref was knocked out, and Moose took that opportunity to bring a two-by-four wrapped in barbed wire into the picture. She busted Beth and Roxxi open and eventually pinned Roxxi to win the Knockouts title.

At the following iMPACT! It was announced that Roxxi’s injuries from Moose’s attack would put her out of action for an undetermined amount of time. ODB took it on herself to avenge Roxxi, and challenged Moose to a Bimbo Brawl that night. Moose pinned ODB after a German suplex onto a pile of fluorescent light tubes. ODB had to be wheeled out on a stretcher. As Moose celebrated, Beth slid into the ring and cracked her with a steel chair, knocking her out and making it official that she wanted a title match. The match came at No Surrender. Moose was disqualified after cracking Beth with a STOP sign. Moose then knocked the ref out, and proceeded to beat Beth down until, to everyone’s surprise, Gail Kim made the save.

At the following iMPACT!, Gail said that she helped Beth because Moose was a psychotic bitch who had no right to be in civilized society, much less to hold the Knockouts title. Beth came out and told Gail off, telling her to stay out of things that don’t concern her. She then demanded a rematch with Moose, and said that if she wanted to take things to the next level so bad, the match would be the first ever Knockouts Full Metal Mayhem match. Moose came out with a kendo stick, yelled ‘I ACCEPT’, and cracked Beth with the stick. Beth stumbled back, and Gail dove at Moose and began raining punches on her. Beth quickly joined in and tossed Moose out of the ring, then began yelling at Gail, again telling her to stay out of it. Gail protested, Beth got in her face about it, Beth said something she shouldn’t have, and Gail gave her a hard backhand slap. Beth was knocked back, quickly advanced, and Gail gave another, harder chop. Beth painfully rubbed her cheek, turned back to Gail with a smirk, and challenged her right there to a match. The match went on for a solid 20 minutes, both of them being busted open in the process, and Beth picked up the win with a delayed fisherman suplex. Beth had to use the ropes to climb back to her feet. She looked back at Gail, paused, and then to everyone’s surprise helped Gail to her feet.

Next week, at a backstage segment, Beth said that Gail had earned her respect, and now Gail was going to help Beth train for the match against Moose. Over the next couple of weeks Beth trained with Gail, Beth and Moose quarreled at every opportunity, and ODB and Roxxi returned, though still recovering and staying in the back.

On the iMPACT! before Bound for Glory Beth was challenged by Angelina Love and Velvet Sky to a handicap match. Beth won with a double chokeslam. Beth returned to the back after the match and found Gail, ODB, and Roxxi laid out amongst broken furniture. Beth went back to the ring and screamed for Moose to come out. Moose came out, and security had to hold them apart.

Full Metal Mayhem for the TNA Knockouts Championship
Moose © vs. Beth Phoenix

There was a chair already laying on the mat in each corner of the ring, and a table set up beside the ring facing both entrance ramps. The ladders were still under the ring.

Moose brought a shopping cart full of weapons to the ring. She entered with a kendo stick and walked to the center of the ring to face Beth. Beth looked Moose over, smirked, and flexed her arms. Moose screamed in rage and swung the stick like a bat. Beth grabbed it, ripped it out of Moose’s hands, snapped it across her knee, and tossed it away. Moose glared at Beth, a sort of feral look on her face, and swung with a punch. Beth grabbed Moose’s arm, spun to twist it, then picked her up and hit her with a backbreaker. Beth yanked Moose up and went to whip her to the corner. Moose held her ground, and went to whip Beth. Beth reversed it and sent Moose to the corner, then charged to hit a high elbow. Beth grabbed Moose and threw her on her stomach, then grabbed the chair. Moose got to her hands and knees, and Beth cracked her in the head with the chair. Beth smirked and tossed the chair away.

Beth climbed outside the ring and reached under it, producing a ladder. She slid it under the bottom rope. Moose suddenly kicked her end of the ladder, driving it into Beth’s chest. Beth stumbled back as the ladder fell to the outside, glared at Moose, and jumped to the outside apron. Moose charged and hit Beth with a big boot, knocking her off the edge and smashing her through the table. Beth arched her back in pain, slowly rolling onto her stomach. Moose climbed to the outside, grabbed Beth, and slammed her head against the ring. Moose forced Beth’s neck against the edge of the ring, held her head there with one hand, and punched the back of Beth’s neck. Beth screamed, coughed, stumbled away, and tripped over the remains of the table, falling flat on her stomach.

Moose grabbed the ladder and slid it into the ring. She then went to her shopping cart and grabbed a crossing guard’s stop sign. Beth had pulled herself to her feet and was leaning against the ring. Moose kicked the table remains away, stomped to Beth, and swung for Beth’s head. Beth grabbed the sign in both hands and yanked it away. Moose kicked Beth in the gut, grabbed her head, and went to smash Beth’s head against the ring post. Beth stopped herself with one hand, and smashed Moose’s head against the post. Moose stumbled back, and Beth cracked her head with the stop sign.

Beth tossed the sign away and slid into the ring. She set up the ladder and began to climb up. Moose quickly slid into the ring and pushed the ladder over. Beth landed on her feet, managing to grab the top rope for balance. Moose grabbed the ladder, snapped it shut, and charged for Beth using the ladder as a battering ram. Beth strafed to the side, charged, and hit Moose with a hard punch. Moose dropped the ladder, and Beth continued to hit punches. Moose battled back, exchanging punches with Beth, until Beth grabbed her and whipped her to the corner stomach first. Beth spun Moose around, kicked her in the gut, and hit her with a slingshot suplex. Moose landed with her back hitting the fallen ladder. Beth got up, kicked Moose out of the ring, and set up the ladder. Beth almost reached the top when Moose slid back in.

Moose grabbed one of the chairs and hit Beth’s legs. Beth screamed, now only holding on by her arms. Moose hit Beth in the back with the chair, and Beth fell off the ladder onto her back. Moose yanked Beth up and whipped her across the ring with one hand. Beth bounced off the ropes, and Moose jabbed her in the ribs with the chair. Beth bent over in pain, and Moose cracked her in the back with it, dropping her on her stomach. Moose began to climb the ladder. When she was near the top, Beth got up and pushed the ladder over. Moose fell off, took the top rope to her neck, and fell flat on her back.

Beth climbed out of the ring. She folded up the remaining table on the outside and slid it into the ring. She then walked to the other side of the ring, grabbed Moose’s shopping cart, and threw the whole thing over the top rope and into the ring. Out bounced a large Yield sign, a steel rod, a guitar, and a small burlap sack. Beth slid into the ring. Moose was just getting up. Beth kicked all the objects towards the sides of the ring, then walked right to the guitar and picked it up. Moose got to her feet, and Beth smashed the guitar over her head. Moose stood in place, wobbled for a second, and fell flat on her stomach. Beth smirked, then began setting up the table. Beth walked over to Moose and pulled her up. Moose knocked Beth away with an elbow to the gut, then hit her with a Thesz press and began hammering with punches. Beth eventually blocked one, grabbed Moose’s head, and headbutted her away. Moose stumbled back, and Beth got to her feet. Beth grabbed Moose by the neck with both hands and moved her to the table, setting up for a chokebomb. Moose quickly grabbed Beth’s neck with both hands, and the two struggled to gain the advantage.

Beth broke the hold by grabbing Moose’s arm and spinning to twist it. Beth then hit Moose with a gutwrench suplex. Moose’s own momentum got her to her feet again. Beth jumped up, grabbed Moose by the neck, and shoved her to the top turnbuckle, choking her against it. Beth pulled Moose away and hit her with a chokebomb onto the yield sign. Beth walked to the ladder, set it up, and began to climb. Moose grabbed the steel rod, got up, and yanked Beth off the ladder with one hand. Beth landed on her feet and threw a punch. Moose blocked, and cracked Beth in the thigh with the rod. Beth screamed and held her thigh, hopping on one foot, and Moose jabbed Beth’s forehead with the end of the rod. Beth fell flat on her back, holding her forehead on both hands.

Moose tossed the rod away and grabbed the burlap sack. She went to the table, opened the sack, and poured out hundreds of tacks. She spread the tacks throughout the table, then walked over to Beth, who was now bleeding from the rod shot. Moose pulled Beth up and positioned her for a German suplex onto the table, but Beth grabbed the ladder. Moose hit an elbow to Beth’s back and tried again, but Beth again grabbed the ladder. Beth hit Moose with some back elbows, breaking her hold. Beth grabbed Moose’s head and went to slam it against the table. Moose stopped herself with a hand, and went to slam Beth. Beth stopped herself with a hand, elbowed Moose in the ribs, and slammed her head on the table. Moose stumbled away. Beth advanced, kicked Moose in the gut, and got her high in a delayed fisherman suplex. Moose flipped through and landed on her stomach. Moose got up, and Beth whipped her to the nearby corner. Beth charged, and Moose kicked her away with both feet. Moose grabbed the chair from the corner and cracked Beth with it. Beth got her arms up but still took the shot, and fell on her back.

Moose stumbled to the ladder and began to slowly climb. Beth got up. Moose got half way up the ladder. Beth turned her back to the ladder, reached up, and grabbed Moose with both hands. Beth tried to yank Moose down for a powerbomb, but Moose held on. Beth tried a second time, and this time hit Moose with a powerbomb through the table. Tacks flew in all directions, and Moose didn’t move. Beth slowly climbed the ladder and retrieved the Knockouts belt.

I just have to hand it for Roxxi as he took advantage of the stipulation(No Holds Barred) and morphed into another match.

Rob Van Dam goes underneath the ring and when he comes out from under the ring he has a steel chair in his hand. RVD pulls it out and drops it next to him before going underneath the ring and pulling out a table as well as a kendo stick. RVD walks over and picks up a steel chair in the corner of the ring, he runs at Kane but this time Kane gets the boot up into the steel chair which is smashed back into Van Dams face. RVD drops straight down to the mat holding his head in pain as Kane goes for the pin, 1…2…and he gets the shoulder up. Kane grabs a hold of Van Dam and Irish whips him into the ropes on the other side of the ring, when Van Dam gets to the ropes he holds onto them and stops running. Kane starts to run at RVD but as Kane is on his way Rob picks up a chair, he throws it up to Kane who catches it. Kane holds it and continues to run, he gets to Rob and he nails Kane with the Vandaminator! Kane drops to the mat and Van Dam crawls onto him for the cover, 1…2…and Kane kicks out.

Kane slowly gets back up to his feet as RVD gets up and walks over to him. He punches him a couple of times before giving him a couple of hard kicks to the mid section followed by a hard kick to the head dropping Kane back down to the mat. Kane lies on the mat holding his head in pain as RVD rolls out of the ring. Van Dam goes under the ring and comes out with a street sign, Kane rolls out of the ring holding his head slightly as he walks over to RVD. Rob Van Dam runs at Kane and hits him right in the head with the hard street sign and Kane stumbles, RVD then throws the sign to Kane and gets ready for another Vandaminator but when he Kane catches it he cracks it on the head of RVD! Van Dam drops down onto one knee holding his head as Kane pulls him back up and Irish whips Rob into the steel barricade, RVD hits the barricade and falls right down to the ground in pain. Kane laughs at RVD as he walks over to him and starts to choke Rob on the ground, Kane releases RVD while Van Dam coughs. Kane kicks Robs head before picking him up, he attempts to throw Van Dam back into the ring but RVD counters and hits Kane with a drop toe hold which drops Kane down onto the steel steps head first! Kane drops to the ground outside the ring holding his head in a lot of pain while Van Dam slowly gets back up onto the apron. Kane finally gets up holding his face and Van Dam dives off and kicks the big red machine Kane right in the head, both men land hard outside the ring. Rob Van Dam is first to get up after a long time on the ground, he slowly picks Kane up and rolls him back into the ring. RVD also gets back into the ring and he crawls onto Kane for the pin, 1…2…and Kane kicks out.

Both men lie on the mat in pain for a while, they both then slowly get back up to their feet at the same time. Kane punches Van Dam in the head a few times, he then gives RVD a hard punch to the mid section causing Rob to bend down holding his stomach in pain. Kane walks over to RVD and then all of a sudden he jumps up and hits Kane with a hard jaw breaker. Kane stumbles back holding his face in a lot of pain, Van Dam gets back up to his feet. Rob Van Dam picks up a steel chair, he walks over to Kane and goes to swing it at him. Kane sees what RVD is about to do so he grabs Van Dam by the throat getting ready for the Choke Slam, RVD gets out of it by hitting Kane in the ribs with the steel chair causing Kane to release him for his grip. The big red machine bends down a little bit holding his ribs in pain while RVD runs and bounces off the ropes, when he runs back he dropkicks Kane right in the face knocking him off his feet and backwards into the bottom of the turnbuckle. Rob Van Dam raises the steel chair high in the air, he runs backwards before turning around and running directly at Kane but Kane quickly rolls out of the ring still holding his head. Van Dam throws the chair down, he leaps over the top rope for cross body on Kane but Kane is able to catch him in mid air. Kane holds RVD in his arms, he walks over to the ring apron and drops Van Dams head right down onto it. Rob Van Dam drops to the ground holding his head as Kane shouts angrily. Kane picks up Van Dam and rolls him back into the ring, Kane also rolls back into the ring while grabbing the kendo stick. RVD gets back up slowly, he gets up to one knee and Kane cracks the kendo stick over Van Dams head which knocks him straight back down to the mat. Kane goes for a pin, 1…2…and somehow Van Dam kicks out.

Kane gets back up holding his head which is still hurt, he walks over and climbs to the top rope waiting for Rob to get back up. RVD gets up hurt all over his body and Kane jumps off and hits him with a diving clothesline. Kane moves the steel chair into the middle of the ring where Van Dam slowly gets back up to his feet, Kane lifts RVD up for a side slam but Van Dam counters it with a Russian leg sweep onto the steel chair. RVD follows with the pin, 1…2…and Kane just kicks out in time. Rob Van Dam gets back up to his feet, he picks up Kane and kicks him a couple of times. Kane stumbles backwards into the turnbuckle as Van Dam runs and lifts him right leg right into the face of the big red machine. Kane stumbles out of the corner as RVD picks up the steel chair, he hits Kane in the head with it and Kane drops down to the mat into the corner of the turnbuckle. RVD circles the ring holding the chair in the air, he then runs and dropkicks the steel chair right into the face of Kane. Kane’s head whiplashes and RVD quickly goes for the cover on a hurt Kane, 1…2…and somehow Kane gets the shoulder up! Rob Van Dam grabs Kane and drags him over to the side of the ring, Kane lies there in a lot of pain. Van Dam runs back and bounces off the ropes, he goes for rolling thunder but as he leaps up into the air Kane quickly pops up and throws Van Dam over the ropes. RVD goes flying over the ropes and he goes straight through the table on the outside of the ring. Kane drops back down to the mat in pain holding his head while on the outside Rob Van Dam has barely moved after smashing through the table. Kane slowly rolls his way out of the ring, he lifts RVD onto his shoulders and slides back into the ring. Kane goes for the pin on Van Dam, 1…2…and Rob gets the shoulder up just before the 3!

Kane sits on the mat in shock, he slowly gets back up to his feet looking at RVD who is still hardly moving. Kane bends down to pick up Van Dam but all of a sudden RVD pulls a kendo stick out that he was lying on and he hits Kane directly in the head with it, Kane stumbles backwards holding his now bleeding face in pain. Rob Van Dam slowly gets back up to his feet, he throws the broken kendo stick out of the ring as he bounces off the ropes. RVD runs at Kane who turns around and he hits Kane with a cross body. Kane is so hurt and tired that it knocks him over, Van Dam looks at Kane who is lying on the mat in pain. He limps over to the turnbuckle and leaps up onto it; he does his signature pose and then dives off for the five star frog splash, but Kane moves out of the way! As Kane moved he rolled out of the ring, Kane picks up another table outside the ring making sure it will finish off Van Dam. He pushes the table into the ring before rolling in himself, starts to set the table up as RVD gets back up still winded from missing the frog splash. Kane gets the table up but once he turns around to RVD he is already up, Van Dam kicks him a couple of times and pushes him towards the table a little bit. Rob Van Dam then runs at Kane and Kane lifts him up and nails him with the Choke Slam right through the middle of the table. The big red machine Kane drops onto Van Dam for the pin, 1…2…and 3!!!

Here is your winner, Kane!!! Kane slowly gets back up to his feet after a gruesome match, he laughs evilly at RVD as his pyro explodes all around the ring!

Just a suggestion, I think everyone should be required to vote that is still in this tournament. Last time most matches only got 2 or three votes. Just an idea...

Quick question: I'm assuming a fight without honor would be within the rules for the second round since it's essentially a no holds barred match, right?

Both matches were very brutal. I liked Roxxxi's backstory a little bit better, really provided a good reason for why the match was happening. My vote is for Roxxxi.

I'll do this on a point system

Roxxi had the better backstory, it was more much more detailed and got me pumped to read the match + 1 point for Roxxi

King Lennie match was longer and more detailed + 1 point for Lennie

Roxxi utilized the stipulation and created a totally different match than what was called for + 1 point for Roxxi

King lennie's match had a much more even number of spots between the combatants, as Roxxi's match seemed more one sided in areas. Lennie also did and an excellent job of utilizing each combatants moveset to the fullest + 1 point for Lennie

This is where I'm torn, Roxxi's match had the better finish but Lennie's match was more consistent overall. If I was watching these two matches on television, I would say that I'd honestly be more into Lennie's match because of how the spots are set up within the match despite the weak finish. Because of the consistency with the flow of spots shown throughout the match, I am giving this point to Lennie +1 point to Lennie

Lennie wins the scoring process with a vote of 3 to 2

I am giving vote to King Lennie

BTB Match Writing Tournament
Round Two-No Holds Barred

For over a year Jimmy Jacobs and Lacey were the power couple in Ring of Honor. With Jimmy Jacobs at the helm the Age of the Fall dominated Ring of Honor for the better part of a year. Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black even managed to win the tag team titles on two occasions. Jimmy Jacobs was looking to expand his group by adding the services of Austin Aries. After several recruiting attempts, including one by Lacey herself, Austin still refused to join the Age of the Fall. In a surprising turn of events Lacey left Jimmy Jacobs to be with Austin Aries. Jimmy Jacobs, already mentally unstable as it is, began to show signs of a full mental breakdown. At Return Engagement Jimmy repeatedly spiked himself in the head and even sat out the main event match against the Vulture Squad.

Several weeks later Jimmy Jacobs and the Age of the Fall ambushed Lacey leading to her departure from Ring Of Honor. Austin Aries tried on several occasions to exact revenge against Jimmy Jacobs but Jimmy constantly ducked the challenge or made it tag team matches. Eventually Austin Aries won matches against Necro Butcher and Tyler Black on back to back shows despite heavy interference to finally get a match against Jimmy Jacobs at Death Before Dishonor 6. Gabe Sapolsky, knowing the intense hatred these two men share and knowing that the match probably wouldn’t end cleanly, took it a step farther and made the match a Fight without Honor. How far will each man go to win the match? How much blood will be shed?

Ring of Honor presents Death before Dishonor 6

The Touch by Stan Bush plays as Jimmy Jacobs makes his way to the ring with his signature cane. Jimmy Jacobs enters the ring and points the cane at the four corners of the ring and at the crowd which is booing him unmercilessly.

Dave Prazak: Jimmy Jacobs coming out here alone for this match.

Jimmy Bower: Yeah but you know the other members of the Age of the Fall are watching in the back.

Born of a Broken Man by Rage against the Machine plays in the arena as Austin Aries makes his way to the ring to the cheers of the crowd.

Dave Prazak: If any of you folks are expecting to see a display of technical wrestling this isn’t going to be the match for you.

Jimmy Bower: Yeah this match is going to be nothing but sheer brutality.

Austin Aries enters the ring and we send it to Bobby Cruise for the introductions.

Bobby Cruise: The following contest is a Fight without Honor match scheduled for one fall. In this contest there are no disqualifications, no count outs and no time limit. Introducing first in the corner to my right he stands five feet seven inches tall and weighs in at 173 pounds. From Grand Rapids, Michigan this is Jimmy Jacobs.

Jimmy Jacobs raises his cane in the air to the loud boos of the crowd.

Bobby Cruise: And his opponent in the corner to my left he stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs in at 205 pounds. From Milwaukee, Wisconsin this is Austin Aries.

Austin Aries raises his arms to the cheers of the crowd. Bobby Cruise exits the ring, the referee enters the ring and calls for the bell and gets out of the way.

Fight without Honor

Jimmy Jacobs vs. Austin Aries

The bell rings

Jimmy Jacobs and Austin Aries meet in the middle of the ring and exchange words. Jimmy gives a shove to Austin Aries staggering him back a little. Austin gets right back in Jimmy’s face and shoves him right back. Jimmy takes a swing at Austin and connects, Austin connects with a right of his own and Jimmy connects right back. Now both men are exchanging punches in the middle of the ring. Jimmy gets the better of it and backs Austin against the turnbuckles. Jimmy goes to Irish whip Austin out of the corner but Austin reverses it and Irish whips Jimmy into a double leg takedown and mounts Jimmy and pounds on him with repeatedly strikes. Austin gets back to his feet and pulls Jimmy up and throws him out of the ring to the arena floor. Austin follows him out and looks under the ring for a weapon and gets a kendo stick. Austin stalks Jimmy with the stick and moves in but Jimmy climbs back in the ring. Austin climbs in the ring with the kendo stick but Jimmy clubs him in the back as soon as he gets in the ring and follows it up with several more shots to the back forcing Austin to drop the Kendo stick. Jimmy pulls Austin back to his feet and sends him out of the ring to the floor. Jimmy grabs the kendo stick and climbs to the top rope. Austin Aries staggering around on the outside and Jimmy jumps off the top rope and cracks Austin in the head with the kendo stick knocking him down on the outside. Jimmy gets back to his feet and cracks the stick over the back of Aries on the outside. Austin screams in pain and holds his back as Jimmy cracks him again across the back.

Jimmy picks Austin up and tosses him over the guardrail into the crowd and follows him with the kendo stick into the crowd. Austin grabs a chair and launches it at the head of Jacobs knocking him down. Austin grabs another chair and slams it on top of Jimmy, and another, and another. Austin burying Jimmy in chairs now as the crowd cheers him on. Austin walks all over the chair pile with Jimmy buried somewhere in there. Jimmy starts crawling out from under the pile of chairs and Austin waits on him. Jimmy finally crawls out from under the pile and Austin grabs him by the head and clubs him in the back as he tries to get up. Austin backs Jimmy up into the crowd more and Irish whips him into the guardrail knee first sending him over the top back to the ringside area. Jimmy Jacobs holding his knee in pain as Austin climbs over the guardrail with the kendo stick. Jimmy tries standing up but Austin cracks him in the leg with the kendo stick causing Jimmy to scream in agony. Austin tosses the stick back in the ring and picks Jimmy up who is essentially dead weight and gets him back in the ring. Austin follows him in and grabs the leg of Jacobs and drops down with the elbow on the knee. Austin gets back up and drops another elbow on the knee of Jacobs. Austin holds onto it and pulls on the foot of Jimmy with his elbow acting as a brace against the knee of Jimmy. Jimmy screams in pain but refuses to give up when the referee asks him. Austin Aries releases the hold and grabs the kendo stick and grapevines it within the leg of Jimmy, runs off the ropes and delivers a dropkick to the leg of Jacobs.

Jimmy in sheer agony as Austin kicks the stick again sending Jimmy rolling around the ring in pain. Jimmy Jacobs tries crawling out of the ring to the floor but Austin stops him by stepping on his ankle and stomping on his knee. Austin pulls Jimmy back to the middle of the ring and drops down with the pendulum elbow. Goes for the cover, hooks the leg 1…2…Jimmy gets the shoulder up. Austin gets back to his feet and waits on Jimmy to get up to his feet. Jimmy crawling towards the ropes near the Kendo stick. Jimmy gets near the ropes and Austin goes to attack but Jimmy uses the ropes to pull himself up and kick him away. Austin goes back to attack but Jimmy kicks him away again. Jimmy grabs the kendo stick and holds it ready to strike Austin who wisely backs off. Jimmy starts walking gingerly towards Austin with the stick but Austin easily stays away from him with two good legs. Jimmy tosses the kendo stick to Austin and flips him off daring him to attack. Austin charges at him but Jimmy moves out of the way and Austin ends up with his arms tied up in the top and middle rope. Jimmy walks over to Austin and slaps him in the face knowing he can’t do anything about it. Jimmy grabs the kendo stick and smacks Austin hard in the head with it. Dave Prazak: Now it’s a two on one match. Austin Aries in deep trouble now.

Jimmy Bower: In more ways than one because Tyler Black is fresh.

Tyler Black pulls Austin back to his feet and pounds him against the ropes with rights and lefts. Jimmy Jacobs very close to tapping and Tyler Black gets in the ring forcing Austin to break the hold and deal with him. Joey Matthews uses the distraction provided by Tyler Black to sneak in the ring behind Austin and knock him down from behind.

Dave Prazak: This is not right. Now it’s a handicap match.

Tyler Black joins Joey Matthews in putting the boots to Austin Aries on the mat. Jimmy Jacobs slowly gets back to his feet and grabs his spike and tells Tyler and Joey to hold him spread out. Jimmy holds the spike and drops down with a spike shot to the head. Jimmy stands up and taunts the crowd saying this is the end of Austin Aries and the Age of The Fall rules the ring. Jimmy climbs to the top rope while Tyler and Joey are holding Austin prone on the mat. Jimmy is ready to attack when suddenly Roderick Strong and Davey Richards hit the ring and knock Jimmy off the top rope and start brawling with Joey and Tyler. Joey, Tyler, Roderick and Davey brawl to the outside and up the ramp exchanging blows. Austin slowly gets back to his feet and Jimmy turns around kicks Austin in the midsection dropping him to one knee. Jimmy grabs a hold of the spike and waits on Austin to get back to his feet. Austin finally gets back to his feet and Jimmy charges at him with the spike drawn but Austin ducks underneath it and locks Jimmy in a cobra clutch with the spike being almost pushed into the head of Jimmy Jacobs. Austin drops to the mat with the hold and locks Jimmy in a body scissors so he can’t go anywhere. Austin slowly starts pushing the spike towards the head of Jimmy Jacobs while he still has the cobra clutch locked in. Austin gets the spike so that it’s grinding against the head of Jacobs. Jimmy finally can’t take anymore and taps out. Austin Aries finally picks up the victory in this brutal match.

The bell rings signaling the end of the match

Winner: Austin Aries

Crowd: That was awesome! Clap clap clap clap clap That was awesome! Clap clap clap clap clap

After the match Austin Aries can barely stand on his feet. Both men are bloody messes. Jimmy finally slowly gets back to his feet and asks for a microphone as Austin and Jimmy stare at each other in the middle of the ring.

Jimmy Jacobs: I only have one thing to say to you. I hate you for stealing Lacey from me and refusing to join the Age of the Fall. But I can honestly say in front of all these people and in front of the world that I respect the shit out of you.

Jimmy extends his hand to Austin who hesitates for a second and shakes it finally. Jimmy raises the hand of Austin Aries to the cheers of the crowd and exits the ring to give Austin his time in the spotlight.

Dave Prazak: What a show of respect by these two men who just beat each other within an inch of each other’s lives. What a match we just witnessed.

Jimmy Bower: Unbelievable is the only way to describe it. There were so many times I thought the match should have been over. How they kept going after some of the things they went through is beyond me.

Dave Prazak: Don’t forget to pick this up our web site ROHWrestling.com in a few days. Ring of Honor returns to the ring in Chicago September 6th. Good night.

The Story

Kane had been feuding with Celeste’s longtime friend and former partner Aurelia Molotov (picture a near 7 foot tall version of April Hunter). Aurelia had become the target of the Big Red Machine, who had been previously running roughshod through the entire roster, after pinning him in a tournament to crown a new Intercontinental Champion. After weeks of stalking Aurelia (which included viciously attacking her during the UWWA Tournament) Kane defeated Aurelia in a non title match up on RAW. That was when Celeste interjected herself into the feud.

Celeste, who had made history a few months back by becoming the first ever women’s world champion by pinning Chris Jericho, had just come off successful in a feud against Shawn Michaels. Celeste told Aurelia that she had her back, and that she wouldn’t let Kane do any harm to her. Aurelia knew that she could trust her friend, though she knew that there was an evil lurking beneath her exterior. Celeste began to do Aurelia’s dirty work, which began when she called out Kane on behalf of her friend. The Big Red Monster was taken aback by Celeste, because she showed no fear of him. It perplexed him and he soon voiced his confusion. At first Kane was taken aback by Celeste’s beauty, commenting backstage on how she looked so much like a lover that he lost a long time ago.

It wasn’t until after a little poking and prodding by Kane revealed Celeste to be as sadistic and as unpredictable as he was, as Celeste unknowingly revealed her inner demon to Kane. Kane soon stopped seeing Celeste as a mirror image of a love lost long ago and began treating her for the psycho he saw in her. Kane made it a personal mission to bring the monster in Celeste to the surface, in which he all but failed. In one last desperate act, Kane cornered Celeste. He told her he could see the evil in her. Kane asked her what was holding her back, what was keeping her from losing it…. Celeste told Kane that unlike him, she still had a free will of her own; she wasn’t a prisoner to her sub consciousness. Kane told Celeste that he wanted to see the evil unleashed.

As the weeks leading up to the big Summer PPV drew closer, Kane made one last attempt to bring the demon out of Celeste. Kane and Aurelia were slated to go one on one at the Summer PPV with the IC title on the line, but Kane made it a mission to take Aurelia out before the PPV. A week before the PPV, Aurelia defended the title against Batista, and despite Batista’s best efforts to win the belt, Aurelia retained. Kane brutally attacked Aurelia post match, Celeste ran to the ring to save her friend, but the damage had been done. Kane had succeeded in his quest to take Aurelia out of the match, as his attention suddenly turned from Aurelia and her title, to the demon that lay dormant inside Celeste. Celeste agreed to take her friends place and to face Kane at the PPV, but she warned Kane, that if her demon did become unleashed during the match, the all too familiar a circumstance would be too overwhelming for his fragile psyche to comprehend.

In the days leading up to the match, it was revealed how similar Kane and Celeste really were; their dark childhoods, their fascination with fire, their damaged psyches and unpredictability, and their extremely high thresholds for physical pain. Celeste revealed that although Aurelia was her friend, she was glad she was taking her place against Kane. She didn’t see Kane so much as an overwhelming challenge, but rather as an obstacle that needed to be deconstructed, both physically and mentally. Kane stated that right before the match at the PPV that he had come to a new conclusion about Celeste. Kane reveled that the more he looked at Celeste, looked into her eyes, and studied her demeanor, the less of his long lost love he saw in her and the more of himself he saw in her. Inside, Kane said he knew that Celeste was sick, twisted and demented. She was a monster, just like he was.

The Match

Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. What a PPV it has been so far and the night has only just getting started…

Jerry Lawler: That’s right JR. And what a match up we have next, “The Big Red Monster†Kane vs “The Submission Queen†Celeste Crimson…. In a No Holds Barred Match…I’m at a loss for words on this one

JR: And we’re joined by the lovely Sable, representing the UWWA to help us call the match…

Lawler: Sable!

Sable: Hi guys! Man….Kane vs Celeste… it’s like looking in a mirror these two. You wouldn’t know it from looking at Celeste, but she’s psychotic. She’s unpredictable and she’s dangerous.

Lawler: More so than Kane? Kane’s a monster what could he possibly have to fear?

Sable: well for starters, you have to take in Celeste’s incredible martial arts background. If you’ve ever really seen Celeste in action you’ll know why people sometimes call her the most dangerous woman alive. She has lethal kicks and strikes, she can use submissions at will, and I’m sure she can move faster than Kane can even think. Kane will need more than power….

Sable is cut off in mid sentence as “Conquer All†by Behemoth plays over the loudspeaker. The crowd erupts but their cheers are soon drowned by the sound of exploding pyro. A blast of pyro ignites a Hazard Sign hanging above the ring, which burns bright as the music plays. Celeste begins to make her way to the ring, escorted by walls of flame that shoot up around her

JR: It’s like she’s walking straight through fire!

Announcer: Introducing first, from Sacramento, California weighing 170 lbs, Celeste Crimson!

Celeste acknowledges the crowd as she makes her way to the ring. She jumps up onto the ring apron and grabs the top rope. Celeste slingshots her way to the top of the rope, balances herself on the top, before doing a shooting star press dismount into the ring. Celeste removes her signature sambo style jacket and tightens her MMA gloves while waiting on her opponent.

Lawler: Well that’s one pyromaniac out of the way… Ahh!!

He’s cut off by the huge blast of pyro signaling the arrival of the Big Red Machine. “Slow Chemical†by Finger Eleven plays as Kane walks down the ramp with a purpose, staring down Celeste the entire time.

Announcer: And her opponent, from Death Valley, weighting 326 lbs, Kane!

Kane ignores the hostile welcome he receives from the crowd, as his mind is set on focusing on one thing… Celeste. Kane reaches up and grabs the top rope and pulls himself onto the apron. Kane steps over the top rope and into the ring, his gaze never breaking away from Celeste. Kane slowly raises his arms over his head, as the arena darkens. Kane drops his arms as lightning flashes from the sky and strikes the 4 corners of the ring as 4 large pillars of flame erupt from the turnbuckles, igniting the air around him and his opponent. Celeste remains unmoved during the display of power, showing Kane that she won’t be intimated by his bag of tricks. Kane backs away with a scowl on his face as Celeste cracks a sadistic looking smile. The referee rings the bell and the match is underway.

Kane adjusts his shoulder pad as he and Celeste circle each other. Kane lunges for Celeste, but she ducks under him and kicks him hard in the ribs before he can fully react. Kane backs away and turns to face Celeste again. Kane tries to trap Celeste in a corner and overwhelm her but she rolls beneath his legs and kicks him backwards into the turnbuckle. Celeste quickly follows that up with a knee strike to the face. Celeste backs away and tries to bait Kane out of the corner. Kane takes the bait and rushes out of the corner, where Celeste trips him with drop toe hold. Celeste immediately tries to apply the Ankle Lock, but Kane kicks her off and gets back to his feet. Celeste takes Kane out at the knee, bringing the big man to his knees; Celeste kicks Kane in the head dropping him to the mat. With a grunt, Kane quickly rolls out of the ring and onto the floor. Kane begins to pace as he begins to voice his frustrations. In a fit of rage, Kane lifts the ring stairs from their foundations and sends them flying.

Lawler: Easy big guy, no need to lose your cool…

Sable: Celeste is getting into his head, he knows it…

Kane and Celeste trade words, as Celeste taunts Kane from the inside. Celeste targets Kane’s knee again, but Kane catches her kick and powers her down to the mat with a short arm lariat. Kane mouths off to Celeste, but eats his words as Celeste sits up to look him in the eye. Kane kicks Celeste in the face, grabs her by the shoulders and places her in an upright position. Kane runs, bounces off the ropes, and hits a low dropkick, sending Celeste flying across the ring. Kane picks Celeste up and tosses her body outside the ring where she lands in a heap on the mat below. Kane follows Celeste to the outside and rams her against the barricade. Kane picks Celeste up like a rag doll and drops her face first against the top of the barricade. Celeste shakes off the attack and begins to move towards the announce table, with Kane in tow. Kane hits Celeste with a shallow uppercut as Celeste falls across the announce table. Kane scares away several ring officials away from their chairs, grabbing two of them, he tosses the chairs into the ring. Kane grabs Celeste and tries to whip her into the ring post, but Celeste counters and kicks away Kane’s arm. Celeste kicks Kane in the leg and drives him back against the ring apron where she leaps up and knees Kane in the side of the head, dropping his body down to her level. Celeste takes advantage and begins to wail away on Kane unmercifully with repeated right hands, taking the giant down to the floor.

JR: Celeste has lost it, and now she’s beating Kane unmercifully with right hands!

Sable: Ah, I think her reactor core has been destroyed… gentlemen, get ready for a meltdown

Celeste reaches under the ring and throws a trashcan into the ring before reaching underneath the ring again and retrieving a lead pipe.

Lawler: Ahh! Kane she has a pipe, this maniac woman has a pipe!

Celeste advances with the weapon and begins to batter the Big Red Machine with it. Kane begins to retreat back towards the barrier, as to shield himself from Celeste’s onslaught. Kane suddenly grabs Celeste’s arm, preventing her from hitting him with the weapon and flings her over the barrier and into the crowd. Kane steps over the barrier in pursuit, but is immediately met with another shot with the lead pipe. Kane blocks another shot with the pipe from Celeste, and then shoves her aside. Kane begins to brawl with Celeste as the fight thought the crowd. Kane slams Celeste hard against a steel wall. Kane mouths to her that “two people with their instability cannot co existâ€. Kane tries to avalanche Celeste against the wall, but she moves out of the way at the last second as Kane hits the wall hard. Celeste responds with an “I know†before pummeling Kane with more of her vicious kicks. The two fight their way over to the production stage next to the stairway leading to the entrance ramp. Kane overpowers Celeste and throws her against the steel stairs. Kane forces Celeste up the steps and onto the entranceway. Celeste continues to show her tenacity, fighting Kane the entire way.

JR: This match has become nothing but a brawl. Just two sadistic, maniacal human beings imposing their will on each other

Lawler: And on one side you have a 7 foot 330 pound sadistic monster that doesn’t feel pain…

Sable: and the other you have a sadistic martial arts master who also doesn’t feel pain… hmm… tough call

Celeste takes advantage of her formidable striking ability, freeing herself from Kane’s grasp with her lethal kicks. Celeste rears back and catches Kane across the chin with one of her awesome superkicks, causing him to teeter on the edge in front of a drop of the entranceway. Kane quickly drops to a knee to save himself from going over, knowingly leaving himself open to attack. Kane blocks the oncoming kick, reaches out and grabs Celeste by the throat. Kane picks Celeste up over his head and runs with her, driving her back first into the Plexiglas beside the Titantron. Kane picks Celeste up on his shoulder, looking to drive her face first into the Plexiglas fixture, but Celeste rolls of Kane’s shoulders at the last second. Celeste looks for another superkick, but Kane wisely dodges the kick at the last second. Celeste kicks the Plexiglas with so much force, her foot imprints itself on the bottom of the glass as the bottom of the fixture begins to shatter.

JR: Kane was wise to duck that time, good lord, Celeste’s kicks are so powerful and precise she just cracked that glass fixture.

Kane scores with another uppercut, knocking Celeste down. Kane throws Celeste down the slanted rampway was she rolls towards the barriers in front of the ring. Kane slams Celeste backwards against the barrier. Kane chokes Celeste against the barrier with his foot, while screaming obscenities at her. Kane remarks “you should have stayed out of my business†as he gets a cord and proceeds to wrap it around Celeste’s neck, choking her with cord. Celeste’s body goes limp as Kane releases the cord, picks up her body and throws her back into the ring. Celeste wheezes, trying to catch her breath as Kane steps over the top rope and back into the ring. Kane kicks Celeste in the side of the head, Celeste rolls out of instinct to get away. Kane lifts Celeste to her feet and whips her into the turnbuckle. Celeste looks down and out as Kane charges in to squash Celeste in the corner, but she moves ate the last second, and Kane eats the turnbuckle hard. Celeste goes to the outside apron, looking to slingshot herself onto Kane. Kane finds himself aware of his surroundings and jumps up to meet Celeste as she slingshots herself to the top, knocking her off the ropes with an impressive looking dropkick.

JR: Bah Gawd!!! What athleticism from the Big Red Machine!!

Lawler: Oh my gosh! Kane just leapt up and drop kicked Celeste right out of the air!

As Celeste struggled to her feet on the outside, Kane ascended the top turnbuckle. With the crowd holding their breath, Kane leaped from the top taking out Celeste on the floor below

Sable: That’s it, she’s done. She may not feel pain, but that doesn’t mean her body doesn’t absorb it.

Kane walks over to Celeste’s limp body and nudges it with his foot. Kane lifts Celeste to her feet and lifts her body over his head in a military press. Kane walks over and tosses Celeste over the top rope. Kane slides underneath the ring and walks over to one of the steel chairs lying dormant in the corner. Kane picks up the chair and tosses it down in the middle of the ring as Celeste slowly gets back to her feet. Kane signals for the chokeslam, has he grabs Celeste’s throat. Celeste begins to fight Kane’s grip as she tries to wrench herself free. Celeste kicks Kane’s hand away and tries to aim one at his face, but Kane blocks the kick and has her by the throat. Kane lifts Celeste for chokeslam, but Celeste counters mid move – driving Kane down across the steel chair with a DDT much to the delight of the crowd. Celeste begins to catch her second wind as she picks up the chair and begins stalking Kane with it. Celeste levels Kane across the skull with the chair, Celeste targets Kane’s knee with the weapon wailing away in a brutal fashion. Celeste delivers not one but two violent, but well placed roundhouse kicks to the side of Kane’s head, dropping the big man to the canvas. Celeste threads the chair through Kane’s leg and around his knee has she rushes to retrieve the other steel chair lying on the opposite side of the ring. Chair in hand, Celeste tells Kane â€you haven’t suffered yet†as she proceeds to wail away on Kane ‘s chair wrapped knee, compressing it between the chair in her hand as Kane violently recoils

Lawler: Oh my Gosh!

Sable: I told you… this woman has lost her mind. Even if she was docile before, the potential for this kind of violence has always been their

Lawler: Both Kane and Crimson are out of their minds; this match isn’t going to end until someone leaves on a stretcher!

Celeste applies a leg bar on Kane, using the chair as leverage. Kane tries to fight his way out, but Celeste reverses the hold into an Ankle Lock, has she applies a grapevine for more support. Kane feigns tapping, the sweat dripping from his brow, as he decides to gut it out and try to make it to the ropes. Kane pulls Celeste using the strength in his upper body, desperately trying to reach the ropes. Celeste tries to pull Kane back towards the center of the ring, but Kane manages to swat her away with his good leg. Kane tries to stand, but his entire leg just buckles underneath him. Kane swats Celeste away, trying to put the relentless woman down so that he can free his knee from the steel chair. Kane manages to sidestep Celeste, and using all the power he can muster, flattens her with a short arm lariat. Kane struggles to get the chair off his knee as he threads it through his leg, all the while hurling obscenities towards Celeste. With his back turned to her, Celeste gets to her feet like a shark smelling blood, as she rushes to attack, but Kane catches her and hits a big sidewalk slam, shifting the momentum. Kane feels his adrenaline pumping as he lifts Celeste off her feet with one arm; Kane turns and plants her with a powerslam. Kane makes the first cover of the match

But Celeste kicks out. Kane mounts the smaller woman and begins to hammer away on her with right hands. Kane mouths “you call that suffering? Let me show you suffering.†Kane lays Celeste out with one more right hand, then rolls out of the ring to collect more weapons. Kane grabs another chair and slides it into the ring; Kane rummages under the ring and retrieves a small brown bag, which tosses into the ring next to the turnbuckle. Kane tries to slide back into the ring, but is met with a baseball slide by Celeste, which knocks Kane backwards. But Celeste kicks out at the last second

JR: Bah Gawd! Celeste kicked out of the Chokeslam! Where does this woman keep finding the strength to continue?

Sable: Celeste doesn’t feel pain, she doesn’t suffer. She’s basically the female version of Kane. You think you’ve got her down, but then she just gets right back up

JR: By God she’s done it, Celeste has pinned the big red machine! Celeste pins Kane thanks from a late match interference from Aurelia Molotov

Lawler: Oh my gosh, I didn’t think she could do it.

Sable: I had a feeling that was going to happen; Kane took Aurelia out of this match specifically so that he could have Celeste all to himself, Aurelia got some retribution in this match, costing Kane the win

Lawler: Aurelia chokeslamed Kane on a bed of thumbtacks!

JR: it was an impressive display of power
