Following last Sunday's physically brutal Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing, AEW's Bryan Danielson is expected to miss the next one-to-two weeks of action due to injury.

Danielson pulled out of a Sunday meet & greet event in New Bedford, Massachusetts. According to a Fightful report, a staff member told a fan that Danielson was injured and unable to fly which they independently verified.

Our Bryan Alvarez said two sources provided the timeframe and said that while Danielson was hurt in the aforementioned match, it doesn't appear to be anything serious. It's unknown what the injury is.

Danielson passed out in the match while Chris Jericho had him in the Walls of Jericho as Jake Hager choked him out with a ring rope, giving Jericho Appreciation Society the win in the first-ever such AEW match of its kind. He didn't appear on AEW TV this past week.

Danielson's Blackpool Combat Club partner Jon Moxley will be in action this Wednesday as he competes for a slot in the interim World title match at this month's Forbidden Door pay-per-view while Wheeler Yuta should return imminently following the wrap of NJPW's Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

I hope it’s not his neck.

These over the top matches need to stop happening.

I don't follow what you mean. Match type is irrelevant and a hardcore match of that nature isnt anymore inherently dangerous than any other no holds barred match. Bryan didnt even do any crazy spots so this is kind of a silly take

There’s always the potential to get hurt…

But hardcore wrestling increases the odds.

It really doesn't though, people get hurt hitting the ropes and bryan himself does a flying headbutt still. Should we stop doing cage matches, street fights and everything else thats not a strict 1 on 1 in the ring match too by that logic?

Yeah did Bryan even do any hardcore spot in the match? Like most of the hardcore spot and bleeding was done by other people.

Nah, not as much as the others. I actually loved that him and Hager were doing technical shit amidst all the chaos. :lol Trying to get a mat classic outta him.

Glad Bryan is only out for a couple of weeks, and hope he rests up well. I'm still sad about Punk on Friday man, as soon as he begins his reign he's out.

Hager is a shit worker....with 14 years of experience.

Probably hit Bryan with something that rung his bell.
