FIGHTFUL: Bryan Danielson was a part of the committee that terminated CM Punk from AEW

dont have select so I'll post in full when the article is free

Also apparently says he is also responsible for fining talent etc.

My personal opinion: Another reason why he's the all time goat

I'm sure social media will take this well.

Yeah, I probably could’ve made this a thread over doing the general thread lol but as I said there, tells me all I need to know. Punk and Bryan are good friends, and if Bryan was like yeah, homie has to go then he had to go. In Bryan We Trust

Yep. Sometimes the hardest decisions in life are like that. Sometimes you got to do what may not make the most money, but has the best intentions for the long run.

People are hating him online for it but he made the right call plus yeah he is friends with Punk. If your friend thinks you should be fired, you probs deserve it

Of course the social media toxic fanboys hate him for it now, but their opinions don't count for shit when it comes to making the right call in a difficult situation.

That too. It would be best to ignore them, but sadly they constantly get quite the good, big stage set up for them by various people.

Yep. Can’t tell you how many people I seen on Twitter who’s all over Punk’s nuts but if you look at their Twitter history, they was talking shit about him at late as All In. :heston it’s why I at least give credit to guys like Smark and Jimmy who’s been with Punk through the highs and lows because they at least like the guy no matter what.

They'll hate him for 5 minutes and then move on to the next person. Social media's gonna social media.

Mostly, I guess. A lot ride on it or get it back out as soon as they think they have a "gotcha" moment with it or to throw it at someone's face in "defense" or things like that.

“Yeah, I’m part of the disciplinary committee and clearly what’s happened has happened,” he said. “I’m somebody who...I liked CM Punk, I thought he brought a lot to AEW. There’s not a lot I can say about it or that I really want to say about it, but I am a part of it.”

“I mean, there were more than three people involved in this decision. But most of them were all lawyers," he said. "To say that I was the head...I don’t even have a college degree.”

When asked if it was a difficult move to fire Punk, Danielson said that it was.

“Absolutely, yeah,” he said. “I have a lot of empathy...and I am grateful of the time he spent in AEW and he did a great job for us, so yeah, I wish him the best in his future and I hope he goes well.”
