Is Bruno even relevant to people any more though? After all he is a legend but how many of the casual fans will even know him? I'm not sure as I'd class him as a big name in the business to them.

Nuff said imo.
I like to go all the way with knowing about wrestlers.

Didn't answer my question. Is he relevant to the casual WWE wrestling fan?

Guys, he's Bruno F'N Sammartino. The Babe Ruth of pro wrestling. He's relevant. Relevancy is a relative term anyway, it's all about how/when you promote it.

Okay Seabs.

Roddy Piper never won the world title, but he's made himself relevant b/c he keeps up with the times

If he's asked to put over Sean O'Haire he will do so. Is he a legend on Sammartino's level? He may not be, but he's still very beloved

When Piper appears I see signs. Fans know they can expect great emotion and a unique Piper's pit segment.

No Piper = No CM Punk. Would there be Highlight Reels? Cutting Edge's? Carlito's Cabana? Miz' Dirt Sheet? Santino/Ryder Web Shows?

If Bruno had his way, would there any of the segments as I mentioned above? Bruno is a legend but he won't give back or let us enjoy him

Bruno isn't relevant b/c of his own volition. I can't say Steamboat enjoys the evolution of WWE, but he's a lot contributed since retirement.

He does seem a bit bitter (and always has) about how wrestling has "changed" but he is right that the Hall Of Fame is a joke. They will put anyone at all in there, but only because they like to have as a yearly annual thing and that wouldn't be possible if they only put in people who actually a hall of fame-worthy career. They'd run out of people in no time. Jim Cornette once said that the HOF only began as a yearly thing in 2004 because Vince liked the idea of having some special event the night before Wrestlemania.

He is also right about Hogan and Flair. Flair is especially sad because he almost has to wrestle because he legitimately needs the money, since he blew his on years and years of partying and lost a lot of it after getting divorced a few times. Not long ago, he even had some sort of contest where you could win a chance to have Flair take you to your high school prom, although you still had to pay a lot of money to make it happen lol.

Bruno Sammartino... I have a ton of respect for the man. He is probably the biggest legent in wrestling entertainment next to Hulk Hogan. Sammartino dissing McMahon and the Hall of Fame just goes to show you why he is such a legend. Great legends don't need a HoF "ring" just to prove that they were a legend. Especially Lawler, since he sucked horribly, but he is the oldest ex-wrestler still working in the WWE today I do believe.

Lawler was a legend in the Memphis days bro, check out his matches with Terry Funk. Not to mention his promo ability was top notch. Lawler is a legend he's just lost his fire.

Sounds like a washed up forgotten superstar craving for attention, shooting at hall of fame because he never got inducted. Thats all there is to it. He would kill to be in the same spotlight that hulk and ric are still in.

LMAO Lawler in his days was twice as big as orton is now.
