According to a report by Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net, Bruce Prichard has replaced Vince Russo as the new head writer for TNA’s creative team. Prichard is expected to head up the talent relations area of the company, a role he took on last year. Russo will remain with TNA, but will now be considered a “senior writer” and will continue to script the actual shows with Matt Conway once a direction is planned out by Prichard. Prichard will be the final sign off on scripts. The move reportedly went down within the last week.

Holy shit, about time. I'm taking it this is true. JBL congratulated him on twitter. I wish Russo out right would hang it up but oh well. He will always be legendary for his contributions to the attitude era and his few things he did right in WCW and TNA. The guy can just not move past the 90's booking.

Not exactly sure how qualified Bruce is but this sounds like a good decision.

LOL, this tells me Eric Bischoff has the power in the company now >_>...

...it's what he wanted Ted Turner to do... they wouldn't do it. It's reportedly what he asked for to re-sign, Spyke wants Bischoff in on TNA... Spyke writes the checks... Eric Bischoff finally got his wish...

...now to see if it makes a single fuck of a difference considering they were all defending everything Russo did for forever... >_>

The show has been a lot better the last couple weeks and if Hogan is leaving (hopefully Sting too) then it can only get better. The only hugely fucktarded thing I saw recently was that Pope/Anderson match and the finish, rofl.

Hogan re-signed and Russo has been demoted. I'll believe TNA stands a chance at improvement once Russo is completely extracted from the company. This is no different from when Russo was demoted last time and some of the really awful ideas were allegedly Dutch Mantel's and he and Dixie went back and forth on that. And I've actually watched some of TNA over the past weeks, Angle shouldn't be champion but I think James Storm is a better choice than Robert Roode and the Hogan-Sting is just so, so terrible. That segment made the Raw Walkout seem like Austin driving a Zamboni out to the the ring.

Maybe this will be a good sign as Vince Russo is a complete jackass and Pritchard did some really good shit in the WWE when he was a head writer. Hogan honestly is wasting his time by resigning though. They need to figure out a way to get either Stone Cold or John Cena to wrestle for their company or else theyre dead.

Bobby Roode the ONLY good thing going in TNA right now. Ive been a fan since day 1. Great to see this massive push as its well overdue. But you need more than one good thing in your company if you want to survive.

I forgot why they parted ways but I think it was under good terms. He'll be back someday. I know for awhile he was doing clinics out in independent territories before he was let go, so maybe he felt a diminishing role wasn't suitable for him?

The way Prichard told everyone about his "parting ways" with WWE... Stephanie wasn't comfortable with him on staff.
