TNA Wrestling looks to have got itself a brand new diva, as Brooke Hogan is set to join the cast and crew of the popular wrestling franchise. Following in the footsteps of her father, the wrestling great 'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan, Brooke will be the new executive in charge of the company's female wrestling division, who are known as The Knockouts, and she will appear on the weekly grappling TV show from May 31st 2012.


Brooke, who first shot to fame with her dad, brother Nick and mother Linda on reality TV series Hogan Knows Best, had previously tried her hand at being a singer before deciding to follow on with the family business.


TNA President Dixie Carter has told website TMZ that Brooke is NOT going to be a wrestler, her role on the show will instead be more in an executive capacity and will not feature her in any combat style appearances. Her duties will instead be to develop female talent, help up and coming female wrestlers develop their characters, help with backstage promos and even consult on entrance music - so I guess those singing lessons weren't such a waste of money as at least they'll hopefully mean that she'll have an ear for a decent tune.

I'm still against this idea, I feel it is a mockery of a great division that TNA has.

I can't quite understand this news. When Dixie says "joins the cast", does that mean the whole "Brooke advising people on music and shit" is just gonna be part of her Knockout GM role? Because it makes zero sense for it to happen in real life.

From what I understand, her job is to assist the women with all the aspects of character development, which I feel is stupid considering the women who are in there now don't need any help from her at all. This almost sounds like a way for her to make a paycheck because her daddy is Hulk Hogan.

The thing is, the article says "her role in the show..." which leads me to suggest this will merely be a gimmick. Which isn't nearly as irritable as the idea of her actually performing this job.

Yeah, true, the only thing about TNA is that they consider anyone a part of their show as a cast member, whether it be on television or not. So, I'm really not sure how this will work out, although I wouldn't mind it as much if I didn't have to see her. But, I still take the stand that there is really nothing I feel she can contribute either way.

Oh I agree, I don't see how she can contribute either, other than being Hogan's daughter of course. I just don't want to slam the company unnecessarily.
