The difference is CM Punk's meant something and Brock's doesn't mean anything. CM Punk defended his often and Brock only like five times. Punk put in more work, and Brock puts in none. Punk had to work for his championship, and Brock was handed his. The list can go on to be honest, lol.

@Beavie looks like somebody stole your status from a few days ago~

Another thing to note here is that Lesnar captured the Universal Championship from Goldberg, beating that mean clean, something I don't think anyone else managed to do. Lesnar is treated like a far greater star than Punk ever was.

It is a shame too because Brock is hot for casual fans more so than consistent ones and Punk was more for consistent fans than casual ones.
Brocks name and history in UFC gets him bigger pay and more attention even though statistically, Punk was a much better champ.

I like Brock, specially with Heyman but this crap is old now. Show up and wrestle or drop the belt already.

He's a total bore to me. His schedule and match style won't change much (if at all) after he drops the title, so I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. He's not gonna be mashing your potatoes for you once Reigns finally grabs the gold.

Brocks charm was that he was a beast that came and just beat the crap out of people. He didn't need the belt to do that but since having the belt, specially for this long, he has grown to just be an overly muscular belt holster.

I get that, but his idea of beating the crap out of people is repeating one move over and over for five minutes then winning. Very flat and uneventful.

That is a fair point. This is down to poor booking as well though which makes Brock even more bland.

Brock is the man. Punk is overrated.

Words can't describe how much I hate CM Punk so I'm biased on this anyway.

The less times you defend the belt the better. Makes the division work hard to get a title match. Facing Brock is the promise land.

CM Punk wrestled R-Truth and Kofi Kingston ffs. Is it a world title or a mid card title? Punk played second fiddle to Cena vs Laurenitis for a reason.

I don't care much for Phil but his Punk character was good. He was a hard worker and worked harder than a lot of others in the company which is part of the reason he was pissed. He put in the time and still got treated like a mid-carder. Not to mention how over he was or how they medically neglected him. Then you have Brock (as I have mentioned, I do like him) who hardly does anything and makes tons of money. I have explained that I understand why in other threads but to me, your pay should reflect what you do not who you are.

Punk did more for the company during his reign than Brock has during his. That isn't even an opinion, that is fact. They pay Brock way more which equates to less money and coupled with him pulling in less money as of late just means even more of a loss for the company. They paid Punk much less and he brought in tons of cash.

I understand not liking the dude. I have zero respect for him as a person but he was a hard worker and you can't ignore that.

And yes, Brock does draw but not nearly as much as he used to and this likely has a lot to do with people being fed up with him not being around enough coupled with matches against Roman Reigns.
