I hope he's lying. If Austin is somehow healthy enough to just take a beating from Brock and compete in a match ... It would be amazing.Hope not.
Or to make his marks speculate.I hope he's lying. If Austin is somehow healthy enough to just take a beating from Brock and compete in a match ... It would be amazing.
I just seems like they will do this given that Austin totally cut a promo in his interview with Paul saying he would whoop Brock's ass. There's no reason for him to do that at all unless there's something there
For what? Just to later tweet it's bs? It was a promo and seemed staged.Or to make his marks speculate.
He wants to create talk amongst his marks about a match against Lesnar. it's done in Boxing all the time, and hell even in the world of MMA. Someone touting a match/fight against someone is the cheapest play in the book in terms of getting the marks to speculate. For what? Just to later tweet it's bs? It was a promo and seemed staged.

Well he could take a different kind of beating for a bit. Like lots of punches and stomps and submissions, but Austin could simply keep countering suplexes. If the match were ever to happen, SCSA wouldn't be losing and the match wouldn't be structured as SUPLEX CITY. SCSA wouldn't take a beating from Brock for like 90% of the time and then make the comeback, you can bet on that.
Why though? It still doesn't make sense to create speculation for something that will never be. And this isn't boxing, mMA, this is WWE and Austin did cut a promo on a real talk show. This isn't the same thing. So, it would be odd for him to talk about fighting Brock, cutting a promo, for no reason. He wants to create talk amongst his marks about a match against Lesnar. it's done in Boxing all the time, and hell even in the world of MMA. Someone touting a match/fight against someone is the cheapest play in the book in terms of getting the marks to speculate.
He likely rebuffed his statement after the fans started to over-analyze the 'promo.'
He could be lying, too
Years and years of this has made this a callous strategy to fans. I'm sure people are expecting it more now, than ever.Yep. Not that I expect Austin to return to the ring, but if he WERE planning on wrestling one final match, that tweet is exactly the sort of thing he would be saying anyway, just so his return would be as much of a surprise as possible.
