For a guy who's had so much tragedy in his life, he certainly picks weird things to hold onto. Internationally I have always heard that Bret Hart was a huge draw. In the states not so much. Hogan has also gone through a lot of shit in his life, some brought on by himself. At this point even if Hogan is full of shit, he at least tries to come off as just trying to stay positive. Bret Hart is forever negative, forever holding onto trivial bullshit. If I remember correctly it was either hall or Nash who said Bret would rather be champion than get paid more. In a way I respect that, but in a way that's kind of sad/hilarious.

Bret was a disaster in WCW, his heart wasn't into it. Oh and the fact WCW never had a plan for him. He lost his passion. According to many Bret would show up right before the show, leave early. He didn't give a shit.

Yeah Bischoff is usually full of shit, but I have heard multiple people say that about Bret. Bischoff's brand split never made sense to me. He kept saying NWO would be a brand, but in my head it's like no NWO is a faction. How would you have a brand with everyone in one stable? Never got that theory.

The idea was Nitro would be nWo Nitro and then because WCW lost its primary show WCW introduces Thunder. Nitro would have the nWo branding, but no not everyone would be in the nWo. Think of AEW and The Elite.

That’s literally when they scrapped the idea. This was the final Nitro before Starrcade. At that Starrcade Bischoff was supposed to beat Larry to make that permanent.

As for the nWo Nitro idea, I actually think it would have worked. The problem was they spent 25 minutes changing the set and had too many Hogan receives gifts segments. I think had they made a proper plan it could have been killer. They had 200 people on payroll at that time. Imagine if Thunder became the Jericho, Giant, Eddie, Benoit, Saturn, Mysterio show?

The nWo Souled Out PPV probably further killed those chances...but I also think they just did some stupid stuff on those shows that do not necessarily mean the brand split would have failed if they kept it up...just that they failed those couple times of trying for other reasons.
