In a story that could change the whole view of the Benoit tragedy, Chris Benoit's father will be doing several media appearances offering some shocking new information.

Michael Benoit claims that Chris Benoit had some Neurological scans of his brain, which have revealed he had post concussion syndrome and a condition called Frontal Lobe Syndrome.

Frontal Lobe Syndrome causes emotional and social withdrawal, outbursts of rage and violent behavior.

If this is confirmed it partially reliefs Benoit of his crimes, because in essence he had brain damage. This would also put part of the blame on the wrestling schedule as these disorders are attributed to repeated blows to the head.

We'll follow this story closely and get word on Michael Benoit's TV appearances.

Shame the media are still gyna shit all over it & claim it was because of the Steroids!

Hopefully this calms down the steroid talk for a bit but in the process they'll start attacking WWE on why there schedule is so much!

It is a shame that Benoit suffered with this condition and it is highly possible that without this condition, the tragedies would not have take place. However, no matter what conditions he was suffering from can condone his actions and he deserves the treatement which he has recieved from all quarters, since the story broke. At least the steriod saga can be put to rest (even though he was on the list... (I think?)).

Whatever the scenario, it wouldn't have been an excuse for what he did. And either way, the wrestling world will be at fault.

Yeah, uncontrollable brain damage isn't an excuse... right.

Yeah this definitely changes SOME things, although sadly I doubt the media will give a damn. They'll just use this to attack WWE's schedule now.

Yeah, so everyone who originally didn't know the facts and called him "A sick fuck", (or something along those lines) can come in and apologize for talking on situations they evidently didn't know anything about. I'll be looking forward to that.

I'm just glad I didn't say anything about the situation when it happened except "This sucks and is very unfourtunate". I never made any assumptions or said anything negative about Chirs Beniot on the chance that he may have had a condition that caused him to commit those awful acts.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Fucking AGREED to that completely man, the same views for me. I never assumed anything and jumped to conclusions acting like a little emotional girl insulting Benoit for 'what he did'. I seriously would like to see all those douche bags come and apologize as well as I lost respect and credibility for them along time ago. But like Defiant One said, the media isn't going to give a shit probably, and to be honest I was more pissed to watch the little kids on this forum cry and constantly call Benoit a murderer etc. etc. when the case was never for sure, then the things the media are doing. At least that is expected from the media.

His murdered his wife and young son. There is no excuse that can be given to condone those actions. Fuck all who think otherwise!

He had a mental condition apparently, it wasn't the "real" Chris Beniot in a normal state of mind to consider wheather his actions were right or wrong. I hate the fact he did it to, honestly. But people just want to continue to hate him because they think somehow it will make it all better, and that they can easily justify hating a murderer. The problem is they don't consider any dangerous conditions he may have had.

The fact is he had a mental condition, and that is what made him do the act. It WAS NOT the mentally healthy Beniot that had loved his family all those years before. Please everyone, consider the facts in place now...
