It goes without saying that Braun's injury is a major blow for both RAW and us fans in general being that indeed he was one of the main reasons for us to tune in. You can easily argue that his booking overall has been questionable at times and you can even throw the lame scripted lines they force him to say but there's no argument he has been one of the best acts on the show every Monday.

Aside from the immediate impact, his injury pretty much changes everything as far as near future plans are concerned and this is a subject that I feel really ties into the discussion. For instance, where does this leave Roman Reigns and where does he go from here? Though nothing officially announced, it was pretty much a given that Strowman and Reigns were going to have their rubber match at Extreme Rules in some gimmick match, likeliest scenario being an ambulance match. So much for that...

How about Brock Lesnar? Again, based on the rumor mill (as well as a few seeds planted a while back on RAW), Lesnar versus Strowman was the idea for the biggest party of the summer so one can only wonder what plan b is.

As far Roman Reigns is concerned, I can easily see WWE going back to what they did a few months back when he got caught with that violation, which is throw him into the next best thing, aka the IC title scene. Now, obviously this ain't the same situation and you could perhaps fault me for comparing different things but the fact of the matter is, the Roman versus Brock programme is being saved for Wrestlemania next year. It's too big of a match, they've already planted the seeds, it's pretty much a done deal unless something really major comes up. Based on that, WWE need and are looking to keep these guys apart for the time being and going back to Roman's violation, what did WWE do in order to keep him out of the Universal title picture? They simply put him in a programme with then US champion Rusev. So...who's to say they can't do it again, this time being the IC title given the recent swap during the shake up?

in Brock's case, perhaps things are not as complicated for the simple reason (well, aside from his rare appearances anyway to begin with) that WWE has plenty of options, whether it'd be Rollins having a stab at it or Fin Balor (both whom have legitimate reasons anyway) or, hell, they could even throw a Bray Wyatt in the mix. Now, I am not forgetting about....dear Lord...Great Balls of Fire but, again, given that WWE have options I feel that if done right, they could probably get passed the time needed until Braun returns.

Anyway, what matters most is that Strowman has a speedy recovery so...enough said.

This is a real shame for Braun...he has been the breakout star since the brand
split (along with Alexa Bliss). Now I will admit I haven't paid any attention to anything
Braun has done since Fastlane...but that isn't his fault.

Hopefully he can bounce back after the extended break and pick from where he left off.
