well he started off heel actually and face turned and that was bad. then he went heel again and had that terrible feud with owens and then idk i stopped around there lol

I think what happened is they misinterpreted the cheers he was getting during the Roman feud and turned him face shortly after iirc, but the reason people were cheering him was a lot because he was whooping Roman's ass. people didnt want a face turn and him turning into a geek tagging with a kid for a feel good story. People liked he was a giant 5 word killer lol

Samoa Joe losing that feud made me super sad and I agree 100% that him or Braun should have won when they were at their very peak of popularity and reactions. they got gun shy both times, and I was def feeling that way ta the time too so it's not revisionism in my case

You’re right in the sense that he was a heel but he got over as a babyface by beating Roman’s ass weekly.

But there is a small period of time where Braun Strowman was the most over guy in the company

The feud with KO was the nail in coffin for me with Braun. He was supposed to be the babyface but he came off like such a jerk and was just a straight up bully to KO.

Braun was just smashing and embarrassing him weekly, pretty simular to his feud sith Sami Zayn not long before that. He also launched KO off a cage and then a ladder during MITB. KO probably lost years of his career to that feud for real
