Bound for Glory 2017 Discussion Thread

I literally laughed seeing Bonnar.

Should be Lashley vs Drake for the title. Where in the heck is EC3 at? Surely TNA can't leave him off this card. I know they're not TNA, but to use to calling them anything else but that. Regardless Mundo/Impact will probably win that world title. The show will probably be pretty solid though for such a weak card. Despite shoddy weekly shows TNA's last three PPVs at least that I have seen have been pretty average to good.

Also there will be a X Division match surely. Which will be a great one.

Well Taya and Rosemarie will almost definitely face each other at BFG based on this past week's programming. They definitely implied it would go down and likely have some kind of hardcore stipulation.

I'm also guessing BFG will have either a triple threat between Storm, EC3 and Eddie Edwards or a six-man tag with those 3 against 3 AAA guys.

Since Garza Jr. is still involved in the Eli Drake/Johnny Impact feud I'd be willing to bet we get Adonis vs. Garza to fill some time.

As for the X-Division title, I vote they bring back Ultimate X. Lee vs. Dutt vs. Petey vs. Sydal. That would probably make the PPV almost decent.

I had never heard of or seen the Bound For Gold but I just looked it up and I mean, sure, they could toss that in there. I think it's a good match concept and would definitely be a good yearly feature for Bound For Glory. I'm just unsure if Impact has 10 more legit competitors to put in this match. There's only a handful of guys that could feasibly earn a world title shot on the entire roster right now.

Last year I think Eli Drake won. And rest was.. terrible. Match and competitors. But still, it's better than some of them facing off in a match that there is no prize. When there is prize, it makes things interesting. Last year Eli was favourite but it was close...

Since I've been watching again I can't really pinpoint any lower or mid card guys that I could see as potential world champions or any that are being pushed in that direction. I'm not saying it's implausible though, just that it will probably be a dud. Eddie, James and EC3 are already at a point where them winning this would not be stunning or meaningful. Adonis winning could open up some interesting possibilities but if they try to push him as a face, I don't see fans buying into it. Garza Jr. has been lingering in the world title picture lately and would be the most intriguing possibility for me, and even then I'm still not real interested. So basically, I'm on board with the idea of having the match, I'm just very dubious about how good it would be unless there's a surprise debut or something like that.

Yeah I look forward to hearing speak about all of this more, because she was doing what she wanted coming out pretty much naked so I guess the money wasn't right for her right now.

EC3 was just added to the card in a six-man match.

I would have him in a better spot, personally, but we'll see how it goes.

BFG has been an unpredictable beast in the past few years, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Johny finally climbs to the top of the mountain.

Too soon. Also just don't cut his run off. Utilize and get him over like Magnus, Roode etc.

It's probably too soon for Impact, but people have been clamoring for his push for years so Impact being Impact will probably jump on it.
