I explained why in a calm manner with a touch of sarcasm. and I stand by it, you don't get to have it both ways. either we can talk about it or we can't, so you targeting my post as inappropriate because it's beyond the scope of 'wow that's terrible' is lame imo, and I'm gonna defend my position every time. Again I understand YOU don't want this talk in your thread. I'm telling you from my pov, don't bring it up at all if we're not allowed to discuss it or express our opinions further. I don't think that is an unreasonable position.

There’s a thread we designed for this discussion where this discussion is even currently being had, so I’m not really sure why it’s such a problem that one person who runs this particular contest doesn’t want to talk about it.

And forums have always policed where discussions can be had in certain topics. That’s nothing new, anyways I’m done dealing with this, so feel free to talk about it til your hearts content, Jeff. I mean this is an old thread anyways, so I’m just gonna go into the week 8 thread.

I personally did. I was originally only explaining the thread creator’s issue wasn’t the timing.

All forum guidelines could be construed as imaginary guardrails, if you like, but keeping topics on topic isn’t a new concept. I try not to personally push this too hard, though, is maybe it’s my mistake. We iften let many threads go off topic completely.

i’m not personally upset though, just to be clear. I was even talking with you guys on the other thread. So feel free to express yourself however, you like Jeff. All I was trying to do was explain a little bit more from where Jake was coming from as it’s his thread and his game, and I was trying to respect his wishes.
