Well I’m younger than you and still enjoy Frank Sinatra so it’s just a person to person thing I guess. The style of music they sing is definitely different but idk it’s easy to relax to and just bop along
As far as my “legendary artist” comment goes, I was half joking but I meant like you can’t compare some of the best artists of all time to a bunch of theater covers. That’s like comparing Ric Flair to Hornswoggle
Yeah, I already said that it being before your time doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy. There are people that like all kinds of different styles of music. My point was is that music from the 40s is just stylistically and artistically completely different than almost anything else you’ll hear today. It’s basically its own genre of music. And I don’t personally enjoy it.
See, this is where your snobbery comes in again. If you actually listen to some of those songs, you might actually think some of them there could be bangers. This isn’t actual theater kids. You know that right. They paired up with an actual studio with people that actually knew how to sing and recorded them professionally. When you see them singing in the theater, they just played the professional track over the television show. You’re aware of this right?
