BOTS 8 Round 3 - 2007

I was curious how a more recent year would look genre-wise. I'm glad to see some variety, including some deep cuts that I'm unfamiliar with, even a couple that are by artists that I like. A lot of these songs are associated to core memories for me, but probably none moreso than Beautiful Girls, because I was locked onto MTV, VH1, Fuse, etc. that summer and that music video was inescapable.

The song I'm up against also is probably among my all-time favorite songs it's actually from the first album that I can remember owning, that wasn't passed down or whatever.

Beautiful Girls is definitely one of the first songs I think of from that era. I felt like I heard it like a million times back then but never seemed to grow tired of it. Sign of a great song. I would have voted for in that match up if it wasn't against a Linkin Park song that I absolutely love. Glad I could put both in my Top 3.

Paramore vs Avril was tough for me as well, as somebody that loves both a lot. Misery Business is such a fire song though.
