yeah there was definitely some interpretations of Pop that I wasn't looking for or expecting but they were all chart toppers so here we are

That's the problem with "pop music" as a genre. Especially when it comes to the late 90s/early 00s. The lines were blurred so much during that time period (imo at least), that it's hard to pin down on a single specific sound or style. When I personally hear pop music of that era, my first thought are boy bands/girl groups and artists that got big through casting shows. Didn't even cross my mind, like I said, to go with the proper name of "popular music".

Yea... but I would call Afroman cheesier than Britney Spears tbh But I get what you mean...

I hate that I can't put up songs in categories like this, that were big here. Those, who would do a short Google search would find out immediately they come from me. ...or the German texts would give it away.

Because believe me... we had some absolute prime cheese in our charts in the early 2000s.

Tbf I wouldn't immediately suspect you if I saw a German song bc I think you'd have exactly that thought process lol but then the first time it was revealed it was yours I'd suspect all future songs were

And also I’m not super worried about anonymity as much anymore cuz anyone I would suspect of voting against someone cuz of who it is are long gone. It’s still a nice touch to keep it anonymous but nothing I’m worried about

That's good to know... sometimes kinda know who picked a specific anyways. For example I'm pretty sure I know exactly which song is yours this round, Booty and I'm sorry I voted against it.
