I think that might be the best way for me to describe my country listening experience, it just does not draw a single emotion from me. such is life though, I won't say it's bad music. Just doesn't work for me brother.I was going for emotional heartstrings
Im not gonna lie that’s kind of weird cause country music is very emotionalI think that might be the best way for me to describe my country listening experience, it just does not draw a single emotion from me. such is life though, I won't say it's bad music. Just doesn't work for me brother.
it is not weird at all, unless you have very little room for critical thinking. Every music has emotion, but how it makes other people feel is on a case by case basis. Just because some dude in a country song is singing about sad stuff doesn't automatically mean I or anyone can relate to it. I don't know why it is so difficult for you to understand such a simple concept as tasteIm not gonna lie that’s kind of weird cause country music is very emotional

One could argue that it is indeed very superficial and beat you over the head emotion, but I didn't really want to argue against the quality of the music itself. I wanted my argument to be based on the fact that all music is subjective and to expect every single person to feel the exact same way is, respectfully, fucking stupid.I thought you were going to go with something like it's pandering. Because it's so in your face about it.

I'd even argue it's getting worse, because of how views, likes and other numbers are perceived thanks to (social) media.Yeah musical taste being subjective per individual is something that some people just can’t seem to understand no matter how many times we’ve gone over it over the course of this competition
everyone is in their own subjective echo chambers, just look at wrestling as a good exampleI'd even argue it's getting worse, because of how views, likes and other numbers are perceived thanks to (social) media.
How do we know if it pisses them off thoughWe should do a songs that piss people off list I bet that'd be quite the gem for discussion.
